    Sorry for my ignorance, but how do you turn the heater on/off with that adaptor now bud?

    • @WilliamMurfitt
      @WilliamMurfitt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heater valve is constantly open but blower works from the switch, you cannot restrict the flow of fluid with this style of tap

      @@WilliamMurfitt having hot water passing through the matrix constantly, does it not get hot in the car Will? I’m liking the idea but just wondered (especially in this weather) whether it made things a bit hot like

      @@tonywood6332 ive not noticed it being any hotter than with the tap fitted.

    I empathise with the hay fever, certain times of the year here in South Australia I live on antihistamines and nasal sprays.

      thanks mate, it was a bad day yesterday, i've woken up feeling slightly more human, so fingers crossed it's a better day. I was using antihistamine & nasal sprays yesterday but it didn't seem to change the symptoms!

    Well done pal! 👍 that dan stuff does look good! You could always install an inline valve to connect the cable to

    • @WilliamMurfitt
      @WilliamMurfitt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I think if I was going to install a connector I'd look at the later style value that is fitted to the heater hose to bottom hose. But for now I'm going to run it like this and see how we get on.

    Feel for you with the hay fever m8, I’m the same, what’s the deal with the dsn heater tap? I’ve often wondered what do you do with the cable and does the the heater remain fully on or fully off?🤔, getting close to the big start up too 👍🏻

    • @WilliamMurfitt
      @WilliamMurfitt  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      so the heater water flow will remain on all the time, and can be controlled from inside with the switches on and off. and you can delete the cable out, many people would remove the cable and cut the cable so you can use the pull cord still installed. i'll cover this off in a future video :)

  • @classic1989mini
    @classic1989mini ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Did you find it a benefit after fitting the heater tap and removing the heater control cable?

    • @WilliamMurfitt
      @WilliamMurfitt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No more leaky taps is the main one, looks good and better flow around the engine. I consistently have heat in the car too which is great on colder days

  • @davejohnson3376
    @davejohnson3376 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So can you still turn the hot on and off? Did the other heater hose go to the top of the bottom hose originally?

    • @WilliamMurfitt
      @WilliamMurfitt  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As it stands at the moment, the flow of water is constantly on, this is something that i'm going to run with for now and hopefully it will be fine, if needs be i can add in a tap at a later date. as for the hoses, the fletcher kit is a like for like replacement. :)
