I’ve been watching people asking stupid prices for the original issue of this kit for as long as I can remember I’m so glad I never once took the bait. I am glad that this kid is issued although I wish they would make the floor pan not all one piece with the suspension and drive train. That said the Mobius F100s have an awesome chassis under them.
The 63” ford is that of the uni body version notice the lack of bed to cab gap. Ford offered the 63 in both versions standard cab with either the stepside or fleet side bed and the uni body
Thanks Chris for the quick unboxing looks like a cool kit expressly with the camper shell 🐚 I'm definitely going to get it to go along with the El Camino with the camper ( I made the El Camino into a 4×4 ) an thank you for your time and effort you put into are videos 👍🏻👍🏻
Can’t handle this much excitement; two days worth and more to come. Can’t wait to put my order in. These pickups look great! Thanks Round2! Thank you Chris for the unboxing. Looking forward to your next segments. 🛻😎👍
Leelanau is on the Lake Michigan side of the State, Chris. It's a peninsula up at the tip of the little finger of your left hand, on the map of Michigan. Disappointed that Round2 for whatever reason didn't replicate the regular 292 V8 (or even the I-6). Tri-carbs????? I don't remember that. I would have been buying multiple '63 kits, to build them in more colors. But now, I'll just buy one copy. Tri-carbs with no air cleaner looks like a restomod truck, not the stock truck I wanted.
Isn't it ironic they finally re-release this kit, (something ERTL was never able to do) in a time when this is actually one of the most rare of Ford Pickups with that back window. Ford called it "panoramic view" or something.
I believe this to be a representation of the "uni body" they had! There were issues with it cracking at the cab to bed interface so they stopped making them.
AMT, came out with this kit in 1963, this kit is an old re issue. I built mine when I was 12 years old, and I'm now seventy 73& 3/4 years old. I built this to be a trailer towing PU.
the camper will go on one of my dodges if it fits, part of my racing team, the ford will be like one of my high school buddies had, i notice both the 60 and 63 are optioned similarly, both cleaned up and re tooled stuff i saw as a little guy, {yes i am old} brother and his friends had these years ago, good to see them again, {not brother and his friends}
Hey Chris, it's so great to be around here again. I really loved AMT models, and this isn't the exception. What a beautiful truck and camper. As you've said, it's not common to see one like this. In fact, I had never seen one before, neither in America nor Mexico. As usual, AMT manufactured very beautiful and crisp models. You don't know how happy I am knowing that AMT is back again. Right now, I'm on a PT boat in 1/72 from revell. Let me tell you that it's so disappointing and yet frustrating, the very poor quality of revell Germany models. As I see it, if they keep launching garbage like this, they will go into bankruptcy very soon. I'm 63, but when I was very young, maybe tender age 13 or 14, revell's were beautiful models, hard to find with so faulty engineering. 😢😢😢😢😢 so sad to watch an American brand in the hands of people that seem not to care about the brand's future. People, may this 2024 will be full of great things to everyone!!!!! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊.
This one along with the 60 f100 and the Warlock truck are some of my most anticipated kits for this year
On my list to get!!!!!!! 👍👍

We need some pre-72 Dodge truck kits….
Can't wait to get this kit .

Styleside, NOT Fleetside! GM made Fleetsides wrong model name
I've heard if those unibody trucks flexed too much the doors could pop open.
Ford never referred to them as unibodies. The original brochures called them integral stylesides.
I'm going to have to order this one

Yup! Extra stuff was the best part of the AMT kits back in the 60s.
with Camper Shell - NICE !
build that one next!
Can't wait to get that truck and the 1960
Box art looks cool, but I’m guessing those guys are over 7’ tall.😁😁they are taller than the camper

Looks like a good kit,i may buy a couple, thanks for the great preview!!
this is a step towards achieving my goal of having/making a model of each of the vehicles that i Own in life/
Looking forward to all your 2024 build videos ❤ this would be cool as a 70s street freak type custom too
The chrome is from the 1960 F100 you showed us the day before
That's what he said about it. You must have missed it.
Definitely looking forward to getting one in the stash! Can't wait to see your build as well! Thanks Chris!
Nice looking kit. I don’t like the molded in exhaust, or rear end, but it won’t stop me from buying one. Thanks for sharing.

Totally agree! It should have the stock carb and air cleaner set up for both this one and the 60!
@@philiplawless81 golly, I missed that when watching the '60 video.
Guess I'll only buy a single copy of that one now, too. 😞
That is a great kit .
I like the big FORD letters on the back .
Very cool 😎
I definitely want this kit!! Reminds me of a 60s kit
The red plaid jacket and pants was commonly called the "the Pennsylvania tuxedo"
That is a neat camper to go on there. Thanks for showing this.

also the one piece body
Traverse City is in Leelanau county Michigan. Awesome video and thanks for sharing! 👊
Always likes the box art
Nice replica of the 63 unibody F-100. The bed is attached to the back of the cab. Just like the real truck.

Cool stuff always thanks

That would be Leelanau, Michigan. It is located near Traverse City in the Northwest corner of the lower peninsula of Michigan.
yeah ill take one of those for sure !!!
This camper shell is unique in terms of the shape.
Do you ever build with 3d parts?
The box says that it's a f 100 but the box art makes it look like a ranchero.
Very cool! Great video
I'll probably get one of these. Wondering why there's no stock engine option, unless the tri-carbs were stock?
The camper bodies added to US pickups are interesting, some nice, some weird looking. Interesting to see what come up in models
I wish they included a '64 grille and bumper.
hey first post !
Nice preview! That truck would look nice with a 427 SOHC engine with a 4-speed.
Thanks for sharing. Any idea when it will be available?

I guess I’m a little disappointed that neither the ‘60 nor the ‘63 has an articulating tailgate.
Should be pretty easy to cut out with a razor saw if you're comfortable doing a little surgery on your kit.
Actually the rule is you must use ALL of the parts in the box😂😂😂😂
Now you tell us !
it sort of looks like it may be a pop up camper in real life
probably a canvas extension
It's worth buying for just the Cool Kat lol
It took some cahoneys to issue those truck kits, and I applaud it.... but I'm NOT diggin' the one piece bottoms.... it's kind of low rent old
looks like a mobias kit tooling ?
👍👍👍👍
Thank you for this review. Have a great build.🛻
Look at the
Another disappointment on a new kit again molded in chassis n exhaust again..
