My comment simply gives thanks to the main suspects responsible for my frustration with the consequences, and don’t believe it displays a lack of understanding. My decision to vote to stay in the EU was done knowing what I was voting for at the time with awareness of the potential benefits of Brexit on offer. I feel that I’m still yet to see the benefits that were ultimately voted for as legit, with previous ones we had that I valued like free movement, for example, taken away.

All 4 international freight companies my company is using have announced they'd be charging more from now on to compensate for the time lost at the border (normally they get paid when they drive, not when they're idle), and one of which said they'd even charge by the hour. My wife is american, when she first came to the UK in 2015 she was well impressed by how cheap and abundant and good quality the fruit and vegetables were in every supermarket we went in. She is no longer impressed. Just recently she visited Hungary for a few months, and said they've now got the UK beat hands down for quality and quantity, everywhere.

The lady in blue still doesn't understand that UK is a third country. She does not bñame Brexit but the negotiation. Maybe she should know that even after leaving Europe, Europe still is trying to favour uk.

The EU is not zero-sum. It’s not politically expedient for it to have losers on its doorstep. It will do everything in its power to support stability in the UK up until the point that doing so undermines member states.

The absolute madness of Brexit must be reversed sooner or later, we need to get behind rejoin and give Starmer a kick in the right direction

Europe will have no appetite for the UK rejoining for quite a while; think of Brexit as a super nasty divorce. I reckon it’ll be a couple of generations (~50 years) for a realistic timeframe by which time the UK will probably look like a developing country. Still, at least the wealthy got wealthier.

Unfortunately there is no mechanism for 'rejoining', the reality is the uk is now in the position that it has to join, meet all of the Copenhagen criteria and worst of all, somehow overcome the ill feeling created by the far right media, the tories, old labour gammons, the list goes on. We can't overlook the damage that 30 years of a constant stream of insults and moaning. I hope I'm wrong as I just want to leave the uk, I'm finished with idiot island. I owe so much to freedom to live and work in the EU and lived in Greece, Germany and France where I literally made the prson I am today.

      But it's not just Starmer.
The Tories are still ideologically wedded to Brexit and Reform are doing the rounds.
Before we even get into serious negotiations the EU leaders (member states) will want to see greater political stability and unity on the matter.
