1) Quit India Movement:
The Quit India Movement did not achieve its immediate goal of securing India's independence. The British authorities responded with a heavy-handed crackdown, arresting many leaders and suppressing the protests. The movement gradually lost momentum, and by 1944, several key leaders were released from prison one of them being Gandhi ji who bailed citing health issues.
So it was disastrous failure.
2) Azad Hind Fauz:
The Japanese began to doubt Bose's credibility during the INA's involvement in the Burma Campaign in 1944. The INA, led by Bose, fought alongside the Japanese against the British in the hope of gaining support for India's independence.
However, during the battles in Imphal and Kohima in 1944, the INA faced difficulties. The Japanese doubted the effectiveness of Bose's leadership and the INA's military capabilities. The INA suffered significant losses, and the Japanese military questioned Bose's strategic decisions. This period marked a turning point, and Bose's relationship with the Japanese became strained.
3. USA and allies :
A) International Support for Independence: Post-war, the global sentiment shifted towards self-determination and anti-imperialism. The USA and other Allied powers supported the idea of nations gaining independence. The Atlantic Charter, endorsed by the Allies in 1941, expressed the principles of self-determination and equality for all nations.
B) Pressure on Britain: The economic strain from the war, coupled with the changing global attitudes towards colonialism, increased pressure on Britain to grant independence to its colonies. The Labour government elected in 1945 was more amenable to the idea of decolonization.
So in a nutshell, it was due to change in global dynamics of power and global geopolitics that lead to independence of India. Without WW2 India never had a chance of independence, British had ruled India for 200 years for a reason. Why India got independent only after WW2? If there was no Hitler, Gandhi, Netaji, Bhagat Singh would had been just another freedom fighter in history books.

lots of things is not present in our history books,like Netaji Subash Chandra Bose got Andaman and Nikabor islands as a gift from Japan during world war 2, they came in north east part of India and capture all those area from barish government. Then he established first government of undivided Indian on 21 October 1943 and he was the first president and prime minister of undivided India and they had their own currency 💵, minister cabinet, national flag, national army(on 4 July 1943), Navy , everything. ,......... Biggest thing is that it was undivided India, not like now 😢😢..... literally we lost our legend. lots of people trying to remove him from history page and they also successful but they can't remove Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose from our heart ❤️
