    I hope you're all doing great! I'm pretty sure issue #3 is a "me" thing, and likely not an issue with the watch. I'm sure it would be out there everywhere if it was a widespread issue. I did try taking another ECG 5 more times, and I got the same "Poor Reading" message every time.
    I'll play around with it some more, and will provide an update when I get it working. Thanks for stopping by.
    Update 8/13/2023: @Nitro2K11 recommended I do a complete Reset on the GW 6 classic to help with issue #3, and that completely resolved it! The heart rate monitor tile now looks completely different and works, and ECG readouts are working fine after doing the Reset. Thanks a million @Nitro2K11, hopefully this helps you out if you find yours isn't working either. I'm sure an update would have eventually sorted it out.

      Imainge not having a Samsung phone, then these health functions do not work at all

    I've had the watch 6 classic LTE 47mm for nearly a week. Battery has been ok, google services currently on 4.7%. My heart rate monitor works perfectly. Loving the watch so far. I had the gw4 LTE before and battery life is similar. Samsung usually fix everything with updates...

      I was able to get the third issue fixed by resetting and not restoring from backup. When I tried restoring from backup, it still failed. Seems like a weird one-off thing for my watch only.
      Hopefully we get a fix for the battery drain issue soon, it seems to be related to Wear OS. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your experience with GW6 so far.

      I'm right there with you, even still right now. I'm probably going to keep the 6 for my channel's sake, but honestly, if I didn't have this channel it would be a real tough decision. I wouldn't be suprised if I just held on to the 5 pro in that case. A lot of folks are saying "I'm getting 2 day's battery, it's great...", and they don't realize what you and I are coming from - a solkd 4 days battery life. It's something you miss very fast, lol. Amazfit GTR 4, a temp owner chiming in! My GTR 4 boasts an Amoled display packed with health tracking, step counting, notifications, call handling, music playback, and customizable watch faces - all akin to Galaxy watches but with a larger screen. What's the kicker? It lasts way longer than 2 days without needing a charge. Costing around $279 here, it's cheaper than the Galaxy 6 watches. Something just doesn't add up or make sense.
      It's possible to create a smartwatch that lasts longer and matches Samsung's capabilities, but at a fraction of the price.

    I went through the same thing with my S23 Ultra, when I first received it. These products go through a battery training process and once they are finish, they give much better battery life. Thanks for the warning 👍 I really had plans to get one after buying an S23 Ultra, but after this and many other similar videos, I'm really considering not bothering.

      Thanks for stopping by, and my apologies for the slow reply. I've been away for 2 cataract eye surgeries. I feel you. This watch is almost there, it really is nice and all, but it just lacks that "wow" factor that I was hoping for. It's grown on me a lot since putting out this video, but I'd honestly wait if you can until the next iteration, especailly if battery life is of concern. I don't think it's a big deal for most people, but I'm coming from the Watch 5 Pro, that thing had a solid 4 days battery life. I'd snag one of those on the cheap if you can, it's darn the same watch otherwise, except the 5 Pro is Titanium, so the build is even better.

      @RADERTECH 👍 You know, at this stage of the game, it seems like enhanced batteries are that magical 30 years away.
      Watch7, Watch8 etc etc. will all be duds interms of battery life. Not until we, as a race, ALL experience a new energy breakthrough, they'll just be yanking their you know what's with these amateurish incremental advancements. It's 2024 and we're STILL complaining about gas prices instead of asking, WHY ARE WE STILL ON THE PETRO-DOLLAR anyway!!!!????
      Even nuclear diamond tech was a potential.

      Hi, thanks for stopping by and sharing your experience! The battery on mine has been improving a lot since I first got, it's now pushing close to 2.5 days, up from just 1.8 days when I first got it. That's a huge improvement. You're totally right about me not mentioning the battery size difference in this video, I'm sorry about that, I certainly should have. I did in the unboxing and a couple videos leading up to the GW6 launch, but forgot to mention it in this one.

    I have the GW 5 44MM ⌚️ and yes i have to charge it because iam on my feet at work for 16 hours its will be 100% but by the time i gets off work its wil be down to between 70% or 60% but i never have its on the hole day or two-days on my wrist. Now what I attend to notice is when you put the watch band on and take it off its shows the band line and the bottom of the face on your wrist and what I believe is with you sir on the GW 6 classic 47mm that not reading right is you need to tighten it down more so it can hug your wrist ⌚️🤜🏻 . But iam going to buy the GW 6 classic 47mm and the GW 7 i hop its a more bigger face like a 50mm because my wrist is big i don't like smell faces on a watch ⌚ thats just my opinion Thanks 👍🏾💯%🏆

    Comparing battery life with the 5Pro seems like apples and oranges, since the 5Pro was a different model from the Watch 5. Comparing with the Watch 5 would be more appropriate. For the HRM, have you checked to see if there's a plastic film you forgot to remove on the back of the watch?

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for stopping by! Very true, a comparison between the regular 5 and 6 classic would be more fare in regards to battery. My girl has the regular watch 5, she gets about 2D 22H battery life, so a little better than what I'm getting on the 6 classic. I wish they have kept using titanium instead of switching back to alumunium. That would have saved a bunch of weight, and they could have opted for a slightly bigger battery. Or even better, a watch 6 Classic Pro to complete with the 5 Pro's battery life.
      I ended up doing a couple full resets on the watch to get the heart rate stuff working. I had to do fresh install, restoring from a backup hosed it up every time. Thankfully that part's sorted out now. Now if only google play services would stop killing the battery, I'd be a happy camper with it. The longer it's off the charger, the more % the play services keep using. Mine's up 38.8% usage right now as I type this, that's nuts. They need to fix that, ASAP.

      I was able to get last issue fixed by doing a full reset, without restoring from backup. When I tried restoring from a backup, it was still hosed. The battery is concerning, mainly Google Play services really. If they can get that sorted out, we should get very close to a full 3 days without AOD on. Not the same 4 days solid as the 5 pro, but at least that would get us close. I'm basing that off the mah difference between the 2 batteries, and the fact that the updated SoC might churn through the battery a little fast too, since it's overclocked, but bascially the same chip otherwise. The google play services eating away the battery life is a real bummer. It's up to almost 40% on mine right, highest it's ever been. The longer it's off the charger, the higher that number keeps growing.

      I charge most of my other stuff every night but for a watch - the health aspect of it monitoring your sleep patterns, heartbeep/rem etc is worth wearing it in my sleep so I'd have to charge it at a different time. Worth noting that these watches aren't using the newest snapdragon 5 pro chips (or what could have been some similar more advances samsung gen). The new snapdragon chips are more powerful + have dual processors that are more efficient and would save a lot of battery life. Samsung watches are using the same chip from last year I think so they are not up to speed on that really. This radartech review also mentioned reports of somewhat worse battery life hours from some people - but different people view the screen for different amounts of time a day, and use different color backgrounds (white uses more light than black for example), use music players for different # of hours, etc. You'd have to put the watches on a specific app/background and drain them fully to get a real idea of the actual baseline. There are too many variables but it's obvious it's not great compared to some watches. Two days is plenty for me personally though.

    for my 47mm LTE the battery life is decent,im coming from a watch 4 classic 46mm bluetooth. When i check my battery status the most thats eating up my battery is 50% Google Assistant, and then AOD,and then google play is like .5%. Right now im looking at my watch it says i have 81% battery left and it will last about 24Hours. As for the heart rate monitor mine is working fine,I learned that wearing your watch closer up your wrist right behind the bone instead of closer to your hand gets better readings,so try wearing further up your wrist.But you cant compare the classic6 to a 5 pro. The pro5 is meant for longer battery life and ruggedness like the apple watch ultra,this watch 6 classic should be compared to the 4classic and regular 5.

    I think people are going to have issues with the heart rate monitor depending on the size of your wrist. I have a very large wrist and I have to use the last pin whole on the strap. The large watch was not comfortable and wouldn't sit right on my wrist. I got the smaller version that was almost identical in size to my Active 2 that I'm replacing. Everything works perfect and is the perfect size for my large wrist. The larger watch seems to me of more of like a fashion accessory. It looks nice, but with the heavier weight, bulkiness, and the desing of the strap / connecting point. Make it really uncomfortable and doesn't lay flat on your wrist. Our wrists aee curved and the watch is not. The large size makes it much harder to sit flat and probably get an accurate reading with your heart rate.

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for stopping by and sharing your experience! I was able to get it working by doing a full reset of the watch and not restoring from backup, so a fresh install. It was the only thing that worked, but glad it did.
      I totally agree on the fashion statement, it really is. They had it right with old S series watch, do you remember that bad boy? It had this cool curve to it, and it looked way ahead of it's time for the time. I don't think folks knew what to think of it, but I sure liked it!
      I loved the Active 2 by the way. I skipped the GW3 to rock the Active 2 for an extra year. That was my favorite smart watch of all time actually. Well, the 5 pro is up there too, but just becuase of the killer battery life, that's the only real reason.

    • @victorandrade7940
      @victorandrade7940 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RADERTECH I loathed getting rid of my Active 2, but it will lose support soon and I couldn't pass up the $150 trade in. There are certain features that are missing that nobody really mentions. You can hide apps on the Active 2 using the Gear Wearable app. I can't do that on the 6 Classic. I hide the messages app for privacy reasons and would only get notifications if I wore it. You can access the messages app at all times on the Classic 6.
      Unless I haven't figured it out yet. I would like more privacy when my watch isn't being worn. As some of my messages and work relies on sensitive information. It needs better security or have some of those features brought back.

      Hi, thanks for watching. If LTE is something you really want, I'd go with that model. This way only bluetooth will be on, that's all you really need anyways when the phone is close to you.

      Thanks for another visit my friend! On the surface without knowing what's important to you, I would go for the watch 6 classic. It looks a little better in person (not by much, just a tad), and you get the rotating bezel.
      I think it really comes down to how important battery life is for you. I used to get roughly 4 days on a single charge with my 5 pro, and just over 2 days with the 6 classic. Though I'm not sure if the 5 pro will actually last that long now, considering all of the updates that have come out.
      I would still lean on the 6 Classic though.

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for stopping by. It really depends on which model you're coming from. If you have the 4 classic or 5 pro, I'd honestly just stick with what you have, unless your 4 classic battery is starting to drain faster since it's getting older now. The gwt6 classic is amazing, no doubt, but the battery life is def a downgrade from the 5 pro. So is the material used. This year we get aluminum, and the watch 5 pro is made out titanium. It's nice though... it's a bit faster, and the screen really is something, I do like it more than anything that's come out so far. I can only speak for the 47mm version though, I haven't seen the smaller one yet.

    Hi. First you only have to send the Watch back not the band from your previous watched and keep the charger as well...
    I have ordered the classic 43mm with LTE and coming from à Galaxy Watch 4 classic 4 46mm seems i am in for a réal treat with battery life lol.
    I ll send i back if i does not last 2 days
    Take care.

    Weird my watch says 0.8% usage on Google play services but my battery takes around 1D 8H to die so far everything works good even tho it's LTE

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  ปีที่แล้ว

      0.8% doesn't seem to bad, still higher than on previous models though. It sounds like it may be an issue with wear os 4, so hopefully an update can fix it soon. 1D 8H isn't bad, but not good compared to last year's either. As long as you don't mind charging it, there's no issue. It's an aweome watch, the screen is amazing. Thanks for stopping by!

    I really don't see the big deal with the battery life, charging this is a very normal part of using devices. Charge your watch while you eat some breakfast, while you take a shower, while you sit at your desk, etc etc.

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know what you mean, but it's a bit of a pain coming from the watch 5 pro. You get spoiled with that 4 day battery life, so going back to 2 days or so was kind of a bummer. But it's not bad, I love this watch otherwise, it's been real nice.

      That sounds about right, that's inline with what I'm getting as well. Compared to the 4, I'm totally cool with that, it seems just fine. It's just hard comparing to the 5 Pro I've been using, at least in regards to battery life. That thing would just keep going and going. But I do like this new watch more though, it feels more polished. Thanks for stopping by!

    Some guy tried to sell me on smartwatches. I don't get why people are so obsessed with these watches. I mean if you can't tell if you are exhausted or not so you need a watch to tell you what it thinks. I really don't get it. At this price it should be a second hand phone. Not for me.

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I get what you mean, but they are nice to have, especially when in the same ecosystem as your phone and tablet. I personally like that when I'm playing music on my phone or tablet, I can just rotate the bezel on my watch without even turning its screen on to adjust the volume. Then with one tap, I'm changing tracks without touching my phone. I like fielding texts and emails with it too. Some emails and texts are just bot junk and the usual automated messages we all get nowadays, and I can quickly tell if it's worth reaching for my phone without having to. There's a lot of "quality of life" things like that going on with it. I don't use it to monitor exercise, and haven't checked on the sleep tracking in ages. Oh, last thing I really like is getting a quick glimpse of the date and time without reaching for my pocket to get my phone. I know, that one's obvious, but it sure is nice. Thanks for stopping by.

      It all depends on perspective my friend. You have to keep in mind that I came from the Watch 5 pro, so I went from a solid 4 days battery life down to 2, so it was a bit jarring at first. But after some time, I got used to it and it's not a big deal. I like this watch a lot, it has a nice screen. Looking forward getting the watch 7 ultra in July.

      Thanks for stopping by, and my apologies for the slow reply. I was able to actually fix the main issue with the heart rate monitoring. I had to do a full reset, and not restore from a backup. When I tried restoring from the initial backup it made, it still didn't work. It was so weird, it was applying the blood ox sensor tile for both the heart rate montitor and ox. It was one of the strangest things I've seen on a Samsung device in a long time. I was thinking I'd have to return it too, I was sweating it there for a minute.
      Thanks for stopping by, and I"m sorry you ended up with a defective one.

      Don't worry my friend, this watch is much nicer that what I make it seem out to be in this video. The battery life has improved some, and the heart rate tile issues stuff was an easy fix. I just had to do a factory reset while not restoring from a backup, then it started just fine.
