I love your ideas!! would be amazing is Blizz did this. I am a solo shuffle healer bouncing between 2000 and 2100 and sometimes it feels like im playing for no rewards. Could be amazing if there was a mount around other ratings and brackets as well or the customizations that you mentioned.
Addons create a feedback loop for all content. They make the game easier, so Blizzard makes it more difficult and adds more buttons to increase the skill cap, so addon makers make addons to trivialize those difficulty increases. Then a new player joins with no addons and gets trucked in m+ or PvP and wonders how they will ever compete, so they quit.

I love this man. I agree with everything here. I think the major issue currently is we don’t have enough casual players participating in PvP. I think this comes down to the reward system which you already covered. I know many players simple don’t PvP because they don’t like PvP and that’s it, but the rewards system is the major issue. We need blizzard to give casuals a REASON to actually participate in PvP. Right now the casuals can only get a crappy recolour of the raid set, which let’s be honest, isn’t all that exciting. Imagine the elite PvP sets were unique like they were back in WoD season 1! The next major issue is the skill cap issue. PvP is too daunting for newer players due to its complexity.
If you inflate by the same amount every week, it can get outweighed by midseason player population decrease. And you get a net neutral or negative rating outcome. A lot more people play early season it feels like.

Why would they need to if they can put no effort in and just add more versions of classic? With 0 effort? Why why they bother when they can add plunderstorm back. Why bother when they can add a new xpac promise the world and let everyone down like usual. They dont need to add put effort into the current version of the game to make bank.
Honestly i think they need remove addons in pvp, do regular class balance changed bi weekly not every 3 months. Make better rewards for pvp like you said those are some good ideas. They need to lower damage honestly. Just today ive decided to finally stop playing. I main mw monk and honestly i lost like 5-6 games today to my teammate getting instantly killed from 35-70% hp in 0.5-1.5 seconds, sometimes without even a cd being pressed. For example vs boomy/ele earthshock 1.5m 1.4m starsurge, plus dots he died from 60-0 in under 1 second. Its just not fun and theres no outplay. The pace of the game is just way to fast right now to enjoy healing. Ontop of a bunch of other issues.

I would say there is also very ugly winrate in arenas of warrior/ret pally to the frost mage/d. evokers and it is way too unfair to those classes as well (resto D main btw not rooting for warriors) I just dont think lot of matchups are done well.
IMO rewards were always my personal reasons why i ever played rated games. Obviously statistic strictly speaking, the issue at hand is queues not popping due to shortage of healers to dps ratio. i agree with ur take on rank rework. i come from moba games and i honestly prefer the bronze-master/obsidian type of rank. MMR/points is just too hard to 'balance'
Note you can also tell that with the changes from next patch that they are so out of touch with the community so many bad changes. Theyre making the game worse not better. Mw cast while moving? War gives his team immunity to cc? Rdruid form to be immune to cc and auto put out hots? Rng item sets? Like really? I love losing or winning based on rng not skill. Said no1 ever Like come on dude these are disgusting changes for the game..
I think that skill what is needed to play some classes in pvp (f.e warlock) to hit even to 1800 to get mog set is just crazy… It's worse than running a marathon with bare feet on a treadmill covered in lego. I wish that this pvp mog sets will be for won matches like a mount instead of hitting rating.
best solution would be removing like 40~60% of skill sets, who wants to play with 20 focus skill macro and still have another set of skill for main target, this game needs overall work out, not reward rennovation
I think its just done tbh. The pvp player base has hugely dwindled, even looking at the viewing figures of the AWC just shows that the actual interest in WoW pvp just isnt there anymore.
I love this video, i agree with everything, but im afraid many things can't/won't happen. For example... wow becoming free to play. Unless game is almost dead or straight dead like Diablo 4 , theres no chance on earth to become free to play. The game have super high maintenance cost and if it turns out 95% play for free and just 5 % by skins, mounts or whatever is in the shop the game will crash financially and no business on earth would pump money flow from other project to a bleeding one forever. I dont think they will ever risk it with wow, the cost of production , salaries, game developers / designers, server cost and so on is pretty high to gamble if ppl are going to support it by buying stuff or will play for free out of hate and watch their money bleed. As for the game, dedicated healing is stone age design, all classes should get rework and everything should be dps/support in pvp, imagine instant queues and 3dps vs 3 dps , fantastic, quick to join and finish games and let the team with the most awareness and better CD management win. This whole healing bs is what kills queues and even thou ppl say that fixing healer MMR and slightly more conquest per match WILL NOT fix anything , you will still have horrible queue 2-3 weeks into season. Its dumb design and has to go.
Make unrated pvp more appealing to new players and casuals. Too much focus on rated pvp is the wrong approach to grow the player base. The game is clearly too fast-paced & complicated.
Wow streamers and youtubers (yourself included) have some excellent takes on gameplay, player experience, class design, balancing, etc. but TERRIBLE opinions on anything that has to do with matchmaking, mmv/cr values, brackets, inflation, etc. Seriously... just stop. It's WAY too far above your paygrade to be trying to solve the math behind wow's backend systems. Every 'solution' that a streamer comes up with is a steaming pile of ignorance that makes the situation worse among the community who understands it even less.

Directionally, I can tell you that accurate matchmaking takes a shit ton of games to get right and that the playerbase is both unwilling to play that amount of games and at the same time wants better rewards for the games that they are playing- so you're going to have to pick a side. Accurate matchmaking or better rewards, but not both. Anyone claiming that matchmaking is some easy fix and that they can 'just do x' is talking out of their ass. 2:19 is a bad solution, through and through.

* add important addons in the game through EDIT MODE, no addons added outside blizzard default UI. will be better for new players, less errors.

2s should never have rewards. Shuff should reward the mount. 3s should not, as illegal win trading aside, you can buy it.
