Bill Paxton is one of my favorite actors I miss him he did such great characters. I would suggest watching him in Two Guns with Denzel Washington and Mark Walberg a very overlooked movie.
Hicks is type of guy you would like to have Platoon leader. Calm, good decision making and brave. Also, way he treated Ripley and Newt is just cherry on top.
At one point he was actually considered for the role of the Terminator, before it went to Arnold. But he finally got to be an android in a Cameron movie after all, and a much nicer one!

Prometheus, the prequel to Alien, is worth a look if you haven't already watched it. Ridley Scott returns to direct 30 years after his original film. Other sci-fi movies I love are Blade Runner, Robocop, Matrix, Tron. Horror, The Exorcist. Redford and Newman in The Sting is probably my top movie of all time. Very clever.
Ripley remarked to Jonesy (the cat) while still on Earth that "...and you, you son of a bitch, you're staying here). So Jonesy was never on this second ship. You'd enjoy Michael Biehn in TOMBSTONE (1993) Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliot, Powers, Michael Biehn, Boothe, Bill Paxton, et al. Michael Biehn's character, however, is not that of a good guy. It's a good western. Nice reaction, btw.
The later movies aren't as good as the first two. However, they are still Ellen Ripley movies and part of the lore. I personally do still enjoy watching them whenever they're on TV. And the Aliens vs Predator films are popcorn movies. They are not bad movies but ultimately just forgettable entertainment. Now, excuse me while I go look for that subscription bell thingy ... 😀
Sadly, Aliens was the highpoint of the Alien franchise. The proposed Alien 5 directed by Neill Blomkamp sounded great, but of course the studio canceled it. If you want a film that seems like it could be set in the same world as the original Alien, Sean Connery's 1981 sci-fi film "Outland" is a fun watch.
One of the best sequels ever made ! Maybe you can watch the new Hellraiser movie? Or Silent Hill. One of the few good videogame movies. Or my avatar > Dredd 😃

Nice reaction, enjoyed your terminator and rocky reactions too. Doubt your movie/film choices would be similar to mine. Hacksaw Ridge, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Tombstone. Though I do like the classics such as Casablanca (nice reaction on that one) but they don't get you as many viewers as the more modern stuff or especially the Marvel and Star Wars stuff - they're just not my cup of tea.
please, don't spoil the good memories and good feelings that these two movies gave you by watching the other movies after these, if you want just watch the 2004 movie "alien vs predator", which is not bad at all, the other movies either are garbage (in part or in whole), or simply ruin what was done with the first 2.

Terminator vs. Aliens: Both have James Cameron directing. In both the monster bursts naked into the scene. In both the monster is flung off of a vehicle by slamming on the brakes. In both a strong female lead and the same male actor flirt and work together to save the life of a child. In both, the female lead stretches to reach a button that controls a pressure differential to kill the monster. Just sayin'. NO. DO NOT watch the remainder of the Alien sequels up to and including Alien vs. Predator. They are bad.

My first introduction to Paxton was Titanic. He was lovely.

You do not want to continue with the sequels. They don't hold a candle to the first two.
Bill Paxton was the best at portraying an entertainingly obnoxious character. Only Jack Nicholson was in the same class.
