I cried like a sgm like so many that are torn between gospel and my soul. I understand more than I wish I did. I love you for this. Thank YOU!!!!

Say this on Gavin’s concert shown on PBS. He says this was inspired by a painting by Durer at the Met. It is a painting of Christ on the cross, but the face and hands are unfinished. The song is part of a commission he got from the Met to write a piece (songs) inspired by works at the Met. Talented composer/lyricist as well as singer/actor.

Gavin continues to grow as an artist with this original song. Perhaps he is expressing his inner soul searching, as both a gay man and a Christian, trying to make some sense of it in our world today? All that know him believe he has managed to do both with dignity, grace, and love.

This sounds a lot like Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds…

2:57 Hmm .. lyric is telling Jesus that he's done with God's rules but, if God will see him (aka his choices), then he'll walk with God. Unfortunately, that's not how God operates.
I pray that Christ has mercy on Gavin's broken soul. Jesus came TO SAVE the broken, heal the sinners, save ESPECIALLY the lost, with the immutable promise for an eternal afterlife without brokenness, without sin, no longer lost.
    RIP Gavin 👑✝️🔥

The "Christian" shows how unChristian he is.

You mention choices in your comment, but being gay is not a choice. it is who gavin was. You are the perfect example of why he chose to turn his back on religion. gavin’s life and love was not a sin he needs to repent for. He was a kind, talented, compassionate person and that should be what matters most to your God.
