You guys are awesome and doing amazing to show it to the world that our country is not just snow and winter its huge, beautiful yet so underrated. If Canadians look around we literally dont need to go to another country for a vacation. Its right here.
This seems to be such a nice place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job!
Thank you so much! We hope to do winter ones at some point. Well, I suppose it depends. In general, I'd say summer and fall are great. Summers are very hot and very busy with tourists though. Fall can still be busy but not as bad. Plus, weather is cooler and the beautiful fall colours are very popular in this area of Canada. The winter is much colder, of course, but it's also a beautiful time to visit if you're into it.
you are soo great together!! and I just love your videos! Ottawa is such a great place to visit. I was there onces and I hope to go back with my child-teen. Maybe you could do a "what to do in winter in..." I know you can buy a train pass and do the Corridor from Niagara to Quebec and points in between... that could be a cool trip! Thanks for your videos! Gracias desde México!
Aww, thanks so much. Glad you liked it. We're hoping we can do a winter episode at some point as well. Even though it's cold, the winter is such a beautiful time too. The train does sound great! Is that VIA Rail?
@@MustDoCanada yes I know it is a challange to be out in the minus weather and that place of Canada is very cold. Yes it is Via Rail . I will continue to see your videos!
Visit there in the summer about every year (from Raleigh, NC area). Last time I was visiting I got to shake hands with the Prime Minister so that was pretty cool. Ottawa is a great city. Not too big so a good mix of city and nature. Recent best cities of the world list had Raleigh #2 and Ottawa #13 so pretty close in quality of life.
More than enjoying watching the place .. I luv watching you both the most .. and the way u explain everything ... Is so fascinating... Luv u both ... I wish I could meet you both one day .. 😍😍
Very informative and well done ! Bravo ! I would say a boat ride from Ottawa River going up the locks and then on the Rideau Canal is also fun to have done it before ! 😉👍 ATB , Bonne semaine From Boisbriand Québec Hélène et Serge 💑 👍😉🎥🏔
Must Do Canada Yes it is and also you have to wait for your turn . When we arrive there to go up it was at the end of a week day and we were alone whit another big boat. It took us more than a hour but the feeling going up the locks is awesome. I had only a small 19 ´ fishing boat and we we heading to Smith Falls .We were camping in a tent at locks and took us three days to go and three day to come back , we had left from " Two Mountain Lake" . It was a adventure that we will never forget ! 😜
It was chosen because it was between Upper Canada (which is now ON) and Lower Canada (which is now QC). Chosen because it was farther away from the U.S. than Toronto, Kingston, London, or Montreal, and chosen by Queen Victoria.
@@MustDoCanada like near drumhellar, or east of red deer. I've only been to Alberta's big cities, but I've always wondered how the towns were in alberta.
@@skksksnsksmzknnn3696 Okay, we'll definitely try to plan some in the near future. We got a little bit of Drumheller in our main Alberta episode as well as our "drone over Drumheller" video, but that's about it so far.
Hmmm, I'd have to add it all up. Not that expensive though. All the museums are about $15 or less. Rafting is about $150. BiPlane flight is $70. Boat tour is $40. Nordik Spa is $40 for entry. and those delicious Mexican tostadas we had were only $13 for three!
Why did he say Ottawa is walking distance to Quebec and google says they're 267 miles away. If anyone can advise please! I have a flight planned to Ottawa and would love to visit Quebec. Thanks
It’s across the river, in Quebec. So no... but just the river separating us. Great for taxes if you live in one and work across the bridge in the other.....!!
I'm so sorry for Canada. Most things about a good Canada are not true, Including clean cities - beaches, and forests. It's a big lie. The first time I arrived in Vancouver in 2018, I was shocked. As soon as I left the airport door, I saw tissue, disposable glasses, and other garbage left in the city. The further I went, the more I saw them. Before I moved to Canada, I lived in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, The United States, and for a short time in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Netherland, Germany, and England, but I have never seen the amount of garbage that people leave in different Canadian cities. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec are no less than Vancouver. I'm so sorry for Canada. Canadian and Canadian Governments don't care about this tragedy. I think everything that says about Canada as a clean and powerful culture is not true. You don't need to travel to Canada to see this. Just watch some videos about walking in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. You will find the truth. Impossible for you to walk in a Canadian city and you don't see the dark side of that. Everywhere you will see garbage. You will never see this in Europe or the United States. This amount of waste is not even seen in Malaysian-Indonesian or Thailand cities. It is impossible for you to use public transport and not see a lot of garbage at stations or on the route. You will be surprised to find a lot of garbage even in the woods - by the rivers and on the beach. I wish the Canadians woke up and had no enmity with their country. I wish the respectable people of Canada would wake up
Lol, what are you smoking? This is not even close to the truth. Turkey is one of the dirtiest countries I've ever seen. I went surfing in Bali and was constantly swimming through plastic. The USA is the same thing. Engand, Germany, etc. We lived in Malaysia and went to school there. Again, garbage bags floating out at a sea. Disgusting. It's nowhere near that here. And Calgary, where we live, is literally ranked as the cleanest city in the world.
@@MustDoCanada I agree with you about Calgary but not other cities. A no-waste Canada is my dream because here is my second home, my friend. I wish fifty percent of Canada was like Calgary. Vancouver and Montreal are a disaster. Especially the downtown
What do you think? Anything you'd add to the "Best of Ottawa"?
Just remove everything and add Toronto. Also add me on Combat Arms my ign is Haroum
@DelightGal0re haha really? is that a party street?

I think you're referring to Quebec City. Quebec the province is walking distance but Quebec City would be a 3-hour drive. And half-way is Montreal :)

No mention of the war museum?

I have been living in Ottawa for the last 30 years and Ottawa has changed for better obviously but still too damn boring 🙄
Is this the typical English accent in Ottawa?
