Ed checking if Stede had a ring before taking his hand like you would a maiden’s to introduce himself was all fucking priceless 😂
The way the music transitions at 4:03 from Blackbeard’s theme to Ed and Stede’s theme is so subtle but so powerful. Ed picks up the fabric and immediately is interested in it, but through his feelings towards his silk handkerchief, we know that he feels he’s undeserving of such fine things and that his only means to access it is by theft. He may have even been thinking of stealing it in that moment. But Stede notices his interest immediately and not only accepts it, but rewards it by showing him an entire hidden room full of similar fabrics. And he did all that for Ed, not for Blackbeard. I think Stede is the first person in Ed’s life that freely gave him something beautiful without making him feel ashamed. These men are going to kill me.
