My different Types of Sketchbooks and why I used them the last 2 years

It was a long journey to find the right sketchbook. One that you like to pick up every day, that has the right format and paper on which you can both draw and paint. So here are my experiences and reasons why I prefer one to the other.

Thank you for the great review Martin. On your recommendation I ended up ordering the no brand sketchbooks and love them only they are more expensive here in Canada. But they are worth it. Beautiful paper, nice size, lots of pages to fill. And they take all sorts of different inks without bleeding through.

The takeaway is the opportunity to see more of your work. One thing I learned is that there are no books with grey or tan colors

Your wonderful sketches remind me of Italo Calvino's book "Invisible Cities" where Marco Polo tells the Khan about the cities he found along the way. I couls easily imagine your paintings to illustrate the cities Calvino describes. If you havent read it, I can highly recommend it. I am sure you will be inspired to make those imaginary cities come to life. Thanks for this sketchbook tour, I found your tips spot on.

Do you cut out pages that you don;t like very often, is it based on your expectation of your skill, and these are not good enough. Or something else. A rare occurrence or no big deal?
