    Wow, I really like your style! Your mix of precision and looseness has a wonderful balance to it. I admire that very much, and wish I could do something similar. I love the look of loose stuff when other people are doing it, and the results seem so magically perfect, but when I try to be loose myself it always feels so ugly-looking: P Ha ha. At any rate, what is the brand of the variety brush set you use at the end? Especially the brush with the flat tip! Those look fun and cool. Thank you for your work! I have subscribed: )

      Hi, very helpful and interesting feedback, thank you so much! Keep practicing and you will become better and better to achieve your goal! The brushes at the end of the video are in amazon: water brush set, this brand is called: umorismo, 9 brushes about 15 USD

      @@MartinLachmairArt Thank you for responding and for the encouragement! I will try to keep it up: ) I tried to find those brushes on Amazon, but they are not available in the US. I did find some flat-tipped ones that were similar and I am eager to try those. Thank you again!

    I use a dip pen. One with a crow quill nib and the other with a standard nib. I only buy vintage nibs. They used to be hand ground.
    I also use micron pens.

    I am fascinated that another artist is doing the thick black shadow I have stumbled upon this in my own drawings recently and struggled to find others to learn from. Your work is beautiful, I’m trying to work out what marks you do to make the textures on the trees and buildings are you able to do a really slow down textures video like this close up in this episode. And question please how do you keep the forms of the building and trees distinct in finding mine line drawing can merge into a line mass and it all gets a confusing mess.

    I've got that big Duke brush nib fountain pen. I always seem to get more ink all over me than I do on the page with it. Also, what was that pen case at the beginning?

    • @MartinLachmairArt
      @MartinLachmairArt  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The case is a travel cable organizer (amazon) 🖋️ To handle the duke pen can be challenging 😅🖋️

      Hi, sorry I don’t know the brand or name, but it’s a case for cable organising (if you search at amazon for this you will probably find a similar one)

    Very interesting video Martin. Which lead to a question. I'm mainly using micron waterproof ink pens with some faber castel ink brushes and am happy with them . But after seeing your videos I'm tempted to try dip pens . So , besides being able to have those ink splashes, what's their added artistic value according to your experience?

    • @MartinLachmairArt
      @MartinLachmairArt  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! 👍🖋️ Well, 35 years ago, my time at the vienna art school, we had no other quality ink-drawing-tools which give you such a variety of stroke thickness, a rich deep black linework and so on. So maybe it’s a reminiscence at these older days. But I think there’s much more which is hard to describe
