As a Gilgiti living in Islamabad, we travel to Gilgit by this road every year (atleast for the past 8 years) in our personal car. Delighted to mention that I love this route, besides the dangerous landscape there are amazing terrains, rivers, and landmarks you get to see. Which usually wipes out the fear inside you.
For the non mechanical types.... The vehicle that broke down with the rear axle issue on the Madagascar road wouldn't be going anywhere until the ring and pinion gears were replaced. Not the easiest thing to do on the side of the road as the gear clearance tolerances are very tight. It would be easier to replace the entire axle.
If your on a dangerous road, why would you have tassels, bells necklaces, and flowers on your windshield??! I don’t know how this man can even see out of his windshield correctly with all of his obstructions??! And what in the world is that on top of his truck??! 😂🤣
