Hi! I had a question about the front fenders at 16:13 the gray nine hole piece (not sure what to really call it) feels like it's too long to fit the fender pieces in without pushing it down, but in doing so, makes the pieces not line up, any advice?
Thank you for this awesome video, I only wished I followed it right through as we messed up on the red lever for the car to actually work!! Step 68, on 5:25, it shows you to push the red thing forward and down but we didn't know it had to be kept down and locked in. Yes your right, Step 37. Would I have to go back and disassemble the car to get the red part to sit down in place so that the car actually works as currently it doesn't move when you push it backwards?@@TopBrickBuilder
The front bumper bit at 14:20 - did you just rest it on that front section and build around it to secure it or do you slot it onto that black bit that’s pointing up? I’m stuck on my build and it doesn’t say it anywhere
You have to remove it if you want to put the Shelby cover as a display, but if you want to activate the Pull-Back function then you have to add it back 😉
Maybe I’m Mr. Picket but here are three things I found interesting. 1. The AR app is NOT available on Apple devices. 2. No seat belt stickers. They would help the looks inside the car. 3. On instruction panel #8 the part 6321747 is installed. It is not repeated on the other side of the car and has no real purpose. But all in all a nice model.

I had to use a 1x2 to keep the tail lights from continuing to fail like in your video. Then yours magically stay up once the center piece goes in. How did you do that?

Mine came with a missing part little grey thing so I got a replacement from Lego came in about 5 days or so and finally completed the build! Missed sticker 22 as there’s no need for it lol and I’m confused about the red stick that u pull out? What’s to do with it once I’ve completed the back bumper?

I bought this today and when making the first door, the connectors are one stud off on the back despite the instructions telling me to do it, I see this set as garbage like most of the others, weirdly enough they also do illegal moves in the instructions, this really did nothing but create more problems to the point where im considering returning this

On the back bumper the three pieces that sit on top of the grey exhaust tips,did you face the holes down to be flush with the exhaust tips? The book that came with the set has them facing up with a space between them. Is facing down better?

Firstly I am 82 years of age however have already built A Peugeot super car, a Mclaren, car a Fire fighting plane and a 42138 sports car. I am temped to by the new Mclaren P1 car which has over 3,000 pieces. I think you have already videoed building this model and there is also a Lego Builder video program. As this is an expensive product I would just appreciate you advice as to whether, with my previous experience and due to my age , whether you think I could cope whis build?.Gordon
Hi Gordon, yes, if we consider your experience with Peugeot, then you will handle the P1. The P1 is just bigger, but not so hard as it seems like. Unfortunately I haven't bought it yet, so I can't tell more details about P1, I have to buy it and to record the video for it... 😭

Nevermind, I figured out what I did, instead of putting the long piece between the other two, I put it on top, causing the issue

Yes, you have to slot into that black bit pointing up, and then build around it.

Yes it only works when I push it down and then pull it

I tried it that way a couple of times and it didn’t work that way, only the other way.

Are you sure? Have you doble checked that? If you don't find them then probably LEGO forgot to add them into your box

There are always some spare parts, but at that moment I didn't recorded what pieces left. In newer videos I am showing what pieces are extra.

10:50 usually the problem is with this part, see the right bottom pic to see the piece that should be installed the right way

You could slow down the Playback Speed in TH-cam settings, but sometimes you appreciate more the confection when it's builded by your hands 😁
