Nothing needs to be perfect. It's the best feeling doing something yourself and achieving it and making memories together while doing it is priceless. Keep up the great work. 👏
Big ups for rocking the Simone Giertz Truckla shirt. "Perfection is overrated." That is a huge lesson and learning it while you're still young is good.
I just finished redoing the buckets and rear bench seat in my 67 falcon futura sports coupe. I feel your pain. The zip tie trick you showed is awesome. Just wish I had known about it while wrestling the first bucket seat. Love your channel, been watching from the early early days.
Also, remember, these were far from perfect from the factory, so, yours probably looks easily as good as, if not better, than the original. Great work!
Perfection? You've achieved it! Your daughter-father communication and relationship ARE perfection! You two work together...perfectly. That's what I stop by to see.♥ If you please... I feel that your lovely bucket seat...and Carl himself...are simply little bonus gifts for you two. I hope you both enjoy reclining and relaxing and motoring with Carl for decades to come. Aloha!
Perfection is the enemy of good enough, a phrase often used to describe how people can get caught up in making things perfect and - as a result - never get anything done. You got the job done and it looks good, Carl will be happy...
Perfection and good enough are the Ying and Yang of the garage. The trick is to find balance. You found the first try wasn't "good enough" second time you found something just a little bit better. Aligning up on the bottom helped. The end product showed success just a little better than good enough. Balance! PS. I'm 69 and I got a 65 Futura "C" code last January. I "Blame" you.Hehehe! Hope to meet you at the Nationals someday.
Excellent work. One point I found with zip ties is to keep them slack while making adjustments. Once everything is good then pull them tight. The list wires fall into the slots and you can get a really good contour.
Looks great. This is a sort of nonconventional but unique build I have to say, this is a restomod but with a completely stock power train and not even a V8 lol and I think I like it
Ya gotta slap slap slap the seats into shape lol. They look really Good! My mom used to skin and build seats on the focus and navigator line at the chesterfield trim plant! Keep it up Carl's getting suited up lol
Warenmann is EXACTLY RIGHT!!! That is why mine has been sitting in the garage in a million pieces for 10 years. Please keep doing it the way your are doing it. Your enjoying your car and I've lost interest in mine.👍❤🙏
But why you did you want to take out front bench seat what if you meet a boy that likes you and you let home drive your car and you can cuddle up next to him when he's driving your car

Like it! Best lesson: Perfection is not necessary in most cases.

Carl, I'm sure, doesn't mind!
It makes you wonder how they made millions of these? There must be a trick to this kind of work - or it just takes experience!
