- How could I miss the most famous hike in Kyrgyzstan? Ala Kul is one of the most famous destinations in the Issik-Kul region, so I started a 3 days journey in Karakol National Park trying to reach this incredible lake located at 3500 metres above sea level.
Incredibly hard, incredibly beautiful, incredibly rewarding.
This country is a never ending box of surprises

Who did you book the hike with and how much was it
I did it alone! I only booked in advance the first night stay and you can do it from ‘meeting point’ , in case it’s busy might be good to have that one sorted out since it’s a small camp! For Altyn is east, many guesthouses so no need to prebook 😊
Man i feel jealous. I never went there even though i lived there significant part of my life. Hopefully next year I’ll be back home and will fulfil that gap
Take advantage to enjoy the mountains, it is incredible how much nature you can find in Kyrgyzstan, I'm having the time of my life 🙏

Stacks were already done I just added a tiny one; within hiking routes guides many times pum them in certain places so people find their way through the mountain! Mostly are the locals around making it easy to us noobies🥲😂🗻

How did you booked the tents up there?
Did it by myself! Go to a bar called meeting point and they book the first camping from the reception, second day has a lot of Accomodation, yo won’t need to book in advance :)

Hey! We will be there this week. Which tour did you join?
No tours! They are very expensive and it's very easy to organise by yourself! If you go to Duet Hostel, they easily make the reservations for you in the yurts and they help you out organising it; with tour it goes over a 100 euro, by yourself with literally the same is half :)
