This will probably be the longest Vesperia Exhibition you will EVER see. Wow, and this is the longest single video I have ever had the pleasure/pain of making.
If you are insane enough to watch all 50 minutes, there's a special little bonus ending for you :P
And yes, I actually like BOTH the Japanese and English voices. However, Estelle's JPN Voice holds a special place in my heart. I'm a Mai Nakahara fanboy. lol
These were recorded with the PS3 Version of the Game. The English voices are NOT in game. Those were video edited in. They were extracted by me via VGMToolbox from the Xbox360 versions of the Japanese and English Discs.
No, it wouldn't have been easier to just record the Xbox360 Mystic Artes simply because I DON'T OWN an Xbox360. Because of this fact, if there are any mistakes on the English voices, I apologize. However, I tried matching them up to the artes as best I could.

Y'know what's the worst part about Yuri's?They clearly use the first part of his second Mystic Arte and then decided to not use it
That'd probably be admitting they cut content from the original release, whereas their official stance is that they hadn't made those artes yet when the 360 version came out. I'm also very salty about this
@@elago98 That's definitely not the case, because they did use the unused voice lines wherever possible (Rita's Indignation, and Estelle's call of Ultimate Elements, for example). The reason they redubbed so much is because they either didn't have an old voice clip (in the vast majority of cases), or because the original Japanese lines were changed in the PS3 version, so the unused 360 clips were no longer accurate (in the case of Yuri's 2nd mystic arte and Ultimate Elements' incantation).
You can see in this very video at 3:33, if you compare what's being said in the PS3 and 360 audio clips. You don't have to be able to understand Japanese to hear that the only thing identical between the two versions is what Yuri says during the initial flash, which also happens to be the only part in Definitive Edition where they used the original Troy Baker line.
@@Juihau I think for Yuri's second MA specifically, they shouldn't have even changed the line. Brilliant Phoenix is a much more epic name imo, plus it's delivered SO well by Troy Baker, as literally everything he does is.
@@darknessdevours5827 Yeah, I agree that the name and delivery are a lot better. But I think from an objective standpoint, the name and lines were changed in Japanese, so they should be changed in English as well. So I get why they did it.
Just pumping this up for the definitive edition. CAN'T wait to see the new dubs for MAs and Patty.
Angie Y I actually wonder who they are gonna get to voice Patty. Also I remember reading somewhere that the definitive edition is gonna have the dlc from the ps3 version which makes me wonder how they are gonna handle Karol's Keroro costume.

As for the voices, didn't Troy Baker (voice of Yuri) said in an interview that the extra dialogue were more or less done?
even if it was more or less done there' still lots of things to record + patty is completely new audio which will be clear the recording difference if they just slap a new record with the older
Tales of Vesperia was the game i played the most at the time it was release, i have like 360 hours (the second game i did play the most in my entire life was Persona 5, first playthrough of the game and i was at 220 hours at the end of the game).
I'm sooooo ready to play Tales of Vesperia in PS3, so many new things to do in this one compared to the 360 version of the game (and we will have if i'm not wrong about this the dual audio option for this game, for me this is really good to have, i love the English voice for this game but to do another playthrough of the game with the Japanese voice is good as well).
Even if it were mostly done before there's still new stuff like Yuri's 2nd mystic arte being called "Heavenly Bladewing" instead of "Brilliant Phoenix" now and Estelle's 2nd mystic arte "Ultimate Elements" being called "Ultima Elementia" in Tales of Zestiria, so stuff like that may be affected and now have to be redone

I know right? Troy's voice delivery (putting the fact that he's the only Yuri in our hearts aside) is FAR greater than Grant's. His just falls so flat and has absolutely zero energy behind it. Even if Grant was Yuri's voice actor all along, Troy's delivery is so much better.
I'm start to hate Bamco for that and more...

I'm sorry, but Rita's English Indignation is probably the greatest spoken line(s) ever for an attack. I just love how much feeling and umph is put into it. It gives me goosebumps just listening to it. That, and Ancient Catastrophe.

@Hisakatos "Brilliant Phoenix", "Ultimate Elements", and "Indignation" were already on the Xbox360 disc. 3 PS3 exclusive Mystic Artes respectively: "Tenshou Kouyokuken" being "Ho'ou Kouyokuken" at the time. Each has different requirements to be able to use on the PS3. Check "Aselia" the Tales Wiki, for more info.
Is it just me or does Shizel's' English voice for ToV sound like Rita Repulsa?
Anyway, this was nicely done! The editing flowed well and I loved all the little extras you put in. Such as the original Dhaos Japanese voice and, of course, "What the HECK is that!?" Thumbs Up.
Yuri and Flynn's hair color being changed like that made me think I was going crazy for a sec there. It's amazing how much a simple color change can make them look so much more like Luke and Asch then they already did.
This reminds me of how great this game was. I just finished my first playthrough on xbox360 version when I heard a "full" version was on ps3. Been waiting on a translation patch ever since. I am so glad that the patch is nearing completion.

@Kaldaryn It's in the description. That link to the namco forums. However, it does NOT have any of the PS3 Japanese exclusive moves, with the exception of the unused Xbox360 lines.

@duckdavis You're forgetting about the script. There were A LOT of non-voiced scenes in the Xbox360 version, while ALL of the PS3's main scenario is voiced. Same with many PS3 exclusive skits.
There's a third form in the Xbox360 version as well. You have to get all the Fell Arms.
@iEviLxHD I wanted to do something with it, but I only found out about it while this thing was rendering. Didn't want to move all of those English voice clips over. Would have been really difficult and didn't think it was worth it.

1. I unlocked all the costumes you can in game.
2. Downloaded a few DLC costumes from the Japanese PSN
3. I didn't. The English voices were all video edited in.

Man, this one of the best Exhibition of Tales of Vesperia. That's why I love this game so much and it's nothing compare to the American version.
@AriArk2000 Considering it has the Japanese voices built in to the recording, no. If you wanted the one I used for English, the one with just sound effects, sure, but that has Yuri in the Hawaiian shirt costume.

@MrInsanity25 Just like when Rita annihilates my party with Ancient Catastrophe and Indignation? In the PS3 version, in the final round of the Team Battle in the Arena, you get to fight the 5 party members you didn't include in your party.
@zuser Well most animals are voiced by humans like frank welker, bill farmer, and koichi yamadera etc also the tales of series always use voice actors to voice there animals another reason is because Yuri said Repede is a human at heart having a voice actor makes recording easier for the cast because he can keep up with the lines and makes it sound better than having random animal sounds
