I remember when my fathers friend gave us his ps2 and it came with battlefront 2 and other games, I didn’t really want to play star wars bc I didn’t really know anything about it, so one day I was like,”let me just give it a shot”, now I’m the geekiest star wars person ever…
I remember I only first watched Star Wars when I was 15-16, which is strange, as I had always heard about it! The old and new trilogy were amazing, but that’s all I watched
Looks like Battlefront classic is back on the menu boys!

I can’t wait to play the classic collection I’m 30 years old and battlefront 1 & 2 are core childhood memories. We didn’t really have internet during the heyday of these games so I never got the online experience I only ever played against the bots. So excited I get a chance to experience real mp in battlefront finally after all these years! So hype!
I also played BF1 as a kid with my friend on my PS2 split-screen, but never had the chance to play online, but now I can! I’m 26 :D
0:05 and i mean just look at it. The modern games just cant give the feeling of a real chaotic war.
While the old games had everything. Ground troops, rockets, jet troops, droids, droidika, ground vehicles, speeders, air vehicles, monsters, traps, jedis, sith and so much more.
Alone the sound and the chaotic shooting and vehicles crashing into each other.
this game was the absolute best. Part 1 and 2 on Playstation 2 in splitscreen with my best friend was the best thing ever when we were like 11-12 years old.
It’s hard to even tell what’s happening half the time, but that’s what war is…

I cannot express the amount of excitement I have for the classic collection release on the 15th. Watching videos of people playing bf1 and bf2 is only increasing my excitement! My childhood is being re-released!

The classic collection comes out next month. This is the original SWBF2.
What I meant in the title was this is the classic version, and not the newer one released in the last few years

Wow. The Imperials were good. There was that sniper up in the rafters who was just knocking people down. Were they a team or something? They were killers!
As far as I read in the game chat, a lot of the people who continue to play this game are grizzled veterans who played for many years, and I, as a new player, just can’t keep up!

…you really haven’t played this game before now, have ya? Here’s some tips…
- don’t just rapid fire your rifle all the time. After you’ve fried 5 or 6 shots, the accuracy starts to go down significantly. Continuously firing is only really useful in corridors where accuracy doesn’t matter as much.
-rocket launchers aren’t really meant for use against infantry. You can use them like that, don’t get me wrong, but unless you’re shooting at very close range, they will usually miss. The explosion also isn’t that big, so it’s best to save them for vehicles. Use your pistol against infantry.
-speaking of the pistol, don’t overlook it. Its actually got higher damage on headshots than your main rifle, and better accuracy to boot. Often this makes it a better weapon for longer range engagements, while the rifle shines against multiple enemies at mid ranges.
-ok… you clearly don’t know how the spy works. The spy’s main weapon is a melee weapon that will shred enemies health. It functions similarly to the flamethrowers heroes like boba and jango fett have, but has higher damage without the burning effect. His second weapon isn’t a “weapon” per say, but rather invisibility. Activating it will turn you invisible and drain your stamina slowly over time. The effect will be broken if you touch anything or when you switch back to your main weapon, use your secondary weapons, or get shot. So use it to get close to an enemy and then pull out your main incinerator weapon to delete whatever is in front of you. Another tactic is to use the time bombs the spy gets to set them on enemy vehicles. They do the most damage of any infantry weapon in the game, and also have a rather large blast zone.
Take it from someone who played this game for countless hours and unlocked all the prestige weapons growing up. There’s a lot more strategy involved in this game than just mindlessly shooting whatever moves, each class has a purpose they excel at, and once you learn the differences between the classes and how they differ between factions, that’s when you’ll start to excel at the game. Until then, just remember to “watch those wrist rockets!”
I never played this before actually! I played Battlefront 1 on the PS2 when I was a kid, but that was 20 something years ago.
Thank you for the tips, especially for the accuracy of rifles and the pistols. In most games, the pistols are useless but here I guess they’re useful!
