Yeah, Dick was very special, but back in those days there was a higher bar for talk show hosts. Mike Douglas was no dummy, either. This was decades before Maury Povich and Jerry Springer and, yes, Oprah. David Frost was another great host and interviewer. Not only were those cats highly intelligent, unlike today's cretins, but they were also very funny, which makes perfect sense, since it requires a great deal of intelligence (and timing) to do comedy.

The mother's suicide at a young age created an incredible trauma in the children, if they did not receive enough attention from the father, their struggles for the family are not in vain, the two children are living a difficult life, I did not know that Jane Fonda was on the side of Vietnam, my love for her increased because America wasn't supposed to be there. confirmed this in history

Peter Fonda was my favorite actor. I used to work at a movie theater in Boston 1996-97, where all the young employees were obsessed with the 70s. They would go nuts when we cleaned after Boogie Nights because of the ELO song at the end. I told them that the best part of the 70s was seeing Peter Fonda movies at the local drive-in. I kept telling them that the Oscars were a joke as long as Peter Fonda doesn't get a nomination. Then he was nominated for Ulee's Gold (Which he should have won btw) and they gave it to Jack Nicholson for As Good As It Gets, in which he played the same character that he always played a thousand times before while Peter Fonda did something that I thought he would never do, he became his father. The rebellious son played a role that would have been offered to his father if he had been still alive.

The speech she said about people not listening to actors when they have something to say, was the weakest part of her appearance, on the same show the soft spoken Indian .... native leader was quite a contrast and worth listening to what she was saying. They are listening now in Canada 50years later much more are in the US i think.
