Love to hear this man Kevin Nash speak! When he speaks, shut the fuck up and listen to the man. He's a legend and has a wealth of knowledge about the business. Thanks for always giving back Kevin. You're a true ICON
I really love these RF videos. Especially these types where you REALLY get to see what goes into making a match happen. I thought Kevin's advice was sound and he's an absolutely brilliant guy when it comes to this business. And i could seriously see him in a trainer role in some form or fashion. Just because his "best days" are behind him in the ring doesn't mean he can't contribute his knowledge to "green" talents. Physically he's probably in the best shape of his entire career in my opinion.
4:43-5:03 Goldust said the same thing in his "in the ring with" video. Goldust said shawn michaels told him to not move till 6. Nash said don't move till 9. Which one is more effective?
I have this DVD and Kevin comes across very well. He knows he isn't a talented wrestler (at one point he says that everyone in this room knows he has five moves) but he knows psychology very well and he has some brilliant stories. He also offers to give Triple H a tape of Sami Callihans work, Sami is now in developmental NXT
What are you talking about? I've seen him on two separate videos say that Nash helped ruin the business. I'm not saying he's right or wrong - Love me some Cornette, Love me some Nash, but the clips are out there.
So wait, writers can't be successful writing about things they've never experienced? Guess I should start looking into a different profession then. Thanks Kevin Nash for such brilliant enlightenment. Big fan of your ever-so reality based writing!
That "do something that leads to a double knockout and don't move till 9" was also at the "In the Ring with Goldust" episode...funny thing is, that Goldust credited Shawn Michaels for it and Nash doesn't do it.
boy, would i kill just to have the territory days back. we all knew it was fake but it was fun, but now they have showed us everything they do and we even know who's going to win the main event even before the guys have stepped into the ring is just nuts.everyone knew batista was going to win the royal rumble a couple of months before. what's the fun in that?
Hogan and Warrior barley had six moves. Austin had about 3 when his neck was hurt yet he drew more than anyone. How much money did Dean Malenko draw btw?
You're failing to consider the type of audiences he wrestles in front of. They expect a certain style, they pay to see a certain style and he gives them that. Believe me, he gets psychology.
Thank you! Nash haters, quad-jokers, answer me this: Tyson Kidd, great 'wrestler'. Nash, not. But if they're face to face in any situation, in this case we'll say in the ring-- who the fuck is your money on? What do you believe more? Kidd's arsenal, or Nash's standard elbows in the corner, big boot and powerbomb? Case closed. Even though we're all jaded by the internet, it IS about suspension of disbelief. Nash gets it, he gets psychology, and he knows HOW to work, regardless of WHAT he's doing
Nash jokes about his move set and says that he's not a chain-wrestler in this video. Cornette's beef has to do with Nash as a businessman. If Nash was strictly a teacher, and this video makes me think that that's probably not a bad idea, I doubt anyone would have a bad thing to say about him. He obviously has a very easy time connecting with people when he isn't paranoid about losing his spot. BTW Nash's backstage antics are not in debate, so fanboys shouldn't bother replying to me.
Guy who's done competitive and professional sports his whole life gets an injury, neckbeards on social media who can't see their own dick turn it into a meme.
I've heard Cornette go after Nash's business smarts and in ring ability. When Cornette called Kevin Nash 6 moves he wasn't saying Kevin was a great worker. Since when is Booking not apart of the Business side of Wrestling? In your first reply you say Cornette never said Nash has no business smarts, then you say Cornette means he helped ruin the Business... well, pick one. Seems like you are having trouble with which side you agree. Point was JC killed him on both counts.Clps still out there
The guy who fucks his shin up will put on a better show. People would want to see Guy 2. break his shin more than they'd want to see Guy 1. just simply win the fight.
Internet s-marks will rule the world, when all real men have turned into marks! Why can a 55-year old come back to the Rumble and get the 2nd biggest crowd reaction, behind Punk at the start? Because he can! He is real, not a phony who starts some long streak of breaking 2-counts. His comments about WWE being so scripted its annoying is right. This may be a "work", but its a work of art!
You absolutely ignored my comment. The fans wanted to see Goldberg/Hogan because back then the more mark-ish fans thought "Hey I bet the undefeated guy can beat that jerk Hollywood!", and in the 90s, anyone who beat Hulk Hogan while undefeated, given the push Bill was would have been a star. Oh, and big deal! Anyone can have a good match with Regal! How long was it? Show me ONE good Goldberg match that lasted 20+. Goldberg = green, reckless mark who bought into his own hype way too much.
I know people don't really seem to understand this: ITS FAKE. It doesn't matter if you can do flips off the top rope or your a submission master or anything like that, you may prefer to see things like that, but it has almost nothing to do with whether or not your a good proffesional wrestler or not. What matters is if people give a shit that you even exist... Something that people like "the miz" and "kofi kingston" haven't quite figured out yet. But they have time.
ty for saying that. all these moves were both guys do 4 flips of the top rope....if u have never seen either guy b4 u don't whp was doing the move and who the move was going to hurt until one guy stands up with his arms up the ecw fan wanna be's (the real ecw fans are great) mark out for the guy. BIG MEN DON'T DO FLIPS OF THE TOP ROPE!!! i know big and taker have but they didn't do it every match. the did it once in a blue moon.
seeing these comments here sheds light on how pathetic and sad "wrestling fans" really are. Why is he there? because he's a professional wrestling legend... that probably has a little to do with it. these people are sitting there listening to him because they want the opportunity to be even a fraction of where he was in their career. Maybe they want to get payed in the MILLIONS 2 someday. They respect the fact that he has 20 years of experience being at the top.
Sid was better in the ring like you said but Kevin Nash was better on the mic, and good mic guys will often get better chances than the good wrestlers. Just look at Tyson Kidd (If you still watch wrestling). Kidd is amazing in the ring but gets no real chances.
Goldberg was handed that opportunity within a year of being in the business. He paid zero dues. That doesn't make him better than Nash. And trust me, if anyone with a reasonable look was given Goldberg's push, they'd have been a superstar. The Rock has probably lost more than he's won, but no one would ever call Goldberg a bigger star. Because Goldberg sucks. Nash > Greenberg.
I'm trying not to pass judgment because I've seen so little of him, but he looks REALLY bad in this video. First of all, wtf was that stupid rope-flip splash move he did? The one where he yells for 5 seconds beforehand... And more than that, the dude just has zero psychology from what I've seen.
Love to hear this man Kevin Nash speak! When he speaks, shut the fuck up and listen to the man. He's a legend and has a wealth of knowledge about the business. Thanks for always giving back Kevin. You're a true ICON
2:08-2:33 its' crazy that 7 years later this STILL is an issue SMFH
I LOVE KEVIN NASH !!!!
That's good to hear. Two of the funniest dudes around.
Yo pick this up! this def was one of the best seminars I've been too.. Nash was freakin awesome! learned a lot laughed a lot
looks like a excellent behind the scenes video. i must buy this.
this is pretty great to see nash training people
I really love these RF videos. Especially these types where you REALLY get to see what goes into making a match happen. was that kevin nash in a CZW ring? JEEZUS
Very cool. Nash giving pointers to Sami and the Deej!
so good
2:20-2:31 hit the nail on the head with that comment
Sammy Callahan in attendance. Awesome.
02:28 holy shit, i have to use that sometime in the future!
when nash was talking about hogan and the giant he tore his quad
Oh I see. Just getting a head start. gotcha! :)
Thanks. Wolfpack in the house \m/
Kevin Nash and Sami Callihan in the same room together. That's a trip, man.
Nash is still the man
Hey it's Sami Callihan
ive watched all the in the ring videos just wondering if/when ull put up more
a wrestling genius
I've heard Nash and Hall tell that story about Hogan's super-slow turn to The Giant. Anyone know what match that was?
i gotta get this
i couldnt have said it better myself
he loves that shirt
the laste submision move looks good :D
If someone has this DVD, can someone PLEASE explain to me what Kevin is referring to at 3:47-4:08??? I'm SO lost :(
What are you talking about? I've seen him on two separate videos say that Nash helped ruin the business. I'm not saying he's right or wrong - Love me some Cornette, Love me some Nash, but the clips are out there.
Nash deserves more respect in this industry
He's a 2 time WWE Hall of famer and has a very loyal legion of fans, he's being respected a lot.
I'm assuming.
Sami callahan is a pro and hes still trying to learn everything. Give him a chance wwe.
***** and now he's arrived hahaha
+CarlM96 and now he's gone
@frank bonini and now he is going to challenge Brian cage for the impact world champion
give nash credit for taking time out to do this, wouldnt expect hogan or flair to teach a bunch of greenhorns how to work a match
how long does this dvd run?
Isn't Cornette the guy that called him 6 move? "And that's with the Hair flip"
Who are you talking to??
So wait, writers can't be successful writing about things they've never experienced? Guess I should start looking into a different profession then. Thanks Kevin Nash for such brilliant enlightenment. Big fan of your ever-so reality based writing!
5:17
WTF is Eric Simms doing there?
That "do something that leads to a double knockout and don't move till 9" was also at the "In the Ring with Goldust" episode...funny thing is, that Goldust credited Shawn Michaels for it and Nash doesn't do it.
Ever considered the possibility Nash told Shawn.
me too :)
Well it got over... Especially during the Rumble listen to the pop....
This video must blow Jim Cornette's mind.
Sami callihan
boy, would i kill just to have the territory days back. we all knew it was fake but it was fun, but now they have showed us everything they do and we even know who's going to win the main event even before the guys have stepped into the ring is just nuts.everyone knew batista was going to win the royal rumble a couple of months before. what's the fun in that?
nash is cool
The plauges of people who populate TH-cam who think they understand the business but don't.
grizzly redwood?
giant redwood! yes :P
Say what u want about nash, but a very clever man.
Kevin Nash tore his quad this morning. No seriously. Really.
Why do you assume I am a Dean Malenko fan? I don't have beef with Nash. I was just quoting Jim Cornette.
he lookd like sheamus in 30 years
Jack Bonza!
Hogan and Warrior barley had six moves. Austin had about 3 when his neck was hurt yet he drew more than anyone. How much money did Dean Malenko draw btw?
The guy asking question at 2:56 - Is it just me or does he look like C.M. Punk with a Daniel Bryan beard?
Super Shredder!
He must've drank ALL of it!
next Wrestlemania main event Kevin Nash vs. Batista in a first quad match with special ref
referee Iron Mike Sharp
Kevin Nash is teaching these CZW rascals how to work? COMEDY!
You're failing to consider the type of audiences he wrestles in front of. They expect a certain style, they pay to see a certain style and he gives them that. Believe me, he gets psychology.
lol I think people hate Nash because he is honest... I dont always agree with him but at the end of the day he made money
Nash knows how to get injured and make a fool of himself.
Thank you! Nash haters, quad-jokers, answer me this: Tyson Kidd, great 'wrestler'. Nash, not. No it wasnt, it was in WCW against The Giant not Andre the Giant!
Nash jokes about his move set and says that he's not a chain-wrestler in this video.
Cornette's beef has to do with Nash as a businessman.

BTW Nash's backstage antics are not in debate, so fanboys shouldn't bother replying to me.
And Sami Callihan
the only thing Nash should teach is how to get those big contracts
wrestlemania 1988
Am i the only one who notices grizzly redwood??
grizzley redwood!
What's the ring psychology involved in tearing your quad, Nash?
Guy who's done competitive and professional sports his whole life gets an injury, neckbeards on social media who can't see their own dick turn it into a meme.
do you ever get slim? the answer is noooo.
I've heard Cornette go after Nash's business smarts and in ring ability. When Cornette called Kevin Nash 6 moves he wasn't saying Kevin was a great worker.

How does this guy still have a job?
The guy who fucks his shin up will put on a better show. People would want to see Guy 2. break his shin more than they'd want to see Guy 1. just simply win the fight.
Maybe he's Kevin's agent.
Internet s-marks will rule the world, when all real men have turned into marks!

Why ? Philosophically their opinions are quite similar - and you dont need athleicism to have psychology
I know people don't really seem to understand this: ITS FAKE. It doesn't matter if you can do flips off the top rope or your a submission master or anything like that, you may prefer to see things like that, but it has almost nothing to do with whether or not your a good proffesional wrestler or not. haha thats was funny
Cornette never said Nash had no business smarts, he just said he was lazy.
"Psychology wise it has to make sense" ? - Coming from the guy who was a part of the Fingerpoke of Doom
+nightcat23 How does the Fingerpoke of Doom not make sense? The point was they were in on it together, he didn't actually sell being poked.
ty for saying that. all these moves were both guys do 4 flips of the top rope....if u have never seen either guy b4 u don't whp was doing the move and who the move was going to hurt until one guy stands up with his arms up the ecw fan wanna be's (the real ecw fans are great) mark out for the guy. BIG MEN DON'T DO FLIPS OF THE TOP ROPE!!! i know big and taker have but they didn't do it every match. the did it once in a blue moon.

Nash is blown up sitting on the chair
Goldberg was handed that opportunity within a year of being in the business. He paid zero dues. That doesn't make him better than Nash. And trust me, if anyone with a reasonable look was given Goldberg's push, they'd have been a superstar. The Rock has probably lost more than he's won, but no one would ever call Goldberg a bigger star. Because Goldberg sucks.
Nash > Greenberg.
It only took Goldberg a couple of months to become the man. It took Nash 5 years to do it.
The CZW ring is the only good thing about this video
You could do 1 move its irrelevant.. Its about the money...
No he didn't. By the time Goldberg was the man in WCW, about half the fans pay to see him and other half got in for free.
Agreed, but they're funny when they're just jokes, and not insults on the internet from marks with no life, angrily trying to belittle Nash.
Goldberg drew more than Nash.
He has had more injuries than i ever will. And i know more wrestling moves than he does.
I can pass a physical. Nash can't.
Sami is so corny, he'll never make it to the big leagues. All of those indy wrestlers look like permanent enhancement talent.
what's nash doing in that trash CZW ring... he's better than that garbage promotion...
I'm trying not to pass judgment because I've seen so little of him, but he looks REALLY bad in this video. First of all, wtf was that stupid rope-flip splash move he did? The one where he yells for 5 seconds beforehand... And more than that, the dude just has zero psychology from what I've seen.
