    That was wonderful video, showing us, what your process is when you get material from a site. And that site has a lot of good material! I'm glad you got to stop there! And thank God for your optical microscope! And image stacking so you could show us in wonderful detail that miniscule zeolite! That was a really cool find! There are just so many crazy tiny zeolites, and I know you already have many of them! At least the ones that can be found in the PNW. The world zeolites just boggles the mind! Thanks Jared for sharing your wonderful new find and another rare zeolite added to the collection! ❤🎉😮

    I've never been a fan of intense heat, so I believe you when you say that you didn't really want to do too much at that location. I'm glad you at least got some specimens to work on further though...it's more than I would've done, that's for sure!!! Lol

      It would like standing in front of a wood stove out there.

    So nice...without ways to see those super small zeolites. Would be impossible to identify. Thank you. I have minerals I've collected that warrant deeper inspection.

    Great job with the focus stacking. The depth of field must be crazy shallow lol

    With my eyesight I would miss such tiny structures.

    Live and learn and make the best with what you have. You accomplished all that and produced a video that works. Your lifting platform looks hugely beneficial.
    BTW, what stacking software are you using?

    • @CurrentlyRockhounding
      @CurrentlyRockhounding  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The software is called Zerene Stacker.

    This video is great! Thanks for sharing! Any tips on creating labels for minerals? Did you just make templates yourself or did you find examples somewhere? I've been stuck in analysis paralysis trying to decide how to label my specimens.

      I make mine in a Word document and laser print them on card stock.
      I go with name, location, provenance, collection name and number to match a spreadsheet.

    Yep. Or when you hit a new location, the material is abundant, so you decide to take only a few bits and come back... And when you do, there is not a sniff of anything worth collecting... or there land is now private... or the section of the coast has collapsed 😆
