Thank-you. I have the Nikkor 24mm f2.8 D that I bought for my F90. I will put it on my D7100 to give me a ~35mm focal length. I was blown away by Gary Knight (VII Agency) and he likes a 35mm lens.
Hi Jules !! Thanks for this Video ,,, Memories,, The end of 1969 I started at a hometown newspaper shooting a Nikon F with a Nikkor 50mm ... In early 1970 I had bought a second Nikon F and a Nikkor 24mm lens (which never left that camera) soon after a Nikkor 105mm replaced the 50mm (50mm was put on a shelf and is still there) (That was the end of My Gas for almost a decade) These two cameras were with Me when I went to My new home the largest newspaper in Phx., Az. !!!!!! I enjoy using this on my Fuji XT2, just picked up a converted copy to use on my D750 as the Fuji is a crop sensor. Love the simplicity, you can do plenty of shooting without the need for the bulk of autofocus. I have many Pre Ai lenses, also love the old Canon LTM lenses. Thanks for making this video!
@@tomallen6073 I like using manual focus wide angle lenses for street photography because they have something auto focus do not. Focus scales and depth of field indications. Not need to focus, just point and shoot. I love the old Canon lenses as well. Thanks for watching.
Since 1973, I have been experienced with the 2.8/24 Nikkor-N.C, #429.230; later also the first version, #281.733, and up to now #571.999 in AI-version. As you say, it's a very fine st.ph.lens because of wide depth of field so you can easily & unnoticeably shoot from the hip. It's one oft my most widely used everyday lenses because of its flexible application mounted on analogue and digital Nikon SLRs as well. For me, the latter is half format, so the viewing angle is comparable to a 35mm full format lens, and there is a shift to other priorities but still useful.
Great video -- I have the AI version of this lens. I'm not sure if my coatings are exactly the same as yours, but the optics certainly are and I love shooting with it. And if you happen to own a vintage Nikkor 85mm f/2 or 20mm f/2.8 -- another two lenses I own and really like -- I'd love to see a review on either of those!

@@myblueandme I had the 20 F4, and wasn’t that crazy about it. The shade for it doesn’t really give that much protection from flare.
