NEW ESU Hifi Class 31 DCC Sound

This is possibly the best yet from the current batch of British ESU sound files, the new Hifi class 31! It sounds amazing, I'll be using this loco a lot now!
The whole range of hifi sound decoders will be added to the website as they appear, for little more than the cost of a blank sound decoder!

Hi Richard, that sounds fantastic! What speaker do you have fitted to it?

Its an EM2, which only really fits in the old 21 pin models with a smaller PCB, and still needs a bit of milling, an EM1 should fit easier if you take the fan out, and sound similar

Have to say up to hearing this felt a bit sceptical about DCC sound and how realistic it is. But this is the best I’ve heard yet. What is the specification of the set up you have? Assume it’s a ESU Loksound 5, but what speaker etc.

Hi, yeah it’s a loksound 5 this one has been modified inside to take an EM2 speaker, which is cheating a bit because most people won’t do that! Buy most people could make an EM1 fit which is a similar sound but a bit smaller

It's about time Esu put out more british loco sound files, there are a great deal of Esu Ecos owners in the UK, more sound options for us, i wish the loksound decoders were a bit cheaper.
