That's honestly my favorite "Robin Hood" movie. The use of the party noise maker for a snake tongue was absolutely inspired & the whole group looks amazing. 😂
I'm partial to Men in Tights, but I do love it! And omg I'm so exicted you got the noisemaker joke!! 😂 I also had a kazoo, but sadly, we didn't get footage of the ukelele and kazoo duet during the competition 😥
@FantasticalFolliesCostuming Yes, of course I got the noisemaker joke! Who can forget the way Sir Hiss was constantly sticking his tongue in Prince John's ear? Edit: Men in Tights is awesome, too, but has a totally different kind of comical tone.
Never mind the colour in festival footage, it was lovely to see you all having fun, I'm glad you won. The hood is very cute and you could try little red riding hood with it. ❤
Must be a cloak type of time. Halfling Seamstress came out with a cloak video as I was drafting one. Now, you have your cloak drafting video a week after I have finished my "cyberpunk rain cloak." Must be some type of message from the universe that we need to live the cloak life. 😃 A joy as always, and nice to see I didn't totally bugger up the drafting. I know I am usually about the pirate life, but cyberpunk was more practical for the Pacific Northwest rainy winters. Plus I got to use a shower curtain and reflective safety fabric for the outer shell. Full circle knee length swish and shine.
LOL! What are the odds 😂 it's fate! And hah, that sounds awesome! Nothing wrong with venturing into a different vibe when necessity requires! Thanks for watching 😁
It's so funny you released this today. I quoted this movie today at work. 😮 So much fun to be had at this little get together. Y'all look great and that cape is adorable.
LOL that was great. And I love what you're wearing in the non-sewing, non-reveal and non-Hiss shots... I was so sad when I opened the DVD case for my copy of Robin Hood and it was empty... now I have to check ALL the DVD cases for it. Which means cleaning up my house. Which ain't happeneing now...
Thank you! The collar is the "Lapwing Collar" by Alex Starmore. I knit it last winter. It's very warm and cozy! And kind of neat--it's a kit you can buy, with like, a detailed series of instructional classes. Not cheap, though.
I am renewed in my motivation to get my big cloak made! And maybe also make a lining for a cheap red velvet cloak with fake white fur trim that I have recently acquired to hide the surged seams. 😂
That looks like it was so much fun! Everyone looks great. I really need a warm cloak!! It -4 C or 25 F here right now but will be dropping in a few days!
I might put some boning or similar around the hood edge to keep it from flopping too much. Alternatively and not very period either, I might put a drawstring. It's definitely cloak weather currently
Awesome cloak! And congrats on the win. Did you make that feathery looking crochet neck warmer you’re wearing in the narration sections too? Don’t recall seeing a video for it but I’m a bit behind.
Thank you so much! I did, it's the "Lapwing Collar" pattern/kit by Alice Starmore. I don't have any knitting videos, weirdly, though I am going to be doing a few historical knits in the future! I've always been kinda worried that it's too outside my niche 😥

I'm an experienced costumer, I want to say your style of teaching is so fun and I am sure helps the timid. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!! I appreciate you saying that, and thanks for watching! ☺️
The animated Robin Hood is one of my all-time favorites! Love it. 😄
Niiiice! It's such a classic!

The jumper/scarf/turtleneck you are wearing in the intro and the segues is gorgeous and reminds me of Alan-a-Dale (a Rooster).
Thank you! It's called the Lapwing Collar, and it's a knitting pattern/kit from Alice Starmore.
HISS! YOU'RE NEVER AROUND WHEN I NEED YOU!
HEE HEE. Oh, we were quoting bits of it all day 😂 It's a fun movie.
Never mind the colour in festival footage, it was lovely to see you all having fun, I'm glad you won. The hood is very cute and you could try little red riding hood with it. ❤
This was fun and shows just how easy a cape (or capelet) can be to make. It will definitely whet the sewing appetite in some of your viewers.
Such a cute group costume!! Excellent and very versatile accessory!
Thank you!! It was so much fun to do!!
Love the way you explain the drafting. Minimal math, but essential. Thanks.
You're very welcome! So glad it made sense! 😄
I kept laughing my butt off during the reveal footage. You are a real hoot! I love it!
Thank you! 🤣 I'm so glad you appreciate the weirdness!

I love the loop idea for the front of a cloak.
Thank you! It's definitely my preferred method. So versatile!

So much fun to be had at this little get together. Y'all look great and that cape is adorable.
LOL! We're on the same brainwave! 🤣 We had so much fun! Thank you, and thanks for watching!
Great job! That hood is fabulous!! You look beautiful in it.
Thank you so much!

LOL! I've long since discarded of dvd cases. So much wasted space! Mine are all in books ☺️ Thanks for watching!
It’s gorgeous!!
(And so is the feather collar/scarf you are wearing for much of the explanation footage!)

Love it, I did think it was gonna be longer lol
Yeah, I struggled to get it to time! There's just not that much to it 🤷♀️
Hello. 😃😊 That was a nice project. I like cloaks. 🙂
Hi! Thank you, and thanks for watching!
the hood is EPIC!! i loved that robin hood movie! little weirdo that i was, i had a crush on robin. :D
Thank you!!! And HAH! You know what? A lot of people have said that to me, so you're not alone 🤣🤣
💜 Thanks for you lovely videos!
Aw, I'm so glad you enjoy them! Thanks for watching! 😊
So fun. I lucked into a beautiful wool (6 yds for $11, I squeaked with excitement), maybe a cape and hood need to be on the horizon!
Whaaaaat! That's AMAZING! It would be a good use--and use little enough yardage to make something else, too!
I am renewed in my motivation to get my big cloak made! And maybe also make a lining for a cheap red velvet cloak with fake white fur trim that I have recently acquired to hide the surged seams. 😂
Awesome!!!!
2:21 so basically you could just use the circle skirt calculator only for your neck! 😂😂😂
Does she do the 18th century stockings? 3:56
Yes, and many other things! I love her shop so much.

It really was! Quite chaotic, but fun 🤣 And brrrr! You do! Farmhouse Fabrics has some 1-2 yard cuts of red wool coating on sale right now 😉
Love a maaaaaaaaaaaaassive hood. Highly practical, ahem, if you're careful how you wear it.
TOTALLY! 🤣🤐

I'm happy with the way it looks, but hey, you do you! Thanks for watching!
I loved watching this video
I'm glad to hear it! 😁 Thank you!
Beautiful wotk
Thank you!
I can’t do the red. But I’m going to be making a green wool one!!
Green is a very nice color, too!!
Fun, fun fun
Thank you!! 🤗
This is fantastic! You look amazing. I was just wondering what I could make with a little off cut of red wool fabric. Thanks!
Thank you so much! And YES perfect timing! 😃

@@FantasticalFolliesCostuming maybe add a few knitting segments into some of your projects it's not like you're busy or anything😂. Am I right?
@@FantasticalFolliesCostuming Ah I understand the worry there. Well it still looks very cool!
Hello😄
