In the comics during his early years he's usually so obsessed with the idea of Batman it consumes him It's usually a few years into his time as batman he realises he can help people as Bruce and starts adopting a public persona. Even Keaton's Bruce Wayne is a reclusive weirdo, Christian Bale's version has set the new standard and he got into that Bruce persona really fast so we kinda expect that now. I think if in the sequel Bruce comes out to help with the flooding and becomes more public we will get a story line where he becomes more like the Bruce Wayne we expect, and the way he played Neil in Tenet makes me confident he can do it really well.
