If there's one thing ubisoft is gonna do right, it's gonna be the representation of this era in Japan. I remember they did a completely free exploration piece of ancient Egypt when they made Origins. It got a bunch of accolades.
Yep but you dont play with a japanese in assassin creed origin!!! Why we have to play with a retainer? A katana Holder who was the slave of japanese? I want to play a real hitokiri (assassin elite samourai), japan history have some good hitokiri, dont need to made up one !!

Wrong, you misunderstand UbiSoft, you should know how to Ubi and how to Soft.

The irony is the fact that I’m currently replaying The Ghost of Tsushima and this game has copied the layout style, but not the finesse. I’m still not convinced this is something I would pick up prior to multiple favorable reviews.

impressive !! no more damage sponges , each strikes are impactful and authentic, the combat animations are fantastic !
i'm hoping they clean up the animations to be honest. Ghosts of Tsushima has spoiled me. there are aspects i like but i'm a little worried about the feel of the game being over shadowed by ghosts.

I'm Japanese and I liked what I saw in the trailer, as it's a different graphics engine I have hope for a good game, the problem is that the game is from Ubisoft, Konami and Ubisoft are two companies that I don't trust but as a Japanese I didn't feel offended by the fact that Yasuke is the protagonist.
I'm going to be 42, I'm too old to care about the cultural war between wokes and conservatives, neutrality is better.

Yusuke was not a samourai, just a clown who hold katana, but with this, american will think they make japan what it is today like they think wakanda is a real country

The first half was.... all right. Ghost of Tsushima did a much better job, but the second half..., NOW THAT was the the AC Japan we've been waiting for. That was some nice stealth action gameplay!!!! BOTH voice actors .... and the writing seem kind of flat though.
Imitation is the greatest form of compliment. And I agree, Ghost of Tsushima is a masterpiece. Both visually and in gameplay. It's fluid and the transitions are seamless. Easy a top ten all-time game.
I'm sure the game will be fun, sneaking looks much better than in other iterations, and as always, the era will be impeccably researched, but man, some of the dialog there is as barebones as they come. "Hey mr. Samurai come here!" "Sure!" "Please help us with the bad people" "Will do! I am JUSTICE!" That's not how you make players think they are in a believable world. That's how you create task lists.
You can do better.

I was going to comment that. My only doubt was Temu or Wish. Ghost of Tsushima is the original AC Japan, this is a cheap copy.
Ghost of Tsushima's animations were much smoother, precise and real looking. A game made almost 10 years ago.
In this game it looks like theyre moving at 2x speed all of a sudden and just looks kind of ridiculous. Thats my only gripe, besides that its very pleasing to the eye (idgaf about his skin color, itll still play the exact same way despite his skin color).
I can already tell that Ghost of Tsushima did the setting way better and this game isn't even out yet.

This game looks amazing! All the haters just want to hate but they are here to see every bit of this game they secretly love it. You have to admit they went all out on this one. This actually makes me look forward to the future ac games if they are making them rich with details like this one. What a beautiful looking game.

The details you mentioned were polished quick time events which Ubisoft is notorious for. Actual gameplay and graphics are above average, but on a scale of 1-10 it’s a solid 7.
