Wow! What a busy morning! I must say that neither you nor the airplanes seem to age at all as time goes by! I always feel a little nervous seeing the steep descents to the water, but they almost always land very smoothly.
Gavin, I am truly grateful for your always kind words, engagement and support, thank you. This was definitely a busy morning, my favourite kind of morning. I'm doing my best to keep up with these amazing machine, excellent maintenance is the key. Best...Corrie

Hi Corrie, this was a busy twenty minutes at YWH wasn't it? Nice to see a couple of Otters that I've flown on. I also found out something I didn't know - I knew the Kennmore Otters look different to the Harbour Air Otters but I couldn't put my finger on the reason. When you mentioned sightseeing windows it dawned on me. Harbour Air's Otters have them, Kenmore's don't. Thanks!
It was a busy 20 minutes, and so much fun. It's pretty cool that you recognize the ones you've flown on. I remember the ones I've been on too. Funny you mention the window conversions. I just noticed a couple of months ago the difference. I am truly grateful for your always kind words, engagement and support, thank you. Hope all is well on your side of the earth. We've had lots of rain, and more on the way. You know it has to be a doozy when they call it a bomb cyclone or an atmospheric river. Best....Corrie
Simon, I thought the same, the Kenmore Beaver landing was amazing! You're a pilot, I've seen some of your amazing landings too. Someday I'll fly with you. I am truly grateful for your always kind words, positive encouragement and support, thank you. Best....Corrie
Allan, I promise to stay safe this weekend. We are in for more heavy rain. I'm not sure how often the engines are rebuilt. It would be hours for sure, I don't know at how many hours. Then there is also regular scheduled maintenance for everything else on the aircraft. These machines are very well taken care of. Thanks Allan, I am truly grateful for your kind words, engagement and support. Best....Corrie
In the case of the Beavers with their radials there is a time between overhauls of 2000 hours. I'm not sure how many times they are allowed to be overhauled before an engine replacement is called for. I know that in private ownership an engine is allowed to fly "on condition" meaning that it has an over haul at 2000 hours and beyond that is allowed to continue flying as long as periodic inspections don't find any problems. That's in the UK though, Canada's regulations may be different. I would be interested to know the answer. I have no ideaa what the TBO on the turboprops is.
@@leftcoastcorrie If Kenmore were looking for some GREAT advertising, they may want to consider having you ride a round trip to their two bases in Seattle. Keep up the excellent videos, they are awesome. You may want to consider adding a few clips of the yachts in the marina.
Barry, that would be a dream come true to visit Kenmore Air's bases in Seattle. I am in the early planning stages of a couple of trips I'd like to take. Seaplane spotting in Seattle for a few days is on the list, then fly to Anchorage for a few days and seaplane spot at Lake Hood and take a cruise home to Vancouver. I'm a dreamer....lol. I am truly grateful for your kind words, engagement and support, thank you. Best....Corrie
@@leftcoastcorrie Airlines love free advertising... from quick shots of their checkin desk, to boarding, startup, takeoff, enroute, landing, taxi to ramp, disembarking, baggage, customs etc. mostly the takeoff, enrolee sight seeing and landing. There are many routes and when planes are running light they may be amenable to trading a ride for free advertising. This is a great trade; you get more viewers and they get free advertising for their routes, customer service and terminal locations. A presentation letter to Harbour Air and Kenmore with an even trade may yield an inflow of business for both parties. Best to you Corrie.
Barry, I appreciate your excellent suggestion, thank you. Definitely food for thought. I have a plan to take CorilAir's Historic Mail Flight in a Beaver. I will probably take this flight in the Spring when the weather is better and more daylight. Best...Corrie
You could be right, I hadn't given it much thought as didn't appear to be anything out of the ordinary. I think it was on it's decent, and decided to wait for the ferry and circle a couple of times. Probably holding off to give the ferry the sea room to maneuver without getting in it's way. I am pretty sure the pilot would have seen that an immediate landing would have been in conflict with it. The Nav Canada tower may have requested it
Ian, I'm thinking the same as you. When I get a radio, it will tell a more accurate story. We won't have to guess. Now that I understand the ATC conversations, I love the radio telling the story. Best...Corrie

Was that an aborted landing at the three (3) minute mark? And that was quite the bumpy landing for the Kenmore.
