I'm a tree bark, mushroom, fungi, lichen loving freak....lol....I tried tree bark my way, and I made it much more difficult for myself...thanks for these vids!
Ive seen alot of miniature bark fungus videos and this is by a wide margin the easiest with still great end results. I do scene modeling and this will work freat for where I am on the rainforests of south america. Thankyou for your time.

yes, that's the idea. I want to use them as a "modern" quite of forest inspired background for my "concert hall" with my happy bugs. Big plans. :D

yes indeed. I've often baled polymer clay after painting it. But do try first as acrylics on polymer clays can be tricky at times

yes, but please make tests before doing that, certain pigments in certain paints might migrate through the clay

do you have a tutorial using these colors for the bark? If not, what colors are soft pastels and what colors are the acrylic paint please?
the acrylic is just white (I say it in the video) and the clay of the bark is just a random mixture of browns and ochres
