Agreed! I'm glad that I had some bits to watch downloaded onto my phone but I think that up to 6 hours is fine without entertainment or food if you plan ahead..

How long did it take you to go through security in Maldives?

Arriving, it was all really fast. I can't remember exactly but no more than 15 minutes from getting off the plane to getting out of the airport.
I'll be posting the vlog of flying out of the Maldives in a few days. That was a really quick process too.
