The amount of cope from people defending modern zombies is sad. They defend their modern mediocre slop so aggressively. I refuse to believe they ever played any of the older good zombies games. I’m done with COD zombies, been playing for 14 years, since black ops 1 kino, and this reveal is the straw that broke the camel’s back. Quite sad to see everything special be stripped away. Also to note, there are so many people defending this game online because the large proportion of the community that has been disappointed and unsatisfied by zombies for the most part left already. What remains is a smaller community where copers make up seemingly the majority.
It's literally the old Halo vs new Halos situation. They may have played all of them but they very obviously started at the newer ones so they just don't have that fundamental understanding of what made the OGs special. Honestly I agree with every single point you made. I'm not sure why everyone was hyping this game up to be the next BO3 when we haven't even seen full gameplay reveals up until this point. The beautiful cutscenes and the return of gobblegums were just band-aids for the OG community in order to market the game to them. You're absolutely right about the little details and intricacies that are absent from zombies; it's something that's easy to miss, but when you notice it, you can't forget it. Looking back, I realize how much I miss them. This is the 3rd Treyarch zombies in a row (technically 5th) since BO4 that has deviated away from the core mechanics and atmosphere that made zombies what it is - or was. After Cold War's lifecycle ended, I believed that if Treyarch wouldn't return to the old style of zombies after 2 controversial games in a row, then they would never do it. And that seems to be the case after the reveal of this game. Now you're probably thinking that I'm not going to play it - WRONG. Yeah I'm only a little disappointed (because I was being reasonable by setting my expectations lower), but at the end of the day this is a new COD zombies game, and I'm more excited than before. Like I said last time, I'm not someone who can play BO3 for another 10 years. But you guys can! Remember folks, you will always be able to play the best zombies game - BO3 - and the games before it, forever. If you're not happy with modern zombies, custom maps will keep you playing for an eternity!!!

It's genuinely frustrating how so many ppl don't realize how not starting with a pistol and instead letting you stick to your starting gun destroys so much potential for naps having an identity, especially with the reuse of mini bosses and then having unique wall buys that force you to engage with the map in a certain way. The biggest offender being the wunderfizz not being randomized which just strips away the need for perk locations (Which harms map design and flow which is further why CW maps all blend together and feel and play the same). Like I feared this is just CW 2.0 with the gobble gums. I suspect it'll be just like CW and Bo4 whete it'll be hyped up for the honeymoon phase at launch and then once the next Cod or other games come out they'll just move on (Which is sad since the community would usually stick with the previous game besides customs until the next one came). To conclude my long rant, this game is essentially like the debate between the old and new Halo games. They change stuff or have additions that destroy a lot of what made the originals good with a handful of good things that don't outweigh the issues created. The zombies I once loved is fully dead and it's a damn shame. At least we got customs though.

The point of it was to be a randomized perk machine like the mystery box so part of that fun was gambling for a potentially good perk to save money. Now it's just a hub for buying all your perks instead of having to engage with the map to find/get them back after downing. It's lazy, makes them all feel the same, and doesn't add anything unique. That plus other things I said is exactly what I went by the older things being better so idk how you came out of everything that I typed as me "saying nothing" lol. Do you understand how older maps making start with a pistol forced you to use the wall weapons they put in before you got to the box? This helped maps play and feel differently in so many ways. The progression of going to the box, jug, and then power (or finding power and then jug) is what made you take different paths. This was further helped optimization and incentives to explore by gathering parts for build ables, then you had unique mini bosses which further encouraged you to buy wall weapons or go to the box. All that in CW? Gone, just for the "convenience" as you ppl say of being able to "use what you want". Just bc it's more "convenient" doesn't make it better. You lose so much of the great progression of what made zombies unique. Bo4 had the same issue with letting you put a knife on the strife pistol. It becomes a big crutch that just messes with early game progression.

im not one to play zombies, or cod anymore at this point, but disregarding the class setup that was in cold war, the objective marker being there could be for the guidance difficulty they have for doing easter eggs. Or this could be a zombies mission instead of an actual game of zombies with rounds, just a guess.

i bought bo6 after not playing cod for years the multiplayer beta was actually fun i had an amazing time, for zombies i would indeed say stay in bo3 doubt they will add any settings to change hud or shields or barricades anything like that
I'm about as excited for this COD as I was for Vanguard. I guess that's what happends when there has been two years of mediocre COD games and now this one looks mediocre as well.
i feel like theres a lot of people who complain about wanting zombies to "go back to how it used to be" when everyone has a different definition of what that is. Zombies has always evolved game to game and people always complain about the new zombies at first for any and every reason. I dont think we'll ever get the same zombies feel as bo3/4 without Jason Blundell around and thats just something most people are gonna have to accept unfortunately. I think LF looks boring initially too, but I think Terminus looks cool. Maybe omni-movement will feel great even if some aspects like the points system arent my cup of tea and I also dislike loadouts. Hoping the new stuff lives up to being any good. Could just be coping, but I did have a good time with CW, even if it wasnt my favorite. Think im like a bo3 > bo4 > iw > cw > the rest kinda guy (bo2 and earlier are kinda dated to me and i grew up on em). And vanguard obviously below em all. I think most of us can be happy it aint vanguard 2.

Great video and reaction as always my man. And I like and agree with a lot of the points you make. However, I think that the loadout system for zombies is convenient. It helps a lot with camo challenges and leveling up certain weapons. Maybe I'm just impatient, but I hate spinning the box over and over for a specific weapon, just for it to have garbage attachments. Anyways, love the content and I'm looking forward to what your cooking up next!

I can im super excited for the other map most likely this map will be used for camo grinding, not including cold war didn't have the knuckle cracking sound effect or the animation (kinda not a big deal to mean when the other zombies haven't had since BO3) but im glad the direction zombies is taking with the first map. We'll just have to see where it takes us

to be fair, none of the developing studios for call of duty get full and final say. most things get ran through activision first or are ideas from activision. and if they refuse to listen to what activision wants, then they won't publish the game
i think its just an "introduction" map. Just to push CW & mwz story forward also because it was playable at codnext leave me to believe it even more i think the second map on release is gonna be worth the wait
im not one to play zombies, or cod anymore at this point, but disregarding the class setup that was in cold war, the objective marker being there could be for the guidance difficulty they have for doing easter eggs. Or this could be a zombies mission instead of an actual game of zombies with rounds, just a guess.

i bought bo6 after not playing cod for years the multiplayer beta was actually fun i had an amazing time, for zombies i would indeed say stay in bo3 doubt they will add any settings to change hud or shields or barricades anything like that

I'm about as excited for this COD as I was for Vanguard. I guess that's what happends when there has been two years of mediocre COD games and now this one looks mediocre as well.
i feel like theres a lot of people who complain about wanting zombies to "go back to how it used to be" when everyone has a different definition of what that is. Zombies has always evolved game to game and people always complain about the new zombies at first for any and every reason. I dont think we'll ever get the same zombies feel as bo3/4 without Jason Blundell around and thats just something most people are gonna have to accept unfortunately.
I think LF looks boring initially too, but I think Terminus looks cool. Maybe omni-movement will feel great even if some aspects like the points system arent my cup of tea and I also dislike loadouts. Hoping the new stuff lives up to being any good. Could just be coping, but I did have a good time with CW, even if it wasnt my favorite. Think im like a bo3 > bo4 > iw > cw > the rest kinda guy (bo2 and earlier are kinda dated to me and i grew up on em). And vanguard obviously below em all. I think most of us can be happy it aint vanguard 2.

Great video and reaction as always my man. And I like and agree with a lot of the points you make. However, I think that the loadout system for zombies is convenient. It helps a lot with camo challenges and leveling up certain weapons.
Maybe I'm just impatient, but I hate spinning the box over and over for a specific weapon, just for it to have garbage attachments.

Nah custom classes take away a sense of real progression in the game. If you wanna camo grind so bad get better at mp lol. Zombies should be distinct and now it looks just like all the other shit I wanna get away from such as warzone.

I heard about th3 "classic mode" in bo6. Honestly, theyll manage to screw it up. Comon, 4 years of dev just to make another cold war, it seems lazy. Well not to surprise to see people making videos on this topic after everyone in the zombies community hyping it up saying "we so back!". I can im super excited for the other map most likely this map will be used for camo grinding, not including cold war didn't have the knuckle cracking sound effect or the animation (kinda not a big deal to mean when the other zombies haven't had since BO3) but im glad the direction zombies is taking with the first map. We'll just have to see where it takes us

The game doesnt even look graphically impressive. Lighting is very basic and there's like no shadows.
