Thank you so much for this video. I'm going to watch the oil cooler vid as well I replaced my water pump and always use the vacuum fill up radiator tool this time it damaged the rubber seal on the radiator and I have a leak . Definitely want the zzp upgraded one instead of the plastic tank garbage .
Great wrenching video dude, love the GT-R/Sonic garage setup. I got a hatchback Sonic myself here in AZ, I’m in the central Phx area, maybe we can link up sometime at a meet or something. Keep up the good work.
You didn’t show, or mention (???), if the new radiator had a,” Air Bleed Bolt” ? As you filled it, you could see antifreeze coming out as the radiator was full ? So basically you still may have air in your radiator ?
Has the zzp radiator leaked since installing? I’ve heard it’s a major issue with a lot of people, and I’m alittle hesitant to remove a completely fine radiator and install my oversized one.
In all honesty yes a leak did occur on the radiator at about 11 months into use… luckily it was still covered under their 1 year workmanship warranty. So got a replacement, so far this second one has been in for about 7 months, no issues . But only time will tell.
Hello from Korea. I have 1.4 sonic in Korea. I'm going to replace the zzp radiator soon. However, there was an issue that the zzp radiator broke down in 4 months in Korea. There is an opinion that this issue relates to cooling fans. Is your zzp radiator still working? Is the performance of the zzp radiator definitely better than pure?
Wow… sorry to hear that happened. But yes my ZZP radiator is still working excellent already close to 20000 miles using it through the full AZ summer with temps as high as 120°F
Hey Avron, I’m looking at swapping out my stock radiator for the ZZP. Do you happen to recall what size bolts/screws you had to purchase that did not come with the kit?

Did you ever post the bumper removal video?

How to take off bumper without breaking clips?
Don't forget to check the ATF on automatics. After removing the transmission lines, some fluid can leak out.
