- In this video we are flying on high video bitrate with the imx335 OpenIPC camera.
This is the DVR from my goggles.
The high bitrate will have impact on the range.
We could use better antennas to increase the range.

The system supports MAVLINK1 or MAVLINK2 bidirectional telemetry which makes it a complete solution for a quadcopter or fixed wing/VTOL. It also has WFB-ng link preinstalled and this means it has serious long range capabilities.

We did it! From now on we use DJI or WS by choice, not by force because we have our own open source digital FPV system, OpenIPC, which is as good as the commercial ones! Cheers mate!😊🍻

I have a question. This is the video from Our googles, right? Do you see also the telemetry in your googles? The battery status, flying time and the horizont? Or this is not recorded?
Yes I have OSD with many data but they are not recorded on the DVR. OpenIPC supports MAVLINK telemetry so there are so many widgets on my screen. Cheers mate!😊🍻
Mario, what is right now needed to make this into a full product anyone can buy? I'm still pretty much a n00b in FPV but I can clearly see there is big potential here and I want to help it in some way. As I understand this could easily beat anything HDzero and Walksnails is making, or at least push them to adopt this more open tech to beat DJI, right?
Just buy a Mario AIO, a Radxa Zero 3w and an rtl8812au WiFi adapter. We are developing one as well, coming soon. Then you need goggles or a monitor with HDMI in. That’s all. Cheers mate!😊🍻

I would love to get started with openipc, what latency could i expect?
The lowest latency achieved was 21ms glass to glass. You can do crazy freestyle easily, check out my previous shared videos from Greg. Cheers mate!😊🍻

Hi, first off all thank you for your amazing work. Can you please tell me if there are there any ways to display MavLink telemetry from Ardupilot in OpenIPC FPV firmware? Because now it only works with the betaflight/inav
My setup is ssc338q and nvr dv100
OpenIPC is fully compatible with Ardupilot. You can use windows or Linux laptop for QGC or MP. Cheers mate!😊🍻

Love it, Mario! Would you please give your personal overview of where you believe the open-source frameworks are at? I’m wanting to start a project, but not sure which way to go, between OpenIPC, OpenHD, Ruby FPV, Wfb-ng (and if there are any other noteworthy options?). Thank you!! 🙏
I recommend you use OpenIPC AIO Mario camera flashed with Ruby and Radxa Zero 3w flashed with Ruby. It is a game changer and currently the best open source combination. Cheers mate!😊🍻

evalue if might be possible add a bit of sharpning filter, it might help in this case, since its quite soft the image, and doesnt return a strong enough "HD" feel and look, still great however
I think sharpening might look very bad, we don't need HD feel, we just need a good image
