Great vlog as ever Tiffany. I like the beautiful sage floral fabric. Actually i would like that design as a wallpaper in my lounge. It's lovely. Also i was curious about the name Hoosier, so googled it today. Now i know. Interesting! Have a great day xx
Hi Tiffany, I think the stripe would be great for a jacket with a southwestern accent. It reminds me of a Pendleton style wool jacket which is a popular brand that has become very pricey. I think you will get more wear out of the dress is you make it in the floral green fabric. Whatever you choose have fun sewing it ❤️
Your channel is so fun! I 'm happy the pattern I voted for won. The design of that dress will look great on you. I like the sage with the flowers and bees for the dress. So classy and summery!
Hello, Gail! Thank you so much for watching and I so appreciate the advice! I hope you’re having a wonderful start to your week, Gail! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
I've worked with that stipe within my bags. It is nice, but I think the other fabric is gorgeous, in your color pallet and will drape at the waist better than the stripped. The stripped could make a beautiful fall over shirt or jacket!! Especially coupled with some denim or solid contrast. Great finds Tiffany!❤
Hello, Lola! Thank you so much for watching and for the great suggestion, I so appreciate it! I hope you’re having a great week, Lola! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
The floral print would look nice. The stripe would work for the Burda pattern too. I also purchased the McCalls 8281. I'm not sure what fabric I'll use.
Yay my dress vote won! Both fabric choices are nice, but that striped fabric would be so eye catching with the pattern. Can’t wait to see what you choose and the final project. 💜🦋

I can’t remember what I voted for but the winner is a beautiful dress pattern ❤The sage with bees is my choice - the stripe is gorgeous too though… I just love the floral more ❤ I can’t wait to see it! Would love more up close of you making it as I am petrified of buttonholes 😂😂 Happy sewing❤❤❤

Hi Tiffany. Two great fabric choices! If you mainly want the dress for work, I would pick the light sage with bees print. It seems more conservative to me. But it might be difficult to see the tie detail at the waist when it's competing with the allover print. If you want a more relaxed feel, say a floaty summer dress that can go casual or night out, I'd pick the beautiful stripe. The few times I've used fabric called homespun, the colors seemed to fade faster than a quilting cotton print. That's one of the things that pushes me towards making the dress in the stripe fabric for more relaxed activities; if those yummy colors mellow out, the fade would be compatible with a softer look. The stripes also would stand out at the tie, highlighting that design feature, assuming you change the direction of the stripe for those pattern pieces. That could be really fun. Wishing you happy time creating the dress out of whatever fabric you choose. I can't wait to see it, Antonia
Hello, Antonia! Thank you so much for watching and for such a thoughtful comment, I so appreciate your advice! You’ve given me a lot of great food for thought, Antonia! It’s something of an important decision because of the quantity of fabric that this dress takes made this dress a little more expensive and I want to make the right call! Thanks again for chatting with me, I hope you’re having a great start to your week, Antonia! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
Wow! Your Joann's is so clean and neat! I love the people at mine, but I think they're woefully understaffed. There are empty, messy shelves and stock carts everywhere waiting to be put out. Your's looks like a joy to shop at.
Hello, Lisa! Thank you so much for watching! Yes, there’s definitely some stores that are more taken care of than others! It can be so frustrating to attempt to shop in an unorganized store, I totally agree! Thanks so much for chatting with me today, Lisa! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
Love the pattern choice. The fabrics are beautiful. The green floral grabbed me immediately but as I reflect more I think the stripe would be stunning in that pattern. In addition, there are colors in it that are similar to other color choices you’ve made. Maybe that soft, summery floral would look great in the McCalls 8281 ??😊
Hello, Brooke! Thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment! Oooo, good thinking about using the floral for another pattern since I’ll have plenty of it! I so appreciate the advice, Brooke, I hope you’re having a great start to your week! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
Hello dear Tiffany. I don’t think I voted for your dress pattern but I really do adore the winner in the sage bee and flower print. Plus, it can just slide into September as you know how hot it can be in that month too. Sultry. I think all the patterns were great choices and really cute too! The southwestern homespun would make a really cute boho looking dress or skirt also. Whatever print for the winning choice will be great. Been hot and humid but today, but Tuesday eve, it has cooled off some and less humid here in the northern part of IN. My daughter and her hubs flew in later Friday evening and a bad storm has also hit Fla but their house is ok. Hurricane or tropical storm Debby!!! The neighbor checks it for them as well as some cameras and apps. Don’t ask me about that kind of gadget stuff but I just know my daughter reported everything is fine while they are here. Saturday late afternoon is the wedding of my younger twins step son. We are all attending then the state fair Sunday. Hate to muss church but this wk it will just have to be the way it will work. Then later Monday my daughter n her hubs fly back. Too short a visit. My grandson starts his first yr of high school tomorrow ,,he’s excited and it’s a private school. He struggles some in learning so we are hoping this school will be a wonderful fit for him and it also is offering classes and teachers too to teach how he learns a bit better for him, We are feeling blessed! For sure!!! It’s actually a catholic school and we aren’t of that faith but it’s to be a great school for helping out students who learn different and slower paced than just strictly academics all the way, learning, but in each students way which really drew my daughter to investigate and get her son ( my grandson enrolled) it is not new school in our area but has a wonderful reputation in our part of the state also. That’s my excitement. lol. I’m still in pt once a wk. Ugg,,, but doing it slowly and steadily to my 100 degree bend and soo ooooo close, 97 degree bend and tomorrow and the dr will get my info sent to his office,,,, total knee replacement takes weeks into many months getting better and moving better. I’m trying to sew too. Finishing my daughter’s alteration on her jumpsuit for the rehearsal dinner and bow ties for my grandson as being dressed in khaki pants and collared shirt and bow tie or tie is required at this school which is another thing we are all happy about as I’m sure you know how kids and especially our girls have clothing options in stores today. ( another or a great reason to sew for our girls and us) Way too short of shorts and skirts, etc.. Bow ties are easy sewing and so fulfilling to sew too. Fairly fast and easy and can customize the prints we sew too. Such fun too choosing fun smaller scale prints and lots of colors etc. I’m wishing you great a sewing week, , take care and hope your family is well. When does Addy June start preschool? In our area it is usually right after Labor Day. Which I wish was true for All the kids. Indiana sends our children back to school way, way, way too early it seems. Just my humble opinion tho! Take care, Nancy from ft Wayne.
Hello, Kathy! Thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment, I so appreciate your advice! Hope you’re having a great start to your week, Kathy! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
Well, I love that pattern! Both fabrics are nice - I like the striped one because it's a bit different. Homespun is generally a little more rustic, less polished, smooth or elegant - the idea being that back in the day, fabric made from fibers spun at home wouldn't be as uniform and smooth as machine-loomed fibers made in a fabric mill - more of a frontier fabric compared to a fabric from a big city - more prairie than Paris 😄. Looking forward to seeing this dress made up!
Hello, Mary! Thank you so much for watching and for that wonderful explanation of Homespun! How neat! I’m definitely in love with that fabric and how cool to randomly find it at Hobby Lobby!? Thanks for sharing with me, Mary, I hope you’re having a wonderful start to your week! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
Hello, Lena! Thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment, I so appreciate your advice! Hope you’re having a great start to your week, Lena! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
Hi Tiffany. I hope you like the pattern that won the vote. I like the green fabric. Homespun is something I've used in doll making and quilting but I've never seen it so brightly coloured. It might be quite a different quality to what I have seen. It definitely looks like a fun fabric. I hope you get to use it soon. I'd love to see how it sews up. Have a lovely week.❤
Hello, Rita! Thank you so much for watching and for the great suggestion, I so appreciate it! I hope you’re having a great week, Rita! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
Hi Tiffany I like the homespun fabric I found a channel on TH-cam called the homespun wife and she focuses on scripture writing, which I learned about from her so homespun it is!
Hello, Zelda! Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment, I so appreciate your advice! Aw, that’s a neat correlation, thanks for sharing, Zelda! I hope you’re having a wonderful start to your week! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
I think the floral fabric for the first place pattern. I envision the striped pattern for the Burda dress, I would do the top of the dress in a horizontal layout and the bottom of the dress in a vertical layout, which I think would look really nice on you (love that fabric by the way).
Hello, Sheila! Thank you so much for watching and for such great suggestions, I so appreciate it! I hope you’re having a great week, Sheila! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany

Both fabrics are beautiful, si I think it goes down to where you plan to wear it. I think the bee fabric is a little more casual and could go anywhere, and the stripe would lend a boutique look to the dress, making it look more special, so it might be more of a going out dress for somewhere that you want to look and feel a little more special. I really do love both, but am curious how the stripes would play out in that pattern.
Hello, Linda! Thank you so much for watching! What a smart way to approach the fabric options, Linda, I so appreciate your advice! Hope you’re having a wonderful start to your week, Linda! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany
Oh I’m so excited! But also feel like since we voted on a dress that takes like 7 yards of fabric maybe all of us who voted for that one might need to contribute to the cost of the fabric! 😂 Which ever fabric you choose I know the dress will be lovely! ❤️

Is that homespun fabric soft? The last time I bought homespun it was to make rag quilts and it was kind of stiff and itchy. Love the colors on the stripe fabric.
Hello, Diane! Thanks so much for watching! Yes! This homespun is incredibly soft. It was on the bolt and even more so now that I’ve washed it. It’s also slightly drapey, like the weave is not super tight. Definitely a neat option for this dress! Thanks so much for chatting with me, Diane! Happy Sewing ❤️~Tiffany

Hey Tiffany! IMHO, I like the cotton floral fabric. It speaks dress to me. The stripe speaks poncho to me (Clint Eastwood westerns). Happy Sewing!
I vote for the stripe. I think it really suits the cut of the dress and you would look amazing in it
Beautiful dress pattern. I like the floral fabric. Happy sewing.
