As a panthers fan. Home a few minutes away from the stadium in Sunrise Florida. It's our only Ft Lauderdale team. All the rest of the sports claim from Miami so this is a big deal for Broward county. Thanks for the perspective on how things were last year against Vegas. Most was injured and we got demolished. Thanks for the tight series and wish you guys the best on another run for the cup next year,.
Miami has the Heat and Marlins in their areas the dolphins stadium is located near broward county in the county lines between dade and broward. The teams that play outside the Miami dade area as of now are the panthers and Lionel Messi and the inter Miami CF soccer team.

They put on a strong façade on interviews, saying they’re not tired or exhausted, but ya gotta admit it’s probably exhausting to come back from a 3-0 in the Stanley Cup Finals. Was unfortunate that they took till the end of game 3 to start lifting the puck or shooting blocker side, Bobrovsky is a wall if you shoot low or on catcher side. Also too many giveaways and general blunders in games 1-3.

There were even some Oil can heads that surrounded a 10 year old girl - A CHILD - and bullied and harassed her for being a Panthers fan. Most of us said "please stop just leave us alone and let us enjoy hockey in peace." But they wouldn't stop, so we started fighting back. Some people said a lot of nasty things i won't repeat here - and some literally were irate that I played hockey in FL... like pretty much telling me that it wasn't "real hockey" and just because it doesnt snow here, or that hockey isnt engrained into our culture, that we dont belong in the hockey community. I mean, hockey ISNT our life here - they are right. There is so much more to do here than just play hockey. But its A PART of our life here. I get that it is like a religion for most Canadians - and they are fanatical about it - but at least be considerate. The best thing about this place is , in 4 months this place will be covered with snow and Panthers fans will be celebrating swimming withthe cup in the turquoise waters of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.
Snow is fun, you would enjoy your car more in the snow. Varying seasons provides a good balance of summer and winter activities. Golf one month, ski or snowmobile in the mountains the next month.

Anybody who was in Edmonton that day and tried to go to the watch party knows that the Ice District would have been crowded with people shoulder to shoulder if it hadn't been for the horrendous planning and preparation security did to accommodate all those people. Lines were closed after waiting for hours ahead of gametime, people budding in front of others, and police telling people they had to go home because their was too much commotion at the gate entrance. It's a shame the event planning lead to a pretty empty looking watch party.

I know with Edmonton fans it would've rounded everything out for McDavid too but they've shown they're good enough. Florida last year showed they wanted it and returned this year, Edmonton has a role model of sorts to show they can come back and go it next year too.
I know the feeling, but what fans. This is the stuff that makes hockey great, more exhilarating than other sports and gives ya a good show and it's spreading. Again, Utah enters the hockey scene, that HAS to make Canada smile. Utah got a pro hockey team before they got an NFL team. Idaho just north of them has a minor team, could Idaho enter the NHL as a Tundra state as well? It could happen. Look at your national sport grow and more people gain interest in it. Welcome it! Watch it spread. Encourage it to spread. Utah had it's big welcome to the NHL during the draft and they were boo'd. That's pretty cold (no pun intended). The draft is neutral territory and they were boo'd, but they're adopting hockey! That's great! Welcome them in, welcome them to your home! Show em what hockey world is about. It's a much more rewarding feeling than loss, just that more people love the sport.
And hey, honestly, how many players on the Florida Panthers are Canadian? Former Coyote Keith Tkachuk, his son Matthew? Canadian

To all the cocky, rude, and mostly delusional Oilers fans who constantly harassed and bullied us Panthers fans the entire time, it feels so good to say: THE FLORIDA PANTHERS ARE 2023-24 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS. Man, the parade last Sunday was EPIC - 300,000 people on the beach watching the Cats celebrate and lift the cup over and over again. I am not very good at math but i think thats more than 6 fans, lol. Man, it was incredible. Maybe if most Oilers fans were a bit more humble and friendly, then Canada would actually win a Cup. There were even some Oil can heads that surrounded a 10 year old girl - A CHILD - and bullied and harassed her for being a Panthers fan. That's a disgrace - not only to the few Oilers fans i encountered who were nice but to the hockey community. Those of you who did that should be ashamed of yourselves. Anyways, congrats to Connor McDavid for winning the Conn Smythe - maybe the Oilers can have a rally and he can parade it around that little outdoor plaza up there. I had to rub it in for all the Oils who were rude to me and my Panthers fans family.

@@teighandoughty1573 I can only account for what i witnessed. I witnessed lots of Canadian hockey fans invading our live streams and other Panthers-centric events to just harass us. Most of us said "please stop just leave us alone and let us enjoy hockey in peace." But they wouldn't stop, so we started fighting back. Some people said a lot of nasty things i won't repeat here - and some literally were irate that I played hockey in FL... like pretty much telling me that it wasn't "real hockey" and just because it doesnt snow here, or that hockey isnt engrained into our culture, that we dont belong in the hockey community. I mean, hockey ISNT our life here - they are right. There is so much more to do here than just play hockey. But its A PART of our life here. I get that it is like a religion for most Canadians - and they are fanatical about it - but at least be considerate. I don't mind some chirping in good fun but the things that were said were out of genuine vitriol and hatred toward us hockey fans down here. Again, we just wanted to be left alone - but many of you guys wouldn't stop... we aren't pansies, we are going to defend our team and fight back... so that's probably what you are referring to.

Some of the things that were said were not just "talking smack" - we all enjoy a little chirping - this was pure anger and hatred, like what you would see from some fanatical religious types... but i suppose it IS a religion for most Canadians. Now most Oilers fans are like "what we didn't say anything." Lol... its ok, it is water under the bridge for me. I have come to the realization that no matter how many cups the Panthers win, we will never be accepted as true hockey fans by the NHL hockey community at large.... and that's ok. We sort of embrace the "black sheep" label anyways.

The best thing about this place is , in 4 months this place will be covered with snow and Panthers fans will be celebrating swimming withthe cup in the turquoise waters of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

They aren’t actually. Here in Edmonton it’s 24/7 Oilers. They get good crowds all season and even packed their arena during the decade of darkness. Florida on the other hand had a large influx of new fans before the playoffs
This is 100% accurate. I live in edmonton, after game 7 those car flags that adorned probably every third car on the road are _GONE!!_ Flags taken down, no one is wearing their jersey.

Anybody who was in Edmonton that day and tried to go to the watch party knows that the Ice District would have been crowded with people shoulder to shoulder if it hadn't been for the horrendous planning and preparation security did to accommodate all those people. Lines were closed after waiting for hours ahead of gametime, people budding in front of others, and police telling people they had to go home because their was too much commotion at the gate entrance. It's a shame the event planning lead to a pretty empty looking watch party.
The police did that on purpose, LMAO. It's not really like they had a choice. City council goes out of their way to make the job hard af for a police officer.
