i live in Edmonton, you can feel the positive energy, the lack of hate, People are united. how many people sang the word, GOD without swearing! in my opinion, this is a miracle

In Florida, music is not funded in the schools, so the crowds in Florida are not able to sing in time or on pitch.

Sometimes I prefer the organ accompanying the singer, but if the singer, like him, or anyone else, has golden pipes in their bodies, and doesn’t need music, vocals, etc. then there’s big respect to that.

Hands down Hatikva the best. 2000 + year old prophecies coming true and hope for the final complete redemption and fulfullment of all prophecy, all in a hauntingly beautiful minor key, all in a national anthem. The lyrics for the Canadian anthem reflect the youthful nature of Canada in the family of nations.
If you can find a full version with the full pipes and drums and orchestra it literally brings chills. Sort of like how "Do They Know Its Christmas (UK) & We Are The World (USA) were nice songs, but Tears Are Not Enough (CDN) is hauntingly beautiful.

The current singer is only following the tradition started decades ago by the long time anthem singer Paul Lorieau who was so impressed by the crowd singing along that he simply held up the mic to let them carry on. Edmonton knows how to have a great time.

The crowd singing filled me with Canadian patriotic joy and I’m a Russian from North Carolina
You always got to love it when Canada, or the United States, sings their own anthems in the crowd, or even have both countries sing along to both of them.
It’s just a shame that this was the last time in the series (and for the season), that it was heard in their Home and Native Land, but with that being said, they had to make that rendition really, really good, for that intense Game 6.

I loved the great respect and class shown for both anthems by the Edmonton crowd. Several NFL players forever turned me off on their league (some years back) with their self indulgent, "look at me!" moments when taking a knee during the US anthem. Heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in that arena on Friday night - fans and players alike. Best of luck to Edmonton on Monday night!

Nothing to say about this great crowd but as a Québécois I feel ripped off every time I hear Ô Canada sung in English. Don’t you know that this French canadian patriotic anthem was composed by Basile Routhier and Calixa Lavallée for the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day in 1880. At that time Ô Canada was about Québec. This song had nothing to do with the actual Canada.
