Used that rig for the first 2 weeks this month on a Broads pike holiday. Mainly ledgering, but never lost a fish or missed a pick up. No more trebles for me...
interesting and very cheap to make...and well done you Sir for Championing single hook pike rigs, and how to set the hookwish more like minded people would spread the word...many thanks
Thanks for that nice comment, it's good that someone out there appreciates it. Pike are getting harder to find and instead of treating them gently I still see huge trebles everywhere out there. It baffles me.... people would look after them it they were Carp.
Superb method mafriend, 👌 im away to get the tackle box 📦 💪 😮 😅 , respect and thanks, simple is always best 👌 my grandfathers famous words, tight lines aways
nice! On nylon, I often use the palomar knot. Would you think this is possible for a circlehook with soft strand? Or does the hook need to move more freely? thanks in advance, cheers from Holland
Hi there. I use that knot as it's easy to tie, plus I can swap a hook out, if I need to resize or one gets blunt. I don't think the hook needs to move freely... this works for me, but as with anything... there's always more than one way to skin a cat. I'm not sure about a palomar knot... give it a go!
Used barbless j hooks for years but still got hooks in the fishes throats regularly A non offset circle hook will hook the pike almost everytime in the scissors. Guaranteed or your money back! :)
Great informative video . Thanks
iv used on ledger set ups and has been very good, never thought i would really get into circle hooks but i have.
Absolutely brill way ahead for livebaiting where allowed.👍🇬🇧😀
