Both the zikz 605r and 612H are in my opinion the best trucks for these maps. While mostly slow, they can power through anything. I'm also loving the Kenworth even though it's a snail most times but it just looks cool and colossal
For me it’s the f-750, it’s done great so far, might even try some cargo missions with it since it has a 1 slot flatbed and can tow pull behind trailers
I'm glad you mentioned the KRS 58 Bandit, because it was such a pleasant, unexpected surprise for me as well. I initially used it on a couple of missions for variety's sake and it handled a few boggy areas with aplomb. Other trucks that have worked well for me so far have been the Step "Pike", the Step "Crocodile" (which I used for scouting most of North Peak), and the Tatra Phoenix. Once again, I loved the video… The initial montage kept me on the edge of my seat! :-) - Cheers! //Rick
2:13 seems like a disservice to Tayga 6436 With my preferred trail-blaze configuration for Tayga 6436, OHD I tires and Highrange gearbox I made it easily in 1:25:86 (bouncing into a tree and having to reverse out) Without screwing up I got 1:14:07
Great vid! I have a love/hate with the Bandit. If it's helping load cargo then i'll use it. If it's for delivery or recovery of another truck/cargo I use something else because when I need the Bandit the MOST, is when it flips/tips/drowns haha. Great work! Cheers!
Bandit always gets underrated and forgotten, yet it's probably one of the best trucks in the game. Happy to see it getting some time in the limelight :) And the new Kenworth would be great if it had any torque. But it doesn't. Devs please give Kenny some torque!
The Bandit is for sure good but i think the smaller then average fuel tank is a big reson for why its not used more. The thin tyres probadly has a part to play aswell.
i used the kolab for the big pulls (one big pull i needed the tatra force to help pull the load up one particularly nasty hill). i also used the twinsteer 6900 a LOT (was doing multiple deliveries at once). the derry you mentioned at the beginnning was a good truck for these maps too. i used the CAT for hauling medium logs and the new Mack for hauling the short logs. i used the F750 and YAR for scout duties.
The F750 is basically a mobile garage, I own like 4 and leave them scattered on the maps for quick rescues, and always fitted with the autonomous scout winch. And yep, the Kolob 74760 for the big stuff, high saddle only and it does it well. I towed the boat using the Navistar, really wished I used the Kolob! Kept getting high centered.
@@longbow6416 love the kolab - great for the big hauls AND i used it for a LOT for scouting in those crazy hard russian maps from the base game. i've only got the 1 F750 but kyou have a good idea in having several - i think i'll pick up a couple more! and hey, don't sleep on the YAR for handling lots of rocks and mud - it gets it done. (just make sure you have the winch that works if the engine is stalled LOL)
I have to admit, I've had trouble with the Derry Special on inclines. It just locks up and won't move. The Loadstar however, that thing just handles this terrain very well. Able to maintain its speed, even in high gear, if you don't mind white knuckling when driving near cliff edges at such high speeds. I still prefer to use the Tayga B over the OG. The ability for a crane comes in handy despite the slightly worse handling. I lost about 5 hours of gameplay due to the saving issue, but I used a few different trucks getting the mining drills up to the oil camp. That is a good test of vehicle power. I used the Zikz 605R, the Kolob 74760, Kenworth. All hauling the 5 slot wide trailer. I also used an Azov 5319 with a semi-sideboard to haul the large pipe up to the camp. The Azov had little issues but got bogged down a bit on inclines. The Kenworth (I don't have the final engine upgrade yet) struggled and required the help from the Kolob to get up. The Kolob was slow, as expected, but was high enough to stop the trailer from high-centering too much. It had the power to make the trek. The Zikz struggled a bit due to the lower saddle height. It needed quite a few creative winch pulls to get that trailer unstuck. Then that run was wiped out and I have to do it all again. Sigh.
@@vladvulcan That is correct. Seems to be something with the syncing, but they are working on the fix. I play that version because it allows me to play with others in the family without having to shell out the cash for multiple copies.
I've been using the White Western Star 4964 on this new season 10. They gave ne a free one on this map too. It was located at the Service Hub at the other end if the Ferry dock up the hill and immediately to the right. Good tires and stable and a 80 gallon gas tank helps and enough power for light to medium loads. Plus it has a great interior.
Speed Demons go with the Fleetstar and the biggest engine, with normal gearing and highrange gear in that thing is like a jetski surfing through the mud (just a little tippy)
I tried using the Mack M917 on rescuing the four gold boxes at the top of the mountain, I should have known, 47 inch wheels say it all. I grounded out so many times (yes, I tried all the different suspension types), got stuck in mud so many times that I contemplated throwing my PS5 through the tv. I would rather gouge my eyes out with a rusty spoon than use that truck again. In the end, I used the Tatra T813 to complete the mission.
Honestly, none! The US big crane is sadly way better at snagging cargo out in the wild. Even rescuing most trucks. The new crane makes majority of the trucks is compatible with super underpowered and the crane itself has less vertical reach; and once your boom is 1/3 extended, it won't give you any connection points to even grab cargo or a vehicle.
lol i did the exact same thing, mid mission upon spotting that section jumped back to the garage and grabbed my fav crawler and continued to wast the next 3 hrs of my life lol
I don't know if you have purchased the new Kenworth W990 DLC from your online store yet but despite it's lack in AWD, the Kenworth W990 does really good in the British Columbia region!
Your videos are really great and this one I find especially funny - not lastly because my favorite truck is in the list! But you talk about seasons all the time and I still don't know what that means. I got the basic game. Is this season thing some kind of expansion on the game? Can i buy these "seasons" anywhere? And are they seasonal (do they expire after the season is over)? Sorry for all those questions but I guess I'm too dumb to grasp that clever marketing concept of snowrunner.
Glad you enjoy, thank you for commenting! Seasons are basically one of four DLC expansions that are released over a year. Currently the Year 4 Pass is only one expansion in (Season 13), however the Year 1, 2 and Year 3 Passes are available with all four seasons. They do not have an expiration unless a store or developer pulls them (as with any game). You would buy from the store you used to buy the game. You can buy Seasons separately or get all four as part of a Year Pass. I have two videos on comparing the first three year passes.
Great video - as always - but I don't see here Tayga 6455B, which is better than Tayga 6436. You just need to spend 3 days to unlock it and you can enjoy this truck like no other.

Yea, Mack Defense is poor ;) Maybe ANK or Tatra Force (multipurpose gb)? When is not lot of mud check Caterpillar CT681/Western Star 47X NF 1424/1430. I suspect Step 33-64 will be the fastest but with one cargo...
The Kenworth, cause it can one trip everything and while slow, it is capable. If you disagree, then its a matter of skill issue. I got it through such steep and tight gaps that even the best scouts would have been screwed.
Sad that it's mostly non-american trucks which are top tier. When playing with american trucks only on american trucks we feel like we're at a disadvantage
Then that's just a skill issue on your part. First day I HATED that truck. But then decided to give it another chance and it's easily the best NA truck in the game...even revivaling some of the Russian trucks! 13.0T engine, Active suspension and whichever tires you want (I like the Mack tires personally). I did about 90% of BC with JUST that truck using modded 6 & 8 slot semi trailers (MS trailer pack), and us mini crane. I've been tackling most of Ontario with it last few days now and it's been fantastic. I predominantly use mod trucks, but I've actually been liking the Mack more than anything.
@@PainX187 Why would you test it on the hardest, most unrealistic, region that the majority of trucks are useless on? Amur and Kola are one-off maps mate. Should be testing trucks on Maine, Wisconsin, Taymyr and even Yukon. Those maps are fairly balanced in tough terrain and not cranked up to 12 that only the top of top trucks can be used on. But I wasn't even originally suggesting testing on BC, though Lol I actually started testing it in Michigan as it's a decent baseline to getta feel for the truck, but then went to many other maps to really get a truck's capabilities tested. The Mack is honestly a fantastic truck that can keep up with even most Russian trucks. And even, BC's a pretty good map to test on on hill climbs as they're so steep; and pretty deep muddy with ruts and roots. That really tests a trucks power.

You only used 2-slot bed with only spare service parts...the lightest cargo 😂 You should've actually done a 5-slot trailerwith oversized or drilling parts cargo with spare parts or something 1-slot. I did 90% of BC with the new Mack w/ US mini crane and using a modded 6-slot trailer and hardly ever had to use winch. Even used a modded 8-slot sideboard trailer and still hardly needed a winch. Shoulda put some real weight/loads on those trucks to show off their actual ability.

Well they sometimes add a new gimmick or cargo, not much but honest work, worse is coming back to the game and see something nerfed to the ground really kills the enthusiasm

The kenworth with max engine is quite good. Still bogs down sometimes on inclines but it’s manageable

The route there is very harsh with a lot of tree roots and stuff. I did it with NF1424 and it was a pain too.

The DAN does not have an articulated front, that is how frame flex works, something this game rarely sees
