Gutes Video! Allerdings hätte ich darauf hingewiesen dass eine neue orig. Dichtung sehr viel schwerer einzubauen ist als die alte Dichtung. Es fehlt auch der Hinweis dass es durchaus nicht trivial ist die Scheibe zu tauschen. Habe als erfahrener Schrauber eine Scheibe kaputt gemacht, unzählige Kommentare im Landy Forum bestätigen auch dass der Einbau nicht einfach ist bzw. man die alte Dichtung wieder verwenden soll wenn möglich. Auch muss sehr vorsichtig gearbeitet werden.

Plain old glass cleaner is a better lube than wd40 for this job. WD40 will streak like mad for ages afterwards & is unpleasant. Use 2 pieces of cord - and use a silicon-tube nozzle to set the cord - insert one piece of cord around the entire upper half of the seal, overlap it to a second cord that takes care of the lower half of the seal. That way you're only fitting 2 short cords that go fast, instead of one long cord you have to faff about lapping. Most importantly, skip any and all attempts to apply pressure to the screen to get it to seat - chances are it will crack - trust the cord to do the work, it will if you go steadily. Start by seating the Lh side, then switch to seating the RH side, then do the centers - that sequence works best. Then go around the outside with a plastic trim tool & make sure the outer lip of the seal is sitting correctly. Patience & not getting flustered/frustrated are important when fitting these screens, as is orientating the seal correctly onto the glass to begin with - it is easy to mis-orientate the seal.

Hi Stella😀 ja wir hatten die Scheibe dabei weil wir sie leider schon vorher beschädigt hatten nur hatten keine Lust sie zu tauschen, erst wenn es dann gar nicht mehr ging😀 Man lernt mit den Aufgaben du weisst schon😂 und WD 40 ein must have für alle alten Autos😂

Ein kleiner Tipp noch: mit handelsüblichen Spüli ( unverdünnt) flutscht die Dichtung noch besser

Ok ich bin eine Frau von einem Elektro/Techniker, aber WD 40 kennt man doch.
