- Rarely does anyone go back to a device reviewed weeks ago to tell you what to expect after a couple of battle scars and real world usage. After The Buzz is all about revisiting hardware we've recently reviewed, and telling you what to expect after some hard-core use. This time, we go through some real-world use of the HTC One X and tell you all about it.

Just came back here to listen to the badass intro track
Honestly the best phone review I've ever seen and trust me I spend a lot of time watching phone review videos. GREAT JOB!!!! and thanks for the review it really helped me to make a decision on which phone to get.
You've produced a well thought-out, well sorted video there Jaime. Keep up the great work guys. You all are awesome!
gotta say i love "after the buzz" every reviewer should do this more often
I just got the HTC one x a few days ago and I have got to say, I LOVE IT! I believe this is the best phone I have ever used
After the buzz is great work guys !
I miss After The Buzz!! :( Please bring it back!
After the Buzz is a fantastic feature, keep it going!
Great series.
Great presentation from a video a spoken perspective. Good insight and comments about the device. Thanks.
I love my HTC OneX....ive sinced moved on to the GS4 because I needed a micro SD card slot, and some of the software options on the gs4 suit me better than what HTC is/was offering...build quality will only go so far
Very nice review. Thanks!
Great video & review, ty!
I have to say I enjoyed your video a lot. I also have a One X and I love it, but I have to agree on pretty much everything you talked about. I've had tons of smartphones but this one just gets better and better everyday.
Thank you for a great video...
i have a s3 and absolutely loves it .. ive had htc devices, no issues with them, this is my first samsung and really like the experience
I love this dude and the show.
Best review i have ever seen yet i trust ur rivews mate
amazing review!
These are the reviews that matter.
Great introduced guys!
Great review
Professionally done!
Good honest review. I've owned the One X for about 2 months and would still recommend it only if you are not a power users as the battery life is terrible and the phone does tend to heat up after moderate gaming.
Great follow up.
very good review! After the Buzz is great!
Excellent episode, nice job :)
The One X is a great phone. Very satisfied when I switched from the Omnia 7. Android burned me pretty hard the last time I used it, but ICS really improved upon the UX.
Good job on the post and thank you for the honestly
I love your after the Buzz review... I think that's the true review to watch. I hate getting a phone cuz of the hype then after 3 to 4 months the phone start to slow down and lag so much
great show haha good concept, after buzz!
Got my Nexus on May 9 & I'm loving it, jelly bean made my phone into a new phone.
the white one doesn't show the "hand oils" (or at least not as much).
btw the polycarbonate body is very tough, you can throw the one x at solid concrete or even gravel embedded stone tiles without to much damage.
what it needs is less heat, it gets to hot to handle if you play games.
I turned in my One X for a Galaxy Nexus after a few days of owning it. The small boost in power can never compensate for those design flaws. Sure, it's made out of beautiful materials and the screen is better than the Nexus but that doesn't make up for the protruding, easily damaged camera, the ridiculously placed USB slot and button placement, the slippery backing, and the fact that the phone just generally does not feel like it was made with human hands in mind.
I can't agree more on this. All the goods and the bads. It's exactly what I think.
I used to have this phone but the 4.2.2 update made the battery drain in a number of hours. And I found it rather in setting when the phone got to 50°c while charging. The fact HTC stopped supporting it was a shame. However I didn't miss it when I got an s3 now an s4.
I got the best of both worlds with the international One XL. Has the S4 processor, LTE, AND 32gb of storage. There are also excellent voice assistants on the play store as well.
i´m using the one x with customroms, that means;better performance, more possibilitys, for example no 3-dots) and better battery life. Also after the update to JB4.1 gave much more to the device. So at least, after using it for 1 year i did the right permission to buy the phone,it is great!Thx for your video, nice, true and interesting.
I respect ur opinion...good review. Agree very much about the laggy and resource hungry sense UI. HTC really need to do something about that.
REALLY GUD REVIEW
Agreed. The Lumia is thicker, but it does not feel like a thick phone in your hand.
I actually prefer the stock keyboard on my HTC One X to the one that ran on my old HTC Desire - not sure what you're trying to spell, but mine is un-nervingly accurate. Plus the fact it doesn't automatically replace words is a godsend to an anime fan like myself!
I think you hit the nail on the head though, this phone needs Jellybean & the lightest version of Sense ever. There is a lot of potential in the hardware going to waste due to a (still) heavy handed OS skin.
Same over here, just happened for the last few week or so. I wonder if it's something wrong with the software?
Had a Desire HD which I loved because it was so unique. I upgraded to the GSII when it came out because when compared to the sensation it was just faster and the Super amoled plus blew me away. I reckon if i wasn't so pleased with my GSII I would have the One X over the GSIII
the display is amazing on the one x.
Jaime, you just convinced me to not change my iphone 4s... thanks! :) great review!!!
Really good review, I can see HTC hasn't learned much from Desire, the camera cover get scratches after few days of usage. Thankfully I could replace the back cover on my Desire, this doesn't seem to be the case with One X
If you had to guess, when do you think jelly bean upgrade would come to the htc one series?
Your my favorite pocketnow reviewer :)
Nice review, like always. :-)
@FreschD if you have the tegra edition you might be suffering from the wifi/Bluetooth antenna defect. This is a problem for the 1st batch of HOXs. If you contact htc they should fix it for you. However I fixed my phone myself.
Great idea for a video mate. Jellybean and even sense 4+ do make this phone outstanding and I still can't find a phone with similar build quality. I've rooted the phone and sometimes use Cyanogen 10.1 which makes the phone lightening fast. However, it does drain the battery.. However, then again, I do carry a rechargeable accessory which thankfully makes the battery issue moot. Again, great idea and we'll presented video. Thanks, Jason.
Now this is. Good idea
SwiftKey and Nova launcher on the One X are great. I go for the One X screen and design over the GS3 any day
could you do one more video about the last and best update,Android4.2.2 with Sense 5 and blinkfeed, its another device through this update, please!!
I have the same feeling. I'm so glad i finally didn't choose the SGSIII after reading so much about that phone. Somehow Samsung is trying too much to be like everything.
After the buzz cool concept
Even though i have an iphone 4s i really would love to be able to switch between the htc one X, my current iphone and possibly the blackberry bold 9900. I think the Htc one X and the bold 9900 are both beautiful phones (: the iphone is also a beautiful phone but its design is getting a bit dull for me.
totally saupport the final verdict. I;d choose the 1x atm over the GS3. Ah, if only I had more money or I wouldn't have bought GS2 a year ago.
I could chose between SGS3 and Note I have chosen Note just because it has a screen to kill 5,3 inch, second thing I am never going to use 4cores on an phone every guy that i tried on my note played with perfection Shadowgun no lag at all. Plus the ics makes it even more faster not compare to SGS3 but you wont noticed the "android" lag on the home screen and other stuff. I would recommend SGS3 its about a same price point like Note.I took note because of the s-pen I am a designer so you get it.
Good video
Great review! Do an after the buzz with the galaxy nexus with jelly bean
I love the way he says his name :D
Does the one x plus also has speed problems?
wow, exactly my thoughts! i needs jelly bean to be perfect! i have some jittering when swiping through home screens with one or more widgets on it. i also get no stable connection when listening to music with my bluetooth headphones.
i'm not too sure if i want to stay with all the Sense stuff anyways. maybe the upcoming Nexus 4 is the better choice.
the jeally bean update will set my choice
Like after the buzz, since you Re in the US I would prefer these reviews be done on the phones that most of us actually buy, the AT&T version.
gd review. totally agreeds to whats in for one x as compares to sgs3. ive sold my s3 and keep my one x. i just cant stand sgs3 web browsing without the resizing webpage.
well i have htc one x too ( the grey one )
and he is right if u didnt wipe it before u put it away it will leave some markes a little
i forgot to wipe it
and i have a little lane of like a bright grey color cuz i forgot to wipe it ...
the white htc one x doesnt have this
LIked it from the first minute. Great idea. :D
05:40 I remember HTC sense on my Wildfire.
:]
Straight up I have an s3 and the only thing the s3 has that the one x doesn't camera wise is extra features
ShadowGun
So does he say yes to still recommending this to other people or no?
I have the One X and its a great phone but I intend to sell it. I was kinda surprised that he didn't mention the WASTED SPACE between the icons on the homescreen. And that Widgets will stutter on the homescreen. I had to install Apex Launcher because of it. I want to go back to Stock Android......
If you mean build quality. Yep totally. Although it looks a littlebit thick compared to the HTC One X. I'd say the nokia Lumia 800 is the most beautiful phone right now. But the HTC One X comes right after.
Most ICS roms for Desire HD don't have a working camera :(
What about the Htc Evo LTE?
Definitely would haven hands down the best phone if it had a removable battery. Software issues for android can be easily solved. Most custom roms do a much better job then the factory roms.
Hopefully they update the One X right away like they did for the Vivid
Jelly bean will just sort out everything and make this the beast it should be! Cant wait for it to come to my One X!
would love to see jelly bean on the one X and Sammy GS3 then decide once the new iphone is out
i don't know, but it could be possible
(i charged my phone 4 hours ago - 30% batterylife left)
my wifi is also broken since the update 4 months ago...
Gs3 of one x??
where are you from?
Actually HTC is doing good after the buzz. Only bad thing is that [hone will not see Jelly Bean for sometime. So thats a bummer after the buzz. :(
What kind of stupid ass question I'd that? Is the one x still worth it after two weeks?! I didn't know cell phones get outdated that quick.
I'm getting my HOX tomorrow! Yay can't wait! Fuck the S3! LOL!
good with updates... bullshit still haven't updated my Desire HD to ics...
your from Honduras?
lol i cant see it...what did he do?
Date of video upload "13/07/2012". No update at this time
Heard Michael Fisher's voice in the beginning and got my hopes up :(
request OnePlus one after the buzz!!
is it better than galaxy s3 i dont think so
I think the Nokia Lumia 900 is the only other phone with equally good hardware as this. I mean they're both made out of a polycarbonate shell.
link?
I did dude I'm waiting for a fully working sense 4 rom I rooted 1st 10min I got it lol.
end of the year is realistic
too less ram , not enough battery cap., weird cam lens design on the back , yet i love material and 3 capacitive touch buttons and lastly Nice Screen!
Really not bad phone till this day,but battery is bad on heavy use. Now on standby it last most day I've had mines since last year. If your looking for really good phone don't want to pay out a lot on upgrade. Then this not bad phone and give lot of storage, nice screen size, good pic and video quality but HTC could've given us 2 gb ram instead of 1. Also it will get an software upgrade for free not bad. Still competes will against other high end phones. Not ready to change mines yet
HTC sense 4.0 still needs to be reworked. It still looks messy and with its hardware and software efficiency makes ICS going downhill. Hope when Jelly Bean arrives so will a new Sense update
