That's the international 3G One X+ not the LTE version. AT&T and Telus have LTE version which has a white beats logo and accents on the buttons and black front camera lens rim. One X's screen varies from OEM, some people got Acer other people have Sony...
Great phone. A friend of mine has one and it rocks. She's hooked up with AT&T's 4G LTE in San Francisco and her graphic design work flies to her clients. She said it's faster than her DSL connection at home.
First of all you are absolutely correct. Second, about the 67% faster claim, what the hell makes the difference exactly? - the 0.2 extra CPU GHZ? Give me a goddamn break!
Thank you PocketNowVideo for uploading this wonderful video.I really hope you will upload another video about the camera, making some tests in full hd 1080. :)
The phone makers provide updates to phones a lot earlier than you might think, its usually the carriers that take their sweet time distributing the phone to the masses.
For the front camera on the One X, did you make sure the lens cover is dust free? before I cleaned mine, the images were not very good, they improved after I cleaned it.
Is there camera difference B/w Them , actually Htc One X has really Great Camera even i found better than iphone 5, just asking if both phone have same camera quality
? not at all One X+ has upped voltage but no headphone amp, 8X, Droid DNA and One have headphone amps. Volume level is still "average" while the latter phones are much louder. However according to GSMArena the sound is much improved from international One X.
Watching this review of a phone I had so many years ago was nostalgic. I had One X and was really surprised that it was surprisingly laggy than my old phone HTC Desire S. That phone might have less RAM but everything was way snappier even as per today's standards. After a year of use I sold it away to my friend in one fourth of its price with no regrets and moved on to HTC One M7 which I regretted later 🤣
When browsing zooming in and out IS NOT LAG, it's the text adjusting so it's easier to read. It adjust to the size of your phone screen and organize the boxes of text and images. Please get that clear. All videos I have seen they call it lag but its actually a pretty good and helpful feature.
Guys, I'm desperately trying to find one of the one x+'s with the red accents. Anybody know where I can buy one in 2018? They seem to be impossible to find
Enjoyed you video, but I think you failed to mention the the+ has 64GB of storage as apposed the 16 on the One x...So that may the selling point they wanted to make, more so than the speed?
I think HTC has to change somethings to get back on their feet: 1. One high-end line, with numbers (GS, GS2, GS3), this shows consumers what they can expect when looking at a phone and it makes the choice a lot easier to compare with different brands. 2. Don't rush out phones if the previous one failed (One x plus 6 months after the original one) 3. Don't just look at a bigger screen, processor etc. but look at cool new features like Samsung did. I have an GS2, I love it but competition is good
I think the "white spots" and the "lag" in the text clearing up is because HTC Sense resizes the text when you zoom (compare with iPhone 5 vs Nexus 4-video - neither scales the text)
The reason why the browser is "lagging" isn't because the processor is bad. HTC put in a feature that resizes text in browsers so that it is easier to read. It is really useful when you get used to it.
Agreed. They lost my purchase of the One X and now the One X + due to a lack of SD card expandability and non removable battery. I can understand the battery, but there's just no excuse not to have an SD card slot.
This is a comparison of the HTC One X Plus with the original HTC One X. HTC claims that the One X+ has 67% better performance and much better battery life. The One X+ has an NVidia Tegra 3 1.7GHz quad-core CPU with 1GB of RAM, while the One X has an NVidia Tegra 3 1.5GHz quad-core CPU with 1GB of RAM. The front-facing camera of the One X+ has been increased in resolution, and the battery is 2100mAh versus 1800mAh on the original. Also, the One X+ ships with Jelly Bean.
You can see in the browser that the loading bar diapered on the one X+ but it was still loading the ads and stuff. At least the one X was honest and telling you it was still loading instead of hiding it.
I agree with you Jelly Bean makes every phone faster by itself and obviously the HTC Sense UI had an update for the One X+ that you can download to the One X and that changes the keyboard layout and the browser functionality and speed as the camera interface so this comparison is quite useless since they are comparing 2 different things the old One X (without updates which gives it a low score in performance) vs the the updated One X+.
thanks for the reply- so the speed and fluidity increased on the One X since the latest update? And what is this CM 10.1? (im not bad but, im new to the whole having a quality phone thing :P ive never had a good one before)
Don't you see? This is how we're advancing with technology, by continuing to improve by 1-2 seconds. If we were to simply be satisfied we wouldn't get far, anywhere.
I did the same thing and i m so happy, S3 was also nice but Htc is more stylish and u re more unique person because everyone doesn't have it :) I love tegra 3 !!!
Don't get me wrong my first smartphone was an Android, but I learned the hard way like many others. I don't feel the need to upgrade my phone every 6 months to a year like most companies want you to. I now own an iPhone 4 and plan to keep it for another 2 years. Even though iOS 6 was more of an improvement than an actual update, I was happy Apple released the update for my 2 year old phone. with Android for some reason I was always left out of updates. I'm more Into iPhones and WPs than Android.
HTC One X can also be updated to Jelly Bean. For the exception of browser speed, video games loading and slightly better camera, there is not that big of a difference for the performance.Tho the battery life is better and the look of it too. I just got an HTC One X for 0$ with a 2 year contract and since i have wifi at university, at home, at work i don't even need a 50$/month contract for the 4G internet connection required to get the HTC One X+. (With Telus that is) And it is working perfectly
By the way, when you are doing the app tests, most of the apps are already opened, so you are not really doing the test on how fast they open. Close the apps and then open the browser, etc to see how fast it actually is
@Ahmed Yasser: I currently have a Galaxy S2 with 1GB of Ram and since ICS the browser often closes in the background when using other apps, for those of us who heavely multitask 1 Gb just isn't enough anymore that's why I'll order a Nexus 4.
just for the record the white spots while using the browser happens only if ur using htc browser, cuz it re-arranges the text when its zoomed in, you can use google chorme and you will not face this problem
actually he is not complaining of the text adjusting feature.Look at the video more closely. when he zooms out, there are lots of white spots and even scrolling becomes a bit choppy.
That is not lag in the browser. That is the phone alligning the text or something. I've got a One X+ and you can turn it off in the options or easily just get another browser like dolphin.
HTC has really a super big potential in being the top mobile maker in the world, with their awesome designs and UI, it's just like they kill themselves for removing sd card slot and battery capacity. ughh that what make them loose with the s3. I hope htc will consider those essential factors for their next htc devices if they want to stay. :)

CM stands for CyanogenMod, it's a custom ROM based on AOSP (I don't know if you understand all of this), so I don't have the update, instead, I have Vanilla Android and I'm running 4.2.2 and it's blazing fast and SO smooth. The only thing I don't like is that when I'm playing Dead Trigger it usually gets pretty hot, but I've used a friend's one and looks like it's a problem that only mine has hahaha.
The true difference between the phones is OS - OneX on Jelly is much faster, cooler and less battery hungry. True comparison should aknowledge that, as probably this is the only thing that makes the OneX+ faster than the OneX, in every day use.
I own an htc one s and I have to say that it performs equal to the one x, if not even better in things like browsing the web, etc. it feels way smoother.
The comparison in speed is not fair since it is a different software version. You just buy the One X+ if you think it looks better and for the better battery. The tiny difference in speed is not such a big deal.
Only the htc one x is available in my country,is it still a good to buy it?.it costs about $560 in local currency.Should i buy it?.or get an s3 or a nexus 4(when its available here in a few months).or wait for the one x+ to be available here(though i doubt it will ever reach here.)?. I do prefer the white one x though, the black looks kinda dull.so the old one x,s3,nexus 4 or the new one x?,I live in the philippines btw.
How much I hate the reviewers not knowing anything about HTC browser re-flow. Every HTC has that they adjust the text you zoom in on to fit on the screen so they are always going to re-flow every web page when you zoom in because that's how it works and I love it does that because I don't have to go left-to-right and right-to-left every time I want to read a long article or have it turn 90 degrees so the text fits the wide screen.
HTC One X+ is an excellent phone it is very fast and smooth and I haven't noticed any lag or any problem with it, I have had it for a week now and it is a monster, it is very quick in terms of downloading, the only thing that really kills the battery is downloading songs and videos from torrent apps like uTorrent which really impacts the battery duration,
I really do not recommend people watch this video and use it to decide weather or not to buy the One X+. Both devices were loaded from fast boot, meaning that they could have applications on either open in the background. I know for a fact that the One X+ normally renders we pages faster than the One X. I recommend you watch the dogfight of the One X+ versus the Nexus 4.
So what? The HOX+ is a slightly higher clocked version of the HOX with double the storage. Big deal. It's not like they based it on a different chipset (not taking the carrier specific versions into consideration, of course).

Buy it just if you want 64GB. They're basically the same now that the HOX got the update. Or you can install CM 10.1 in it and you have one of the best smartphones out there.
Just got today the1x after been using Amaze for a year. Reasons I would change my 1x for the +; FrontFace easier to reach, bigger battery, 64gb instead of 16. My Amaze as 32 + 32sd (use for my music) so to me 16gb sucks, specially for 630$. the easy button 4 faster picture isn't there anymore which was practical as 4 the double flash. Going to 7 screens to 5, why?? I did like the 360 on the Amaze and my picture in the background didn't move around..so why change what works? Here r my thoughts
I wish these reviews would stop pointing out split second delays, I'm getting this phone and coming from a htc wildfire, if you want lag then take a look at that think, 10 seconds isn't abnormal between opening a menu and it becoming usable. a split second delay doesn't affect your useage of the phone atall
it was said that the One X+ has the lastest version of andriod right out the box, So it's going to have 4.2 Jelly bean? I will be very shocked if it does.
I just picked up a One X+ today and there is a little notification icon that is like an N, presumably for something with Nvidia. Can anyone tell me what it is or how to make it go away?
They both have the exact same display... Except they were both set on automatic brightness, but that doesn't mean their brightness will always exactly be the same.
This guy doesn't know how long a second is, lmfao.
That's the international 3G One X+ not the LTE version. AT&T and Telus have LTE version which has a white beats logo and accents on the buttons and black front camera lens rim.
One X's screen varies from OEM, some people got Acer other people have Sony...
One X is faster than One X+ about 5 hours.
Amazing.
Old Brandon Miniman. Great guy.
Three Days Grace - One x >> htc One-x
No.
Great phone. A friend of mine has one and it rocks. She's hooked up with AT&T's 4G LTE in San Francisco and her graphic design work flies to her clients. She said it's faster than her DSL connection at home.
stock browser sucks
+Sinxobr lol
Still sucks
Would you still recommend the GS3 because the One X+ came out 5 months after the GS3? I'm assuming the newer X+ will have better performance?
First of all you are absolutely correct.
Second, about the 67% faster claim, what the hell makes the difference exactly? - the 0.2 extra CPU GHZ?
Give me a goddamn break!
What are those 4 little shiny round dots on the back of the phone ?? never got what that was.
Thank you PocketNowVideo for uploading this wonderful video.I really hope you will upload another video about the camera, making some tests in full hd 1080. :)
I miss my htc one x 😢 can someone help me get the weather animation lock screen in my latest Android?
The phone makers provide updates to phones a lot earlier than you might think, its usually the carriers that take their sweet time distributing the phone to the masses.

So... If I put Cyanogenmod 10 on my One X Dual-Core, is it worth upgrading to the One X+? Nice video.
I've got a one x and now I'm not bothered about the one x plus thanks for sharing your findings my mind is at ease

It always amazes me how much emphasis he puts on stuff that really does not matter to ANYONE!!!!!!
Guys, I'm desperately trying to find one of the one x+'s with the red accents. Anybody know where I can buy one in 2018? They seem to be impossible to find
Still one of the most beautiful phones I have ever used.
Enjoyed you video, but I think you failed to mention the the+ has 64GB of storage as apposed the 16 on the One x...So that may the selling point they wanted to make, more so than the speed?

Agreed. They lost my purchase of the One X and now the One X + due to a lack of SD card expandability and non removable battery.
I can understand the battery, but there's just no excuse not to have an SD card slot.
When starting apps to test running speed have in mind that an app don't start when you press an icon, it's start when you release icon.
This is a comparison of the HTC One X Plus with the original HTC One X. HTC claims that the One X+ has 67% better performance and much better battery life. Yess it will. Same size, but slightly different inner specs. As you see, it's slightly faster, clearer and the camera is said to be slightly better.
will you do the full review of the HTC One X+ soon?...i really hope you will thanks :)
wait is both the brightnesses on high? I like a bright screen so which one is best suited for me?
It really surprised me that the One X + is faster. What a treat.
I wonder if able 2 compare both with the same jelly bean update, might give an idea on should pay more on the x+ or just stay with the 1x
Don't you see? This is how we're advancing with technology, by continuing to improve by 1-2 seconds. If we were to simply be satisfied we wouldn't get far, anywhere.
Does AT&T have the HTC one x + with the quad core and 2GB of ram?
I did the same thing and i m so happy, S3 was also nice but Htc is more stylish and u re more unique person because everyone doesn't have it :) I love tegra 3 !!!
that's my favorite thing lol. doesn't get outdated nearly as quickly. I have the 4s. Going to get the 5s when it comes out.
Don't get me wrong my first smartphone was an Android, but I learned the hard way like many others. I don't feel the need to upgrade my phone every 6 months to a year like most companies want you to. I love this guy's reviews. Always good, knowledgeable of the products and lots of enthusiasm in the review.
Plus I like how he says "button"
are they exactly the same size?
will i be able to use the case from ONE X on ONE X+?
Could you do some bench marks with something like quadrant and atuntu to give us more of an idea?
HTC One X can also be updated to Jelly Bean. how about the 64GB of flash storage? something tells me people don't really get that for some reason
The international One X got Jelly Bean in October, I don't know why the One X wasn't updated before he made the video.
What version is better for the one x+? AT&T Version or Internacional version? Please.
so are they both the same< do they have the same camera?
actually he is not complaining of the text adjusting feature.Look at the video more closely. when he zooms out, there are lots of white spots and even scrolling becomes a bit choppy.
HTC One X after the Jelly Bean and Sense 4+ update has become the One X+. I kid you not.I'm loving my phone even more now :)
is it true if you have multiple tabs open in the browser and u switch to another tab the page has to reload?
That is not lag in the browser. That is the phone alligning the text or something. I've got a One X+ and you can turn it off in the options or easily just get another browser like dolphin.
Well, it's not just the CPU, it's also 64 GB of memory, 2100 mAh battery, better FF camera and JellyBean. But, still, Sense needs a little work...
HTC has really a super big potential in being the top mobile maker in the world, with their awesome designs and UI, it's just like they kill themselves for removing sd card slot and battery capacity. ughh that what make them loose with the s3. I'm sorry to say this but the tests weren't even. It seems as if all apps were not closed when you loaded TH-cam it showed a video on the oneX
Can I get the one x+ in Canada with Rogers without buying it unlocked?
i cant find any lag on htc one x its all the same.u r trying to be biased..weirdo
You are blind if you don't see any lag
chrischoy9 +1
The comparison in speed is not fair since it is a different software version.
You just buy the One X+ if you think it looks better and for the better battery. The tiny difference in speed is not such a big deal.
i lost my stock music app after the update ... what to do ?? any help ?
can you disable text re-flow in the stock browser?
Im in love with my one x . just bought it today. till i watched this video
IVS is it still with you
hello why you didnt compare the back cameras?
i need to know is the one x+ coming to AT&T in America?????
Only the htc one x is available in my country,is it still a good to buy it?.it costs about $560 in local currency.Should i buy it?.or get an s3 or a nexus 4(when its available here in a few months).or wait for the one x+ to be available here(though i doubt it will ever reach here.)?. They're both totally awesome!! I don't understand why the SGS III is so much more popular. Is it really just all about advertising?
in the browser there is an option that resizes text otomaticaly and thats why you get that white thing when zooming it can be changed in the settings
that read and black color scheme on the one x plus looks pretty good
it was said that the One X+ has the lastest version of andriod right out the box, So it's going to have 4.2 Jelly bean? I will be very shocked if it does.
Finally a comment that doesn't slate anyone :) both phones are great, it's all down to personal preference.
Are these the US versions or international?
I love my One X, never experienced any problems with it, no lag whatsoever
This is more ICS vs Jelly Bean than one x vs one x+. The one x now has Jelly Bean and I can easily say there is NO lagg :)
what are you talking about? I was just pointing out that no one really emphasizes the 64gb of flash that comes on the X+
Crazy to think these was sold for 600 dollars 😃
