It's my favorite unforgivable specifically because of the sound effects and how serious our character is about it. The other two don't sound as nearly as intimidating

Reminder: In the Wizarding World, the Imperius curse is "unforgivable", but love potions (basically magic date rape drugs) are perfectly legal and even children are allowed to have them!
idk I'd say making someone have a crush on you and raping them aren't really the same thing.

The potions are incredibly specific and (relatively) easy to detect. The Imperius curse, on the other hand, can be used to make them do literally anything from goofy tap dancing to literally murdering someone on your behalf without them even being aware that they're being controlled. It's a very nasty spell and incredibly good at what it does. Literally the best way to mind control in the wizarding world.
Kinda. Some are, but it's implied that a lot of them don't work, or they have limits on how far they go. The strongest of the love potions, which acts like a date rape drug, is explicitly illegal.

It’s a shame they didn’t include the Bat Boogie Hex. An infamous spell that has giant bats made of of the victims boogers fly out their nose and swarm as they attack everyone around.

@@Took_D_photo the creator of the spell, Miranda Goshawk, invented the spell when when she was still a kid. She also used this spell on three of her sisters, the first time was used to get one of her sister to return borrowed clothes, the second time was to keep one of her sisters out of her room, and the third time was used to keep one of her sister quiet so she can do her homework in peace

Imagine still talking smack, as all four of your buddies have just been obliterated, and you've had crucio casted on you 2 times. They need to make fear a thing in this game for the enemies. It would make it more satisfying.

Does the killing curse one shot everything reguardless of how much the enemy out ranks you? Are there enemies that are immune to it? I’d imagine animated suits of armor would be an example as they are technically not alive.

One of those games you should only play with trainer. Unlocking unforgivable curses is level bound, And the idea behind the questline to do so is interesting. But the delivery is just patheticaly weak and underdeveloped.
Just a reminder: All spells are latin and therefor crucio is pronounced cruchio
Does using the curses affect the ending?
Nope
There are three different endings on using curses or not. A good, neutral and evil ending. There is no true morality ranking in the game though. Some npc's will make comments here and there, but you're free to play how you wish.
