Vito Giusto Scozzari (Scotti) (January 26, 1918 - June 5, 1996) I loved him in this episode; not an easy task to carry a plotline. Of course, we all remember him from The Godfather (1972), but I remember him best from this show and Gilligan's Island. RIP Vito.

Loved this! Another out-of- the- ordinary storyline. Vito has a great character, warm, good-natured, a bit kooky. And of course Rob and Laura find it impossible to get tough with him. Thanks and blessings for sharing this! 🙏👏👍👍♥️

I would not want Vito to leave. He was charming company. Very classy not to tell them he heard everything they said.

I have only watched dick van dyke on TH-cam and I struggled with this episode as he seemed to be taking advantage at times YET he was always giving! And it was a fun show to watch. I saw reruns of "Who's the Boss", a great show and he was so good in that well he was loved by his viewers and we forget sometimes that they are gone.

Vito was also a guest on some other TV show, my wife used to watch it...but I forget what it was called, my wife might remember, she remembers details like that.

Blooper I never noticed before, probably intentional, Gitto had gloves in his hand when he came in and put them in his hat. When leaving, no gloves.

I loved it when Rob said, "Honey, remember that I wear the family leadership/decision-making pants in the family." That's a gentleman taking care of his family - when everyone followed the laws of nature. Old school rules! Thanks FilmRise Televsion, for bringing this great show back for us all to see.

Actually in "Nature" it is quite often the female who runs things. And before Catholicism it was with people as well.

We really miss stability in this chaos of what's Left of our Country 🫤🙏

@@susanlong8978 I'm not sure how you and your "we" missing stability relates to what I said, but hey, don't fret. Having hope and faith works wonders, Susan - and so does prayer. Stability comes from within - it's not the situation, it's your reaction to it. I admit that Joe Biden's close business and financial ties to China are quite concerning, but I'm grateful we haven't lost our freedom yet. Vote Trump in 2024 and the climate in our country will return to Americans First again.

@@abbykoop5363in nature, according to biology, dominance hierarchy is such that males are alpha about 90% of the time. At least in the animal kingdom. And before Catholicism, men were still largely the military force, slave force or work force because males evolved larger, stronger and with stream lined logical thought. In other words, when cave woman heard noise in the night, she asked cave man to go investigate.

Yeah the whole “big man has the big pants” thing in the traditional family has only been around for about 120 years, and didn’t become the norm until 80 years ago.
For thousands of years families were fluid dynamics that tended to be generational but not as a rule, a collective.
Parts of Eastern Europe still hold true to these ancient family values.

Always got a kick out of Vito Scotti. If memory serves, he also played a painter in The Addams Family. Gomez hired him to give painting lessons to Morticia--because of his name--Picasso. Turns out he was Sam Picasso. Vito here plays "Vito Giotto"--reference to Giotto di Bondone ; c. 1267- January 8, 1337), known mononymously as Giotto who, was an Italian painter and architect from Florence during the Late Middle Ages. He worked during the Gothic and Proto-Renaissance period. (Wikipedia)

The only episode r that I did not enjoy. Found the painter character obnoxious, too much of Richie screaming (he was consistently terrible), and the plot was confusing. Too bad - I love every other episode!

While Laura is very attractive, she's too self-centered, controlling, whiny, and dramatic for my liking. And Rob's main issue is that he needs to grow a spine. I know it's just a show, but it's really annoying at times.
