True. Because of engine noise it is hard to communicate to the team when driving it. I had to close my helmet and tried only to talk when not full throttle (not easy as usually you then have your hands full with braking, cornering,…)
This looks like very similar to the Radical but I reckon the aerodynamic part is superior. It's ultimate track toy. Once more thanks for this different birthday present.
I agree with everything he says. It is a mesmerising, addictive car to drive once you get the hang of it. And for the required budget it is exceptionally fast: you need to look at GT3 to find faster (although I beat a few in the Praga at Spa in the Supercar Challenge, so it is pretty close and a lot depends on the driver). But gt3 is about 3x more expensive…
lighting a match near an atomic bomb is one of the worst analogies I've ever heard. You could have a raging fire near an atomic bomb and fucking nothing would happen SMH
@@scd hehe. with a compression style nuclear weapon, the explosives around the plutonium could go off if the fire got hot enough, but all the bombs need to go off at the EXACT same time to properly compress the plutonium. It would still cause quite an explosion but nothing like a proper detonation.
This car would cost much more. Looks very uncomfortable as a road car if its even road legal. I would take the more comfortable and more powerful ultima rs
To maximize their top end speed they should consider attaching the rear spoiler to the braking hydraulics (airbrake in corners, release when accelerating). This would be equivalent to DRS in F1.
Have you noticed, there is so much force there is a gap in between the roof and the frame or what ever that is e.g. at min. 6:03 , maybe it's a glare, but something the team might want to look into.
I have been noticing the pulsing gaps around the doors on both sides the whole time with the inside camera segments. I am sure they are the design decisions not to add weight by stiffening the doors, as this is a race car foremost. In fact 3:42 you can see the rubber gaskets stop before the trailing edges of the doors, which likely to help the air flow through the cockpit so the driver does not turned into baked potato. As I watched the footage a few times I realized the wavy video with the vantage of the driver's forward view was taken with a GoPro camera. It mounted through a suction cup on the right side window that being buffeted by high speed air causing the wavy effect, while the camera DSP ties to smooth out the shaking to no avail. I have no problem listening to the mic'ed realtime narration in the no doubt very loud cockpit.
I know a lot of the stuff is classified as of now, but can anyone get a rough top speed of this car? I also did the measurements of the car in my bedroom to find out how tiny the car was and is scary to think how quick and agile it is.
All the effort to hold the rear wing by its top side (in order not to disturb the airflow below the airfoil) and the structure to do so is full of empty spaces (that will disturb the airflow anyways).... i don’t get it, really...
