Dear Patrick, Letting Lorenzo and Lauren tell their story while you stayed unobtrusively in the background is a hallmark of your best work. How people become watch manufacturing entrepreneurs and what they are seeking to achieve is fascinating. Lorier and most micro brands are not generally on my radar screen. As other viewers have also stated, Lorier is now on my radar screen and I am now motivated to find out more about the brand. Very impressive work on your part. Best regards, Howard
The way she looks at him is the way everyone wants to be looked at by their partner. :E I'm buying a gold falcon because i like the peice, but also cause i like these people.
Some of the comments below already say it but I have to repeat ... well done by staying in the background and letting them tell their story. Really fantastic video!
So glad to have watched this, pun intended. What a totally real couple. I can see their passion toward each other and their creation. A very refreshing interview on so many levels. Looking forward to receiving my Neptune in February. Thanks again for this.
Pat ... somehow you just are able to catch the right people for an interview at the right time. I was waiting for this :-) Great video ... love it. And now I am really sold on those Loriers.
Excellent interview Patrick! I am waiting for my Neptune II and was very surprised to learn how young Lauren & Lorenzo are. It’s just that, design, quality and price ratio of their creation calls on, when you don’t think, long experience in horological world of vintage designs. They obviously have a passion and a sense of quality in subtle design features/details that at the end form fantastic feeling that exudes from the object when taken in hand. I want to thank you and them for this beautiful soulful interview full of honesty and inspiration. I know I will wear the watch with joy and look forward to new designs altogether with their cheerful energy embedded in Lorier creations : )
What a great video. It's cool to see the people behind the designs. they have a great chemistry too. I love their shared vision and their design integrity. I really like their watches. I own a Neptune and love it. I always get compliments on it whenever I wear it. I can appreciate the idea of designing for quality and beauty but also with the thought that most people can't drop a fortune on a watch. I'm a huge fan. Thanks Patrick for sharing this with us. Cheers.
Wow, thank you for sharing this video with us. I was on the edge of deciding whether or not to pre-order a Neptune and this put those concerns to rest. I'm proud to have ordered a watch from them. All the best!
Watch these two closely over the next few years. An incredibly creative and beautifully grounded partnership.Naturally gifted designers. Impressive indeed. Hope to add a Falcon and a Black Dialed diver. The plexiglass is a wonderful component.
Great work Patrick! Such a refreshing enjoyable interview. I love your reviews on TH-cam. Have watched hundreds of them on watches/horology and I put yours right up there. Continue on with your fabulous channel.
Great video of a great couple. I felt like I was there in the room with them chatting about their watches. I love the look she gave him when she said they looked at pricing it so we wouldn't have to go behind the back of our significant other. I can definitely relate to that! It's great to get some background on smaller brands like this. Well done Patrick and thanks again for this.
Absolutely loved watching that video, thank you for sharing. Felt a real connection with them; both as a genuinely nice couple and what they are trying to achieve in terms of their vision for the company. It has made me look forward to my Neptune - ordered a few months ago - even more!!
Wow. What a great story and presentation from this lovely couple doing what they love. Thanks for this, Patrick. Did everyone catch how Lorenzo said plexiglas is clearer than sapphire? (It has inherent anti-glare, which no mineral does.)
I'm really forward to get the chance to buy a Neptune soon. I made a mistake of not buying the first versión months ago, so I can't wait. I love the style of this couple.
such a great story, even though I really don't like the golden Falcon watch, I have a great respect for them and their watches now. I adore the black neptune and I'm seriously considering it as my next purchase.
Agreed 🙂 Lovely couple. I recently chose a different microbrand watch, but Lorier was in "the short list." After learning more about the brand, and its owners, I'll now be sure to pick one up at a later date. I like their vision, and something about the fact they were teachers (my wife has taught for 26 years presently) has me favoring them. Enjoyed the vid Patrick, and am a new subscriber, but finding that you're right up there amongst the very best. I have a lot of past reviews to catch up on.
I really like the values you guys built your business upon, the Neptune is now on my shortlist. I'm just starting my small collection, but after a lot of research and comparison, there is no doubt on my mind that this will be my 3rd serious watch.
It's nice having a face behind the company . I'm going to save up and get a falcon or neptune still haven't decided . But they're lovely and their watches seem to have alot of design put into them
Love a Lorier GMT. Checked many out on TH-cam but have not found one that ticked all my boxes. Except for Rolex GMT 2 but too pricey for most people and so hard to obtain. So based on Lorier’s current offerings, I reckon they can deliver an affordable one.
Totally agree with them. You get a vintage look or classic look but functionality and light weight so this can be one watch that you can wear everywhere and use on any situation. The perfect affordable one watch. And in my opinion as good or better than a Seiko for this reason.
So dope! Just bought a hydra and waiting for it to come! I really cant wait. I really wanted the Neptune but they out of stock. Hopefully they restock soon!
Great Video, didn't know much about the brand and not a huge micro fan because they don't seem to stay in my collection! I would serious look at the watches just because of the ownership!
What a cool couple and a cool product. Those watches look fantastic. I'm almost scared to buy one now, because I could totally see it replacing my whole collection.
What a great video and lovely couple. I cancelled my preorder for the v2 Neptune as my Tudor BB58 had just come into the AD. I didn’t think I should have both. I do regret cancelling the Neptune because every time I see it I wonder “what if” I do imagine owning a Lorier one day tho Good luck all Kind regards Ali
Take Time, w/Patrick Marlett. Yeah. That’s what I figured. The 58 is awesome btw, I do regret not getting the Neptune tho. But... How many vintage style divers with gilt dials does one need? Would’ve been nice to handle one tho. Look forward to their future offerings. Keep up the great videos Pat! Always enjoy your content. All the best. Ali
Fantastic video patrick, I love these interview type videos you do. I feel even better about my pre order purchase of the Neptune now that I've seen this and can't wait to see what the come up with in the future... i.e. the sounds of a gmt from lorier gets me excited like Pamela Anderson use to
As always Pat coming through with the 🔥 interview. Seriously considering getting one of their watches I think they could definitely be a major player here in the next few years their designs and everything about them are really cool. I just hope they can stay around that $500 mark That's The Sweet Spot foremost working class collectors
I like them..... They seem really warm and enthusiastic....and I like the designs. Nice integrated mix of elements from some iconic vintage watches with their own character. Now my critique. I don't mind going with the acrylic instead of sapphire, but I feel like this price point should have upgraded to a Miyota 9000's series movement. I don't actually own any vintage watches, so maybe I don't fully get it. I'm usually looking for sapphire, maybe ceramic, and of possible a higher beat rate..... Along with a cool design language. When a watch goes over the $300 mark, the competition starts getting really fierce. You've got Swiss movements and all kind of spec monsters. If they used a little bit more compelling of a movement, this package would seem more competitive to me. I'm not meaning to sound critical. I'm just sharing what kind of happens in me when I see these very lovely designs and then look under the hood at the specs.
Cool interview and insight. Great story, especially the one about the father's Lorier watch. I still like the Neptune out of the available models currently. And, I think the 2nd version of the Neptune is a lot better. More balanced as they say.. the dial did look a bit small on the 1st version and the shiny rehaut was a bit too large as well. I'm glad the lume has also improved. Being a dive watch, even if used more as casual desk diver, needs to have good, if not great, lume. I don't have any issue with an acrylic crystal. They do have their charm and some advantages over sapphire. I'm glad they can actually work together as a couple and share the same vision for their watch brand. From the vibe I'm picking up, these watches have been well received and the quality and design and price level are all very agreeable. Looking forward to seeing what else they will make and put out into the market.
I had an opportunity to see some future designs... I can’t tell you how excited I am for 2019/20. They’ve thoroughly thought through their future products.
I have the original Neptune gilt and love it, was one of the fews that complained that the dial was too small but to be honest after getting used to it, my 36mm Tiger 1016 dial feels big now too lol. but overall proportionally the Neptune dial feels small. Might get a black Neptune II next, Falcon would be nice but not a big fan of the hour marks.
This is why I prefer micro brands -- such attention to detail and passion! Hopefully, they don't sell the company down the road to Corporate America where the focus will only be on profit.
I think these pieces look very very nice. However I would love to see all the micro brands that are so "inspired by vintage watches" to at least offer ONE variation in a Vintage size like 34 or 36mm.

I know... They’re pretty darling, haha
I had the exact same thought about how she looks at him. Very sweet!
i thought the same exact thing when i watched their first gmt video that was of course after this video i just happened to ot first.
😍 So nice when the people behind the product are as genuine and nice as the products themselves. No pretense here. Lovely lovely.
Agreed 🤩
What a lovely couple they are.
much younger than I expected them to be! dope! now I'm even a bigger fan! great vid Pat! love these type of interview videos
What a nice genuine couple. I just got a Hydra and watching this I can only wish both of them a world of success.
Some of the comments below already say it but I have to repeat ... well done by staying in the background and letting them tell their story. Really fantastic video!

It's refreshing to see the founders and the passion behind the products.
Best of luck Lorenzo and Lauren & Thanks Patrick for creating this video!
They seem liked really cool people. I love their super personal relationship with watches. Very nice watches.
Excellent interview Patrick! I am waiting for my Neptune II and was very surprised to learn how young Lauren & Lorenzo are. Of course! *This is why I made Take Time.* To share stories like this. Be well, Steve!
I love how into each other they are the way they are seemingly always addressing each other, great watches great video nicely done 👍
We need more of this kind of vintage looking watches, the design is properly stunning.
Such a cool story. Lorier is definitely on my list after seeing this video! Thank you Patrick!
🤘
Ok, seeing a husband and wife team endears me even more to the brand!
Their genuineness is super endearing!
Wow, thank you for sharing this video with us. I was on the edge of deciding whether or not to pre-order a Neptune and this put those concerns to rest. I'm proud to have ordered a watch from them.
All the best!
Thank you, Scott! I’m sure they’ll be happy to hear that, haha.
I didn't expect them to be so young!
Watch these two closely over the next few years. An incredibly creative and beautifully grounded partnership.Naturally gifted designers. Impressive indeed. Hope to add a Falcon and a Black Dialed diver. The plexiglass is a wonderful component.
Patrick - you’re really setting the bar high on these interviews! They are definitely a brand I’ll “watch”!
🤦♂️ Haha, thank you.
Excellent interview, lovely couple, I was looking for a “microband” to ad to my collection, and I think I found it, congrats Lorier family, bravo
I blindly preordered one. Now I’m glad I did.
I do that with all my watch purchases 🤘
Take Time, w/Patrick Marlett 😂
I absolutely love these watches....and now the couple behind it
Great stuff. At first I was put off by the thickness but the more I see these watches, the more I like them.
Great work Patrick! Such a refreshing enjoyable interview. I love your reviews on TH-cam. Have watched hundreds of them on watches/horology and I put yours right up there. Continue on with your fabulous channel.
Hey! Thank you so much. Glad you’re enjoying the work here.
Great story Ortega family. Love the watches especially the Neptune. Keep up the great work! You guys are doing it right. Kudos!
WOW what a sweet couple. Makes me happy I ordered a Neptune. I Can't wait for it to arrive.
Congratulations on the Neptune! Yeah, couldn’t have ordered from a better group. 🤘
Lorier will be my next watch. Definitely my next watch 😊. I admire the genuiness of the owner🙂
Of course! Thanks for watching. 🙇♂️
Hey love it! You guys rock, and I simply love my Neptune Gilt that much more after watching this video. Much success to you both.
Watching this interview reinforces my desire for a Lorier. I will be getting one. Thanks for this.
🤘 Gnarly! Let them know Patty sent ya 🥴
They're incredible. Definitely one of my favorite watch brands.
Beautiful done Patrick. They are such awesome people. I wish them the best with Lorier. I love their watch and i will order one soon.
Damn, it is amazing to find a company that will stick to their vision that could lose profits. Much respect!!!
Lovely founders, lovely watches!❤⌚👌
Great to see the faces behind one of these companies. They seem like a really great couple!

Enjoyed this vid. Helped nudge me to pick up one of their pieces
I really like the values you guys built your business upon, the Neptune is now on my shortlist. I'm just starting my small collection, but after a lot of research and comparison, there is no doubt on my mind that this will be my 3rd serious watch.
Rock on, man! Lauren & Lorenzo are lovely. Helps they make a fine product as well.
Awesome interview. Thanks Patrick.
It's nice having a face behind the company . I'm going to save up and get a falcon or neptune still haven't decided . But they're lovely and their watches seem to have alot of design put into them
Lorier Chrono? Lorier GMT? I'll keep buying them if you keep making them !
Yeahhh, that *chrono* though...
Tell me you saw the design!
@@camrackam791 I can't say the number of designs... But *I did.*
No wayyyyy I'm jealous. Good for you Patrick!

I actually like that u use plexiglass crystal rather than domed sapphire. Keep on creating good watches and I'm praying for ur further success.
Great interview. They come off as really likeable people, and they have cemented my desire for a Neptune.
🤘
Thanks for the interview Patrick!
🤘 Of course
just picked up a blue neptune 3. So so excited to get my hands on it.
Cool couple! Hoping they succeed in their endeavors!
What a beautiful story❤ i think the story behind makes it a perfect gift for a partner
Great interview mate, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The watches look great.
What a wonderful couple!!! I am on the wait list for a blue Gemini
This is really great. Even more endeared to this brand
A very nice couple. I wish them success!! The falcon is on my wish list for 2019! Cheers!
Yeahhh, that’s a great route to go. Any one in particular you like?
I had to pause the video after Seiko 5 to pre order my neptune.
Totally agree with them. You get a vintage look or classic look but functionality and light weight so this can be one watch that you can wear everywhere and use on any situation. The perfect affordable one watch. And in my opinion as good or better than a Seiko for this reason.
Great vid with a lovely couple producing very nice watches 👍👍👌👌
Great interview! I can’t wait for my Neptune to arrive!
This was fantastic !
*Thank you!*
So dope! Just bought a hydra and waiting for it to come! I really cant wait. I really wanted the Neptune but they out of stock. Hopefully they restock soon!
I just got my Neptune v2, it has far surpassed my expectations. It’s amazing!
Loving the gold Falcon with white dial! Coincidentally I’m looking for a gold watch at the $500 range so it’s perfect!
Yeahhh, those gold Falcon’s are dope.
Great people, great watches
Great Video, didn't know much about the brand and not a huge micro fan because they don't seem to stay in my collection! I would serious look at the watches just because of the ownership!
Nice couple with a good taste.
excellent interview, congrats for the watches, i really enjoy their designs. i m waiting for my neptune 😇

I do love those 58’s. No harm, no foul. Lorier will be sticking around, without a doubt. Plenty more chances to own one. 👌

It all really depends on what complication (movement) is used next. I think they do great work though, yes.
Counting the days for my Neptune!

my first diver will be a lorier. BUT THEY ARE ALL OUT OF STOCK.PLS MAKE MOAR
Wow, seriously? I’m sorry to hear that. Such a great problem for them, haha
I like this company , one of the most interesting microbrands out there...
What great people! Makes me want to definitely purchase from them

Lorier is an excellent micro. Nodus, Halios, Autodromo, Seal Watches... So many folks doing it right.
Great video!
*Thank you!*
I've got the Neptune V.1 this watch is a keeper a class watch.
I want one
I think these pieces look very very nice. However I would love to see all the micro brands that are so "inspired by vintage watches" to at least offer ONE variation in a Vintage size like 34 or 36mm.
Great interview! Would love to see their take on a GMT. And somehow shave a mm or two out of the case height.
That Flacon is a beauty
Enjoy ur adventure
Thank you for this amazing video. Please can you do a review of the Lorier Hydra in gilt please :)
Haha, perhaps when one frees up... That’s my favorite model of there’s.
