The only Railway Station in the world where all trains enter Backwards,
it looks strange....how is it possible or what's the reason behind this....
Watch this video completely and get all the information of this strange but working Railway Station of Pakistan....
I did Baluchistan Rail tour on ML3 Railway line from start to the last point by recent month, during the visit I came to know about this amazing fact of Bostan Railway Station in Baluchistan province of Pakistan,
Bostan Railway Station is a junction Station and a narrow guage track length of 300 kilometers leads to Zhob District via Muslim Bagh and kanmehtetzai, and the other line is of broad guage which leads towards Chaman Railway Station which is a border city of Pakistan adjacent to Afghanistan,
and on the other side of the line is Quetta city,
there ain't any direct approach on broad guage track from Quetta or also from Chaman to bostan station, rather then there are 2 sidings which would be used for the entry and exit of the trains,
train passed through the curve and stops just after the point and then came back to Bostan station by reverse,

Mr.Sharma Pakistan is open for any bona fide traveler, As an Indian Tourist you may visit Pakistan some time in future. However in Baluchistan Indians need special permit and only controlled escorted group travel is allowed for religious events, which must not exceed 72 hrs.

I hope that the goat on the train had a valid ticket? Fascinating, so old fashioned but effective. The food cart man on the platform was doing very brisk business too. Bostan Junction looks to be at an isolated area of Pakistan in Baluchistan region. Well done Faheem, thank you.

Amazing. We had an educationist from present day Bangladesh . His name was Syed Mujtaba Ali, he used to be the education minister in Kabul. He has described all this routes in very details in his travelling novel named "Deshe Bideshe". He mentioned this junction as follows. "The khaibar mail rested here for three and half hour. This is an oasis. We had a bath after two days. Localities sell water in ship skin . You can have three vistis of water in an anna. We hade rice with kidney bins after few days. Though the weather was hot , but quickly I fall asleep under a huge unknown tree. The crew were changed. The guard started to honk profoundly after the afternoon prayer, Fresh coal loaders were busy toasting huge quantity of coal in the broiler, and we were off in a hurry."

محترم جناب فہیم صاحب سندھ میں ایک ریلوے اسٹیشن ماہوٹا نام سے تھا اس پر بھی ایک وڈیو بنائیں اور دوسری بات یہ کہ 1964 سے 1967تک ہم کوہاٹ بیس پی اے ایف میں رہائش پذیر تھے میرے بچپن کے دن تھے ہم سب بہن بھائی صبح سویرے ایک نیرو گیج ٹرین کوہاٹ سے ٹل کی طرف جاتی تھی اس کو بڑے شوق سے دیکھتے تھے اسٹیم انجن کے زمانے تھے برائے مہربانی اس پر بھی ایک وڈیو بنائیں تاکہ ہمارے بچپن کی یادیں تازہ ہو جائیں بہت شکریہ

I am from India, Uttar Pradesh state, by seeing Pakistani railway train and track with system feeling of 30years back of Indian railways, now Indian railway is smooth fast and totally automatic signalling with electromagnetic track changing with electrified engine with speed at least 160kms per hours with maximum speed 220kms per hours at this time .

I really gotta tell this... Well it's an very interesting thing... Never seen this Before...so basically Y type of routes are built just to save time and to avoid loco reversal, and there is Even no need to turn the loco also ... It's a wonderful Idea... Never seen this type of process in IR... Great job... Really got to learn something new..

Biswas Bhae, what do you mean by you have never seen this type of process in IR, This line was constructed between 1879 and was completed in 1887. This was INDIA not PAKISTAN. :)

In Pakistan all locos run on SHF mode and not on LHF like in India. So by this technique, not only they will save time but the loco will remain in SHF( Short hood front) mode.

LHF is not recommended in PR except in emergency cases or unavailability of turntable, hope you was also aware of IR Loco pilot's strike against using LHF
