Named after the German Chancellor, Otto von Bismarck. And its the largest Battleship of Germany. Especially his sister battleship, KMS Tirpitz. Armed with a 42cm (15+ inches) Main turret.
Built: 1st July of 1936 in Blohm and Voss shipyard of Hamburg, Germany.
Launched: 14th February of 1939.
Fate: 27th May of 1941. Pursued and sunk by Royal Navy in Atlantic Ocean.
Not completley correctly, she was armed with 38cm, not 42

Capital ship includes battlecruisers, battleships and carriers. It's a general term. Scharnhorst is a battleship, some people like calling it a battlecruiser, but I don't think that's correct.

@@Caradyy HMS Hood WAS actually sunk by bismarck, because of the Bismarck's 5th salvo piercing HMS Hood's upper deck, and the shell heading straight at the ammunition storage, it detonated the whole ship in half. i could provide more details, but its hilariously long.

Great Animation ! But the Bismarck-Model looks more like Tirpitz than Bismarck. Bismarck had no AA-Gun un Turret B and no second Radar on the second Rangefinder.

A little historical mistake: the Prince of wales and the hood did fight against the Bismarck and the Prinz Eugen at the same time not after the hood sank

People truly forget the true cost of building a battleship of any caliber be it in the resources and logistics in order to keep them operational but also the human cost since everything was done manually ie range distancing, loading, fueling everything was either manually driving or human assisted

I wouldn't call her Trash, she's a beautiful Battlecruiser and I had to respect her, not because she's the Pride of the Royal Navy, but to respect for the people who died instantly aboard her
@@austr1an_reaper I like the Bismarck but calling the HMS Hood trash is absolute nonsense. Surely she wasnt in her best form anymore when WWII began but she still had a topspeed of 28 knots with a 15 inch battery and decent armor.
