    Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included th-cam.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.

    I have done some woodworks in the past but this woodwork plan th-cam.com/users/postUgkxZF0EMnrujZvqHhGkxiz559uIABJWR9TG helps me do much in a far lesser time than i used to do i have already built several projects with this plan and i intend to do many more soon. Thank you so much!

As an Architect, your work resonates and shows that the combination of design and crafting of elegant furniture is not dead and forgotten 8n this age of Ikea knock-offs. Thank you and Kudos to you. 17 7/8'' - 17 13/16''. OMG I'm so glad I live in a country with metric system ! :) Those fractions of inches are just unbelievable for me !
    How old a kid has to be before understanding those numbers ? :)

    • @Foureyes.Furniture
      @Foureyes.Furniture  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      In all honestly, it's goofy. But it only really becomes problematic when dividing. Like if you needed to divide 17 13/16 by 3. But you'd only be doing that if you were, like, a machinist or something...and then you'd end up using the metric system probably....hahaha :)

    • @tomblanco2001
      @tomblanco2001 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have been dealing with fractions like that for a long time. With enough practice it doesn't bother you. When I want to compare 7/8 to 13/16 I mentally convert 7/8 to 14/16, then the comparison is easy. The difference between 14/16 and 13/16 is 1/16, not hard. For multiplication and division.... well, there's an app on my phone for that.

    I'm wondering how the Maker brand Simple Finish has worked out on the India Ink after 3 years. I have come by some oak from old college dorm beds and although not a big fan of oak, the black finish is spectacular and maybe could be combined with some maple? Otherwise, do you have another suggestions for a finish if the Simple Finish has not held up?

    Is the a benefit that made you choose screws and plugs in one area then dowels in another? I only use screws like that if I need them to clamp a joint I can’t get clamps to. Is there another benefit I’m missing or simply what you just grabbed first to reinforce?

    For example, the joiner?
    Why do you call a machine which straightens and flattens surfaces of wood a joiner? It does not join materials together.
    Why do you guys use imperial measurement when clearly metric far more accurate?

    Why did you decide to do a longer form video?

      I just wanted to do a build that got back to how I used to build things...spending a little more time on them...and figured I'd document it all and present it that way

    WTF is 13th/16th.. how do you process that in your head.

    Not a fan of longer format videos. But then again I did watch all of this one and enjoyed it but if I see that videos are this long I tend to watch them when I get time and if I get time. I wouldn't want to miss one of your video. Just my personal thoughts. I was also giving you a creepy wink , I had some thing in my eye. 😉

      That's a legit concern. A lot of people may do that. But I hope that they'll end up watching it when they have time, or they will watch it in a couple chunks. I'll just monitor it and see how it goes.

    Why didn't you use dominos for attaching the oak plank?

    So if I understood it right, the metric difference between them where ~1,6mm?
    Was that small difference a mistake, or perhaps just how it turned out in reality?

      it's the type of thing where I know there is no way I can get all 3 EXACT. So I figure out the closest "measurable" thing that I can achieve. Measure that amount in from each side, and hope for the best. Worst case scenario my two sides will be the same, and just the center will be an oddball. Best case, I get lucky
