+elexis Salomon if you get a branch and plant it, it has little chance of growing. Our collected materials have mostly no roots but they have " nebari" or root flares and they grow. The reason is that the residual energy after we collect them is still of large amount and that energy is what the plant will use to survive and grow what it needs such as roots. you have to keep them moist while in transit otherwise dehydration can kill them even if it was dry for even 30 minutes.

+Trexie Balaba No specific measurement, anyway you have to water your Pemphis 2x a day while you spray sea water or salted water 3x a week only on the leaves. Re sea seeds yes I only place them above the soil.

plant collected material correctly. use pure river sand medium. the coarse ones as drainage layer, the fines on top. tie with wire snugly to anchor material in pot. put in complete shade til new shoots have grown 4 to 6 inches. then ease to sun gradually. water 3 times a day. no fertilizers but rooting hormone.

yes. try to select local species that can withstand salt spray. Had that been here my Pemphises would flourish much.
