- In todays video I go around with the Canon 50mm lens shooting everything from portraits to street photography and even some fun lakeshore landscapes. I wanted to show that even with some cheap glass you can get some really nice shots.

Some of those came out really great nice snow pics too. I am M3 and M6 user normally I leave my 22mm on the M3 and my 55-250 stm/converter on the M6, but a fixed lens like your 50 would be really cool! Can you believe how much Cannon is getting for their M 35mm lens hard to lay down that kind of cash on M class lens : (
Yeah, thats sort of the reason I went for a DSLR and plus the crop sensor allows me to use the efs glass too which is really budget friendly. Canon have gone a little wacky with their third party support lately 🤷♀️

If you use it with an APSC camera, the focal length is actually 50*1.6=80mm (on full frame) which is good for portrait but it's a bit tight for everything else. I think another affordable lens is Yongnuo 35mm f2.0 which is more versatile since it's 56mm on fullframe.
Yeah true, but so far I’ve enjoyed the focal length. Definitely looking for something more wide for my next lens 👍
