Happy holidays everybody!! The Christmas event has arrived: It's Yule Toad! For 12 days a new track will be uploaded! Half of the tracks this event are viewer-suggestions, too, or at least heavily based on them.
The twelfth and final song is one of my own picks. I've had this idea on the backburner for a while, as something I'd do eventually but wasn't sure when I'd really get around to it. I figured, with it being some of my best-received work, however, I'd give you all what you'd been looking for.
L is real.
Luigi replaces Deltarune Chapter 3's superboss Mike. This is in no way canon to Deltarune, but Luigi isn't canon to Super Mario 64 either. Luigi replaces Mike as both characters were at one point highly speculated to be in their respective games with things like L is real and Spamton referring to this "Mike". Whether or not Mike IS real in some capacity, I personally doubt he's going to be the next superboss. But that's why I specifically made this for a reality in which he is: it's already nonsensical, why not go all the way?
I already went in WAY too much depth about SM64-rune in the Bowser Smart Race, so go check out that description if you want the full details, but to keep it short:

Goomba and Bully's colors are a coincidence, they are not representative of the actual Kris and Susie.

I think the coolest part is that these are gradually getting more and more animated and meticulous. The characters are fully moving now, the text is bobbing up and down, the water shimmers, not to mention the amazing music!

@@marcelodias5625I made it so he is a ghost using the stone star as a power source that you construct with the pieces. He has a grudge to you and mario who may have a grudge on him for doing something reckless out of jealousy. This makes sense because luigi is a mike stand in. I have a comment going over some dialogue and flavor text. He is upset at being the shadow to his brother and being neglected because of it and there are 4 outcomes(maybe 5 if there is a weird route).

I like how some associate this song with B3313 while others with SM64:Classified
Was not expecting to hear a leitmotif from a B3313 track, but Wet Dry Town fits so perfectly in this context I love it.
i mean, wdt does use the wdw intro as a motif, but this wdw motif sounds significantly more like wdt than wdw

i like how unlike most of the other songs that use the original HUD font, this one uses the beta font. Its a very nice detail.
edit: while i was relistening to this song again i realized the font also changed back to the original HUD font when mario was referenced.

One thing I’ve liked to imagine in terms of story is that Toad doesn’t actually go by Toad but instead goes by Captain (or Captain T. Ode, for Origami King fans), and throughout chapter one wears an explorer hat like the one that Captain Toad wears.
They do a bit, where everyone is still very much surprised at him actually being a toad… although he looks basically the same.

I love the title! I really like the idea of "Eternal Star" being the actual text, it's just a really cool title for that statue.
Also, wow, I did not intend for people to take my "Kris turned into a Goomba from not watching the Super Mario Bros. Super Show" comment seriously, but if that disclaimer in the description is really necessary...I guess someone must have.

Edit: I booted up Mario kart after watching this, and the menu that popped up was the “Luigi kart 8” one. I think it’s a sign. It’s Luigi time.

I was confused on what Luigi was supposed to be as Mario is Spamton, Peach is Jevil, and Bowser is Berdly, then I read the description and he’s supposed to be Mike, the theoretical antagonist of a future chapter.
Mike could be just the secret boss. Or Tenna. Or Tenna is the secret boss and Mike IS the antagonist? This is so confusing I'm sticking with chess not because I'm biased.

It being Luigi was specifically with this fact in mind since Luigi was "lost" by being scrapped in development and somehow being sealed or trapped in the L is Real statue.

Honestly my favorite part of this series of songs is the castle theme being the freedom motif as it is the CORE of the mario gang, just like the freedom motif is the CORE of gaster, the Mario NEO rainbow road appearance is great too, also, is it just me or does the file select melody sound somewhat like Megalovania?
Aside of that, concept is excelent, execution is excelent, 10/10

METAL CAP IS FREEDOM LEITMOTIF! It’s that or wing cap, both are in playing my game and thank you so much for to. Metal is in this, wing is in power of the stars (I think, I didn’t hear metal so I assumed it is).
Actually Inside the Castle Walls is the freedom motif (it's the only motif to appear in all three main battle themes). Also the Freedom motif doesn't even show up in NYCTBA, but it DOES show up in Dialtone. Guess what shows up in this AU's Dialtone replacement :)
